The people who work here are rude! This place doesn't deserve even one star, but you know how this site works!
My son left his hockey sticks in the back of our rental SUV. The following day, he called and spoke with Frank, who told him the sticks were there, but that they wouldn't mail them to him.
I called two days later, spoke with another guy (didn't get his name) who said he works in the list and found, and they do mail lost & found items, however said the sticks were NOT there. I told him about my son talking to someone a couple days earlier who said the sticks WERE there, but again, the guy I was talking to said they were not. He also told me that they had another bag of hockey sticks the week before, but they had already been mailed out.
This morning, I decided to call again, thinking I would talk to someone else, but before I called the LGA location, I called Customer Service, and asked if they mail lost & found items, and they said ABSOLUTELY THEY DO! So, I called the LGA location back, and Frank answered. He said they do have the sticks, and I asked him if they would ship them to me. He said they don't do that. I told him they do, and that I was told by both customer service and another employee at the location they do, and he asked me how they did that. I started to talk, and he cut me off. I tried to interject, but he wouldn't stop raising his voice to me, so I asked him if he would shut up so I could talk, and he hung up on me. HUNG UP ON ME!
I called right back, and the phone rang for almost two whole minutes before a guy named Sultan answered. I told him his co-worker hung up on me, and he replied "there is no one else here with me". I told him I was speaking to Frank - the guy with the accent, and Sultan said, "oh, he's in the other building." I explained my situation to Sultan, who them put me on hold forever until Sharis picked up the phone. I said I was talking to Sultan about some hockey sticks, and he says "Sultan can't help you, what do you need?" For the third time, I explained my situation, and then Sharis told me that they have my sticks, but they couldn't mail them because they couldn't fit them in a box. I said they didn't need to be put into a box, that they just needed to slap a shipping label on them, and the mail or parcel service would take them. Sharis said they couldn't do that - even though they had apparently shipped out another bag of hockey sticks the previous week. I told him that it shouldn't matter what I was having shipped, and he told me it wasn't his problem. Well, Sharis, it's going to be your problem!
Of course, the location manager, who I was told her name was Joy, is out of the office until Monday, so I called Customer Service back and spoke to a manager, Daniel, who was very nice, and who filed a formal complaint on my behalf, as well as a lost and found report, and assured me I would have my son's hockey sticks by next week.
Hopefully Daniel pulled through for me. Needless to say, I won't be renting from Avis again after being treated so rudely by its representatives. read more
