this is the second time this happen to us first time I assumed my wife miss a toll rd. on our trip with the rental so I got a bill 2 weeks later and payed it. this time I drove and payed cash for all the toll stops on the West Virginia turnpike and still got billed for all the toll stops. this is just like Verizons hiden charges that they got busted for years ago .I have to show proof that I paid the tolls to get my money back. never ever use these people again. has anyone else get ghost tolls add two weeks after your rental. trust me it a scam, it's only like 35 dollars so most people will pay it like the first time, but it's funny how it happen twice in row with their rental. we been driving to family down south for 35 years we pay all tolls with cash. read more

The employees are terrible to work with. There is zero sense of urgency, unless they are gossiping amongst themselves. They put me into their cheapest/smallest car, and it was ridiculous. For $81 dollars a day! After leaving and not 2 miles down the road did I notice there was no windshield washer fluid. Then the temp was running hot. Pulled over and realized they never checked the fluids. They rented me a car that wasn't even maintained. I had to go to the gas station and purchase fluids to just make it to my destination on time. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - No rentals - Car Rental Near Me - Akron, Ohio

I have rented cars several times from this location and today I planned the same. I got there showed my I.D. and gave them my card and was told I needed a utility bill and something to prove my address. Since when is that needed? I rented from that location this past Spring without any issue. You could have rented to me, but the Manager said no without even offering assistance. I realize now that they are all Managers and it was nothing but some Agent on a power trip. I am trying to get a District Manager to help, but that is laughable. Enterprise what happened to your company? Is all customer service gone? Very sad and disappointing. Also I just got this message from the Customer Service team and I would like to add that its fake. If you go to the website they provide it is nothing more than a generic list of phone numbers that are not open on the weekends. How could this person be messaging me if they aren't in the office to be contacted? This is nothing more than discrimination by Enterprise. If someone is using a debit card instead of a credit card they are treated differently and are forced to jump through more hoops by providing two utility bills on top of having to deal with someone like the person I had to deal with. As I have stated I rented earlier this year without a problem at all which is why I returned. I had two free rental days available. That should tell you that I have spent quite a large amount of money renting from this company this year. I have an actual credit card, but only had the virtual version of it because the physical card is being mailed to me which I have proof of. This is discrimination and do not for one minute think I am not going to drop this matter. My car unexpectedly broke down and I put my full faith in Enterprise that I would have a rental. Without that rental I had reserved yesterday everything is now drastically changed. There is nobody to help because its a weekend so here I sit wondering what is going to happen to me. While that employee and the District Manager that I cant get a hold of have a wonderful weekend. This company and their AI generated customer service responses is absolutely the worst. Had a luxury car reserved for a Fri-Tues. Called the day before to make sure they'd have one. A friend dropped me off and there is no car. 1/2 later they're gonna go get an Audi 10 min away. Came back in a Mazda SUV that reeked of smoke. No one really apologized except the young man who gave me a ride home. I could have been on road 2 hrs earlier if I knew I was gonna have to drive my own car anyway!! Overhearing other conversations I can't believe that this international company can't provide the services they actually are in business for and that separate locations can't really talk to each other or modify/fix/amend things done online or another location. Outstanding service by the employees at the West Market St location for saving the day. Scheduled a rental to be picked up at 8:00am at the Turkeyfoot Rd (South Akron) location. Upon arrival to where I thought I would be picking up the confirmed rental, I was advised by the manager that they would have no vehicles available there for the next few hours. That left me speechless and flabbergasted, with zero fault pointed to the person speaking with me. This was going to ruin my day and make me late for work. He advised me Enterprise does not turn off the online bookings even if they're overbooked - a TERRIBLE business practice. Again, absolutely zero fault to the person relaying that message to me. The manager there was subbing in from the downtown Akron location and was performing admirably. The security alarm was going off in the background with a technician on site troubleshooting, the tablets used to check out vehicles weren't able to be connected to the WiFi. With all of that going on, this manager was able to find me a car on-the-fly at the West Market/downtown Akron location. I had a brief but pleasant wait chatting with the regional manager at that store. Great service by the employees of this location despite facing internal and external hurdles. read more

I appreciate the upgraded car, however, there was a faint smell of smoke and the rotors needed servicing. I needed to extend my rental one additional day, and upon returning, I asked if I could be dropped off down the road, and the staff were accommodating. Overall, this was a routine transaction. The only thing of note regarding the staff, is that I was referred to as "this kid" by the woman attendant. I'm 25, and probably older than she is. I'll take it as a compliment. read more

We reserved a pickup on the website several days before our trip, but when we arrived that morning they did not have a truck in stock. When we explained that we were picking up furniture from Ikea in Pittsburgh, the sales associate rented us a cargo van at the lower truck price. We appreciated her ability to rectify the situation, even if we were a little annoyed about not getting a truck. Return was not a problem. We would definitely rent from them again. read more
