I drove about 60 miles to Canton to pick up a rental through Uber. When I got there the car had been wrecked and I was told by the staff that I could take it or leave it. I paid the $300 upfront for a week of rental I paid every Thursday ever since then and all of a sudden six weeks ago I start being charged twice once for upfront charge next for a pre-authorization charge, and was told this was not being done but indeed it was. the worker at that location is very mean very ruse very unprofessional. When I return the car on a Thursday, I was at zero but all of a sudden I started getting all kind of charges in my account and it is now overdraft to my bank account and Avis refused to take the charger off saying that it's standard. I needed to wait 14 business days for the charges to come off of my bank account. This is truly been a disaster. Never rent from Avis. read more

The 2 guys working at this Avis location at 3910 Tuscawaras in canton are the epitome of ghetto. They are rude, they have no manners, they have the absolute worst attitudes, no business etiquette no nothing! I cannot believe they have jobs! If you plan on going here, I Would recommend that you read these 1 star reviews first.. and believe them!! I left there so frustrated it's crazy. Rude manager. Immediately told to park differently. Parking space lines are practically invisible. Genuinely didn't see them at all. Pulled up next to the curb and he came outside before I even got out of the car to tell me to park correctly in a parking space. Then tells his employee to charge me for gas after I stated it has 3/4 tank and only had 1/4 tank at start. Insisted that I prove it. I did. Then said he had to call the branch where I received the vehicle to confirm. Started rude. Continued on rude. Wrecked my mood for sure. Thanks friend. You are contagious. read more

I wasn't able to get the car I was supposed to get and they charged me a upcharge fee and the car I had to get wasn't fully cleaned but going to tell me I will have to pay 450$ cleaning fee for a little bit of dog hair and poor customer service read more

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I have rented car regularly from various businesses over the years and have never had an issue. This location, however, is by far the worst I have ever seen. They do not clean or check the cars. The engine - oil lights are constantly popping on. license plates are expired. Cars have foul odors. Rudest customer service I have ever witness. They do not listen nor care about the customers in any way, shape of form. They charge your card after you drop off for made up things. Doesn't matter if you make them come out to the car and double check to make sure it's good - they still find something to charge your card for after you leave. No point in coming back to complain because they will go off on you. It's almost like they have some scam going on there. Don't trust them with your credit card. They will steal from you!! read more

The car had a foul odor that would not go away. There was no nearby Avis where I traveled to after picking up the car. I had the car for 8 days. When I called about the stench, the lady said if I come back to town, they may be able to give me another car, but she needs to talk to the owner. I was traveling from California and was on a very tight schedule, so I couldn't go back to trade it in. The best thing I can say about the car they gave us is that it ran and got us from point A to point B. The interior was very basic, nothing automatic, absolutely no bells and whistles for the price I paid. When I returned the car, I told the employee that the car had a bad smell and that I had called and reported it a few days earlier. He could not help me and just gave me the card for the owner of the company. Employees are not trained to work with customers and didn't seem to care. read more
