They tried to say I did not drop off my keys until 2 days later. It's suppose to be return 17th, but they said it magically appeared in their drop door slot on the 19th. After they saw my flight travels show I flew out on the 17th. Then she ( Mary ) said your contract shows 14-19th. When I ask her to send me the contract ? Because I save the yellow copy portion of my contract that shows 14-17th then she again changes the story to say well actually someone called in to extend? Really? I fly out on the 17th and someone called in to extend and the keys magically appear in the drop box on the 19th? Something really fishy - scammy with this place. I agree 100% with they other guys review. It's absolutely the worst in ive seen. Once I said I'm done explaining and told her I'm going to call corporate directly to get this resolve as she did not want to listen and kept telling me nonsense untrue stories. 5 minutes later I get a voicemail saying issue resolve and a new receipt with correct dates and amounts was sent to my email. 1 hour wasted on this horrible rental location.     STX is consistently the worst Hertz location I have experienced but today was especially terrible!…read more Hertz at STX has a lot next to the terminal where rentals get picked up. They expect you to turn in the car at a remote lot a 1/2 mile away if you are turning in after 7am. They check the car in and then drive you in it back the the terminal. I got to the remote lot about 7:45am and the gate was open but nobody was there. I waited about five minutes for somebody to come out. Nobody did. I went to the office. The door was locked. I knocked and nobody answered. So, I drove the car back to the lot next to the terminal and attempted to turn it back in at the counter. The lady said "you have to turn it in at the remote lot." I said I tried but nobody was there. She called and after a lot of rings somebody answered. She said, "he's there waiting for you. He will check the car in then drive you and your luggage back to the terminal." I was extremely annoyed. So, I drove back to the remote lot. Someone finally came out, made sure the tank was full, and told me I had to take the contract back to the rental counter to get my receipt. AND, I had to walk back dragging my luggage because he was the only person at the remote lot so he could not drive me. After dragging my bags a 1/2 mile back to the terminal, I told the lady at the counter "I cannot believe you made me drive the car to the remote lot and the walk back here with my luggage." She just gave me the receipt and said "have a nice flight." My next rental at STX will be with Avis

I had reserved a rental vehicle months in advance, fully aware that cars in St. Croix must be booked ahead of time. On December 30, we traveled from Las Vegas to Charlotte, NC, and then onward to St. Croix. While in Charlotte, we were notified of a flight delay. I immediately contacted Olympic Rent-a-Car to inform them of the delay and was explicitly assured that our reservation would remain valid for up to 24 hours. I was also given a phone number to call for shuttle pickup upon arrival. When we arrived at the St. Croix airport later that evening, I immediately attempted to contact Olympic Rent-a-Car to arrange shuttle pickup. Every call went directly to voicemail. The recorded messages referenced "Mike" for roadside assistance and a towing company. I called both numbers in an attempt to reach anyone associated with your company or to determine whether there had been a miscommunication. I also left multiple voicemail messages, none of which were returned. As it was getting very late, and with no response from Olympic Rent-a-Car, my family and I were left stranded at the airport. We were forced to take a taxi at our own expense ($80) just to reach our cottage. By the time we arrived, all restaurants were closed, and we had no food, as we had planned to stop for essentials on the way--something we could not do without the rental car. Olympic Rent-a-Car left us without transportation, without food, and without any assistance. The following morning, I contacted your office and spoke with a woman who informed me that our reservation had been canceled. She could not explain who canceled it, when it was canceled, or why it was canceled. She further stated that even if it had not been canceled, there was no vehicle available to rent. Her attitude showed no concern for the situation or the hardship caused to my family. I was told that the owner, Sol, was out of the country, and that the manager, Darrian Knight, would contact me. To date, I have received no return call or explanation. Based on the circumstances, it appears that our reserved vehicle may have been rented to another party at a higher rate, despite our confirmed reservation and prior communication regarding the flight delay. If this is the case, it is completely unacceptable and unethical. This experience caused significant stress, inconvenience, and unexpected expenses at the very start of our vacation. I am requesting: A full explanation of how and why our confirmed reservation was canceled Reimbursement for the taxi fare incurred due to being abandoned at the airport Appropriate compensation for the disruption and hardship caused

ANYTHING, beyond what the car comes with at the time of rental, that is left in the car will cost you on the return of the vehicle. The attached pictures contain what Olympic deemed "Excessive Sand" in the car. When asked, they told me that they wouldn't let me take the car across the street to the car wash and it out vacuum it out because they said I had already returned it. Even though all my luggage was still in the car?? They just wanted the exta $150. Thank goodness my credit card company (Chase), saw the pics and agreed that they had attempted to scam me. They did me right and got my money back from these thieves. RUN AWAY!!!

Economy Bookings has an App, sent me the voucher I needed to show Ace. When we called to be picked up, we were told there is no car. And there won't be a car until after the weekend. Today is March 3rd and silence. I have contacted my CC company and indicated that Ace and Economy bookings are in breach of contract. Even though my charge is almost 6 months old I am confident they will be charged back the entire amount and I will be refunded. My advice, stay away, never prepay that far in advance. They lied and were rude at Ace. Do Not rent from Ace. I also question Economy Bookings. I'm sure I'll never use them again. Paul I out one star rating but it's really a zero

Ace Car Rental has a habit of accepting reservations and then canceling the reservations without notice. This happened to us on 1/31/2026. We had booked a reservation three months in advance. Upon arrival to the airport, we were told that ACE did not have a reservation in our name. This was despite the fact that we had a reservation confirmation and had paid for the vehicle in full. I wish I had read these reviews before making a reservation with ACE Rent a Car. I can guarantee I will never use this company again.
