I just moved to the US from abroad and I went to Avis Ford because they were closest to me. I went in wanting to make a decision between the different models of the 2014 Fiesta. My salesperson was Jerry Flint. I told him about my situation as someone new to the country, with a foreign passport and no credit history. He asked me to submit my documents to check if I would be eligible for financing. After a few days he got back to me to say that I was approved for either a 24 month lease or a purchase. But Jerry seemed to know nothing about the models I was interested and fed me with misinformation. He showed me a 2013 model telling me it was a 2014 Fiesta S and that what were actually the 2014 S & SE models (which were what I was interested in), according to him, was the 2014 Fiesta ST Titanium (which was beyond my budget). While he was completely ignorant about the models, he was extremely nice and went out of his way to help me by offering to pick me up and drop me from my house (since I didn't have a car), so I decided to do my own research about the cars and stick with him for my purchase. My biggest shock, however, was still to come. After I had decided on what model I wanted I finalized my insurance and came in to make my down payment and take home the car. After being promised by Jerry that he will pick me up from my house at 9 am on his way to the showroom and after leaving a voicemail at 8 am to confirm that I was ready for him to pick me up, I didn't hear from him till I called him at 10 am wondering what had happened. He simply said that he had a meeting and would pick me up shortly. I waited till 11 am and called again only to be told by him again that he'll pick me up shortly. I waited till 12:30 and then just decided to walk down to the dealership. When I got there 45 minutes later, I was made to wait for over an hour. After that I was told all the paperwork was ready and I just needed to sign and pay. As I was walking to Jerry's desk from the waiting room he suddenly told me that I was not eligible for financing because I had a foreign driving license (even though I am allowed to drive in Michigan with my driving license). This was after I had told him about my situation as soon as I met him two weeks earlier and had been told by him that I had been approved for financing. I am now planning to get a Fiat 500 and apply for financing from a credit union (which will not require me to have a US driving license) or go to a different dealership after getting a Michigan license. But I ended up wasting two weeks because of this debacle and now need to make a rushed purchase because I need a car for work. read more

I just leased my 3rd Ford Escape, and my husband just made his second purchase of a Ford Edge, our sales per Lou is awesome. He was very patience with me as I tried to decide what color SUV I wanted. I had him try to locate a specific color which he did, however I was to impatience to wait for it to be deliver, so when my husband and I showed up to test drive his Edge, I said ok, I will take the red one on the floor, without any hesitation he said are you sure and within a couple of hours I drove off with my red Escape and my husband drove off with his blue Edge, this was on a Saturday and the dealership closes at 3 pm, no one was rude or said can you just do this Monday. Now you may say well it is his job and he is making a commission, but I say in this world if you want to make your commission off me and my hubby you MUST have excellent people skills, a sense of humor and a great deal of patience's. I have also observed Lou work with other customers and he is still the same patience and professional person. So if you do not like your current sale person see Lou. FYI Lou was not our first sales person at Avis he was our second. My husband purchased his first Ford Escape in 2001 from another sales person whose name I will not mention, I declined to buy anything from this person as he was rude and obnoxious (my hubby is a little more laid back than I am). So in 2011, when my husband decided to trade in his Escape and purchase an Edge we met Lou, but it was explained that we were supposed to deal with our original sales person. Well me being the person I am said "I don't think so" and from that day on Lou has been our sales person. Lou was also very instrumental in making sure that we received all the incentives that he could provide to us. Additionally, we have never had a problem with the service department. I would give 10 stars, but 5 stars is all that is offered. read more

Dealt with Chuck Champ at Avis Ford, after having the door slammed in our faces at numerous other dealerships that "claimed" they could get my wife and I financed..but couldn't, or wanted to finance us at 20% interest with an outrageous monthly payment. I decided to call Avis. We went in assuming either we would be financing a pre owned vehicle, or face another rejection. Chuck was able to get us approved within a day on a brand new 2012 Escape with a far better payment at 4% interest. When all others couldn't get it done Chuck and Avis Ford did! At no time was there any pressure, and we were not made to feel as credit criminals. Chuck not only put us on the road with a great vehicle and program, but also got us on the road to restoring our credit and getting our lives back. Before you try ANY other dealership CALL AVIS FIRST!! You may not come out with a brand new 2012 or current model such as we did, everyone's credit background is different, but call Chuck and his team first, you will not be sorry and it will not be a mistake! I had a lease vehicle to turn in. I was told by the dealer I got the car from that I could return it to any Ford dealership. I had done the pre turn in evaluation and was ready to turn the car over. I did not buy a new Ford, and was picking up my new car on Telegraph. For convenience we went to the nearby Avis Ford and was told no one had time to take the lease back and we needed an appointment. We then called Blackwell Ford and they told us they didn't have room on their lot to take the car. We called Holzer and the manager said he would happily help us and take the car. We drove to Holzer and it took 5 minutes for them to have us sign 2 papers and take the plate off the car and we were in our way. The salesperson at Holzer said some dealerships are more interested in commissions and won't go out of their way to help (do their job). We will buy our next Ford at Holzer for the excellent customer service! read more

Avis ford is a great dealership to deal with. My wife and I have purchased 3 new ford's from avis and all from jeremy z. Over the last 4 years we have purchased 2 Taurus SHO'S and just last week we took delivery of a new ford fusion, all with the help of JZ. He's a great salesperson to deal with. He always kept us informed on the delivery date of our car. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to make the deal. He's not the kind of salesperson that walks away after the sale. He becomes your friend and keeps in touch after the sale to make sure your happy. He even produces Youtube videos to teach you how to get the most out of your car and when your car get dirty, just stop by, say hello to JZ & he will run the car thru the wash rack for you. He got me a great deal on a 2018 F150 XL , only issue was the color blue. I already have a blue truck. Mr. Liddell was able to put me in a better truck with all the bells and whistles, with a truck payment of under $260.00... I am totally satisfied with my experience at Avis Ford, especially considering most of my colleagues that have trucks are paying more than $400.00 a month. I want to thank all of the wonderful people at Avis Ford for being so kind and concerned for a very difficult situation regarding my previous auto. I had a 2014 Fusion which caught fire as I was driving home. I was not far from Avis, and was able to get there soon after the car begin smoking. After I got the car parked and went in to see Stan, a gentleman came and told Stan that the car was on fire. The fire department came and extinguished the fire. Love my new Fusion Sport! Lou Marchesi was awesome, professional and committed to helping me have a great, informed buying experience. He pointed out all the car and pricing options and took a lot of time showing me cars and features and explaining everything. I'm definitely seeing Lou for my next Ford. Bought my 2011 Focus at Avis and Lou was very helpful on my needs/budget. Due to the grand kids and a bigger dog-the Focus became a bit too small.( Poor dog had to sit upfront and the kids knee's were hitting my back.) I went back to Avis and talked to Lou. What I liked about him, was being down to earth and knowing his customers needs. He took the time/extra mile to answer my questions. No pressure on trying to sell what I don't need but did tell me all the options. The bottom line-there comes a time when we need another car. I am happy to say that my 1st experience was positive. My name is Deborah Mitchem, Mr. Stan Goldsberry is and was my salesman, the first car I leased was a 2014 Focus SE that was in 2013, I was so surprised that I was getting a 2014, I really wasn't expecting that, now Stan just got me into a 2015 Fusion SE with everything on it that I asked for I couldn't be happier. When I tell you Stan went all out that's exactly what I mean, he called the bank, called my insurance, kept me in the loop about everything. I was disappointed. My Flex was making a rubbing noise when I turn right and after having it half a day they could not diagnose it. I went over they are rode with the specialist that diagnoses these noises and what was clearly audible to me, a 49 year old man who's hearing isn't what it used to be, the specialist could not even hear. Bull Shit! Doubt I'll go back even for an oil change which is a shame because I plan to have this car for many years and I work within walking distance of Avis Ford. Of course they charged me a ton of money for this diagnosis that they couldn't even hear and recommended several thousand dollars worth of work. read more

I've been driving for 35 years and been to a variety of dealerships. I had always felt pressured and almost dirty afterwards. I've only been to Avis twice now - once for my husband's new car almost two years ago and once for mine just a week ago - and both have been great experiences. Knowledgeable and nice staff with no heavy pressure to buy....and I love my new Fusion! The 2.0L EcoBoost engine with AWD is so smooth. Purchased my new 2016 Fusion Titantium from Lou Marchesi just last week, and couldn' be happier with the experience. He kept track of my ordered Fusion as it went through it's build and delivery cycle and let me know where it was at all times. When the car was delivered, the paperwork processing was very easy.
