I wish I would have read these reviews. Car was not cleaned before we received it. I contacted the manager and was told that they were disappointed that it happened. My husband spent 45 minutes cleaning it which delayed our trip. I will not rent from them again nor Budget since they are connected.

Dented car she tried to let me leave with and sign off on as if it was fine and be responsible for the damage REALLY..

Worst location to rent a vehicle from coming from a Avis 1st (Avis Preferred) member for several years. In the past a guy name Carter owned (or managed I don't know) this location and his customer service was really great. He was very people oriented and helpful when it came to renting cars and accommodating in terms of the car type preferred. HOWEVER NOW this place SUCKS. I rented a car (small SUV) this weekend and upon entering this place which is located through the Sears auto center I was immediately annoyed because there was no one at the counter but I took a deep breathe and thought that maybe the person could be in that restroom (always give hr benefit of a doubt). I waited along with my children for about 5 minutes and the young lady walked in with a guy and just looked me up and down and went behind the counter to finish up with the guy which is okay with me he was there with her before I came. I stood behind him to wait in line and once she finished up with him I stepped up only to be presented with a blank stare as I smiled. I mentioned I was here to pick up my reserve vehicle and per protocol and asked for my DL. She gave me a contract and ask me to sign on all the lines I read and said how am I sign I g something to agree to pay for cleaning of stains in a vehicle I haven't seen or inspected. She said Ok I'll show you in a minute can you have a seat. HuH I was here first why am I taking a seat for her to take care of the people who came after me? Needless to say I step to the waiting area in view and listening distance from the counter and stood. She checked back in the cars for the two people who were behind me before heading outside and coming back in telling me she checked the vehicle and it's good. I replied okay so I'll take the keys to inspect before signing as I stated. She gave me the keys and immediately as I approached I noticed a dent in the car with paint chipped and upon opening the door I saw stains in that seats so I kindly went back in to inform her and she came out and wrote it up. MY QUESTION: Why did you go out to check the car and come back to say it's perfectly fine when it wasn't? Hmmm Makes me feel that they are trying to get someone to be held responsible for the crappy cars they have and I'm honestly NOT THE ONE. I'm sure they try often and may succeed but not this here woman you can not fool.

Stained seats. Low Fluid warning. Not vacuumed between rentals. These pictures were sent to corporate and no ownership of issue.

I was told I could get a Mitsubishi, a hybrid, and another SUV. Of course, I chose the hybrid. After making the choice, I was told the price would increase by over $100. I then declined. As the young man went around the car, he asked for a copy of my insurance card. That request immediately triggered memories of a similar encounter at a different Enterprise. I declined to provide my insurance policy because that is not a requirement for renting a vehicle. I was then told that because I had declined to provide that information and the added coverage, I would be responsible for any damages. The whole thing felt very much like the previous situation at another Enterprise. As the young man opened the door to notate the gas, a strong smell of urine hit me. I asked why the car smelled. I was told "all Mitsubishi smells like that). The woman who checked me said the same thing when I called her over to help me with the application that would not work. The young man said it was Mitsubishi leather that smelled like new car. The chairs were not leather. The car was a 2026 Mitsubishi with 4,000 miles. The woman offered to get some febreze and spray. I declined. I had to fill up the tank. I drive with the windows down. When I got home, I left the windows down to air out the car. Upon returning the vehicle, the same young man took the keys and went to inspect the vehicle. Immediately he pointed out an area at the front popped out. I pulled out my video footages and started to examine them. I was questioned as to how I parked the car. Did I park it facing in or out? The car did have an area popped out, but there was no scratch marks or dents, or indentations to show that someone may have hit the car. The young man would say, ooh, I think we have to file a claim. After about 10 minutes, he decided no claim was needed as there was no sign of the car being hit, dented, or scratched. As a result of the bad smell, I was given a card with the assistant manager name and phone number for a free day and an upgrade. I would say, beware when renting a car at this location. If you must, push into certain areas to see if anything pops out. Do a thorough video while at the office. Take pictures too.

It felt like it could be complicated finding parking and navigating traffic, but it really wasn't. The entrance to the office is by Sears and the rental office is just inside the mall entrance. It was a clean and courteous office staff. The visit - - - Dropping off my vehicle was a much better experience than picking up. But it wasn't completely smooth. Something had happened on the pick up end that made it complicated to check in. As a result, I'll have to watch my bank account and make sure I'm not overcharged. That's a bummer. Also, the car I drive was not cleaned out before I drove it. This is the first rental car company I've driven in a long time that didn't have a superbly nice car. Not the drop offs fault, but still some thing to note.

When my parents picked up the car, no one showed them around the car to go over its features or mark down existing dings and scratches so they do not become liable for something they didn't do. The car was driven off the lot with a quarter tank of gas (so that's what we will be returning it with!) At this point we were willing to deal with the problems we've already encountered because we were leaving for vacation less than 12 hours from receiving the rental car. When we loaded the car the next morning, everyone said the car smelled like smoke and it was extremely dirty. The windows were not washed, there was soda in the cup holders and in between the seats that was never cleaned from previous use, and the floor mats were not vacuumed. At this point, we had no option but to drive it to Destin, but we all cleaned it ourselves before leaving. As we were driving to Destin, my husband opened the glove box and it fell apart immediately. We were unable to put it back together without tools that's we of course didn't have. In addition, after about 5 hours in the car, we decided to turn on the windshield wiper fluid to get rid of some of the bugs from the window. Well, there was none! After about 6-7 hours in the car, an alert came up on the dash telling us that the vehicle had 2% oil life remaining. At this point, we were hoping we'd at least make it to Destin. We made it to Destin and about half way through the week, the oil percentage dropped to 0. We called Budget to tell them all the problems we encountered and they did absolutely nothing. My mother was on the phone with them for 3 hours on the last day of our vacation getting transferred from department to department because apparently what we were dealing with was no one's problem. At the end of the 3 hour phone call, they finally told us that after 2 PM we could call a specific number and someone would come swap out the vehicle for us with another Suburban. We call around 3:30 PM and the lady we spoke to tells us that we have to pay a 600 dollar towing fee for them to come swap out the vehicle for something that is their problem. Needless to say, we were not paying that and no other options besides doing our own oil change was given. So, a quart of oil will be put into the vehicle and we're hoping to make it back 10 hours to Charlotte, NC. NEVER rent a car from this company. EVER.

Now i'm being told because I personally did not call back about keeping the car but my insurance extended the car that i'm being charged for the daily rate that I WAS TOLD WAS COVERED BY INSURANCE. After speaking with the man that rented the car to me and saying that this was something I agreed to when I ASKED IS THIS COVERED BY INSURANCE and he said YES. I'm being refused to have my card returned and when asked to speak to a manager was told the manager would tell me the same thing. Now i've been put on hold until someone answers for 20 plus minutes. This enterprise is completely unprofessional, they lied, and is not "standard care, promise to put you first. " You're just trying to make a sale to someone that is already dealing with a huge inconvenience that now you've just put more strain on. Completely disappointment and will be reaching out to corporate. Thanks for keeping me on hold so I just wait and no one has to deal with my problem. This is sickening to put a $1,000 charge on someone's card.
