When we got off the airplane, we passed Avis rental car and saw a long line, so we went to get our baggage. It didn't concern me because I felt by the time we got our bags that the line would go down. Once we got our bags, we went back and got in the Avis line.
I remembered the couple at the window because the guy was wearing a Metallica T-shirt. When we came back with our bags, that same couple was still at the counter!!
There was only one representative handling the rentals. The other rental companies had two.
I ended up waiting in line for over two hours!! At 1:50, there were 7 people ahead of me, and I saw the same number at the other rental companies. After 20 minutes, there were nine people ahead of me, and the people had cleared at the other companies.
After discussing the situation with other people in line, they had all booked online, prepaid, and checked in on the website. Even so, it took a very long time to process the people in front of me.
Finally, at 4 p.m., another agent showed up. This person did not apologize and had an attitude. Plus, she had been there when we first arrived and left for over two hours.
This was not a good experience, and it makes me never want to rent from AVIS again. read more
