I had called ahead and ordered my tires and got a quote for them. I live in Port Townsend so driving to Port Angeles is always a bit of a hassle but the price that they were offering for the tires seemed like a good deal to me. I arrived and was told that unfortunately the person who had taken the order over the phone had ordered the wrong tires. They tried to find out if there were any tires in the area that they could use to replace the ones that I ordered, but they could not so I had to leave my car until the correct tires arrived. To complicate matters, I was having shoulder surgery in two days so I needed to have a car to get me to Silverdale. The service manager., Steve, not only got me a car to use to drive home, but also told me that he would bring my car back to Port Townsend and pick up the rental car. It took three days for the tires to be installed, and my car returned to me, but I can't be more pleased with the service that I received. Not only that, the price that was quoted for me was lower than the actual price, but they stayed with the quoted price and did not charge me more. This service goes beyond what one would expect and I am extremely impressed and wanted to let everyone know that Wilder Toyota is a very, very reputable and personable company.

Today while driving my Mother home from a Dr. visit, I was on 8th when I was run off the road. After early causing an multi-car collision crossing the East bound lane then I was forced off the road into the bike lane in the west bound direction. It was so beyond safe I came home an ordered a dash cam. My Mother was very shaken. If your profession is driving one would expect the utmost caution not Days of Thunder antics in residential areas.

We showed up early, but the vehicle deck appeared far from full when we sailed, so not sure if reservation was truly necessary. The ride itself was smooth and comfortable, taking about 1.5 hours. There are restrooms, cafeteria, coffee bar and gift shop and WiFi onboard.

The schedule does change depending on the time of year. We made reservations for a 5 PM sailing with our vehicle. We changed our mind and took an earlier sailing at 12:45PM. We were told that we needed to show up at 9:30 to reserve our spot. The waiting area had clean bathrooms. It was nice that they had an exhibit on the history of the Black Ball Ferry in the waiting area. They don't allow you to sit in your vehicle while they are sailing to Victoria. Everyone must go up on deck and sit in the passenger section. The seats are clean and comfortable. They had an adequate amount of restrooms. There is a nice restaurant and gift shop on board. The gift shop has all kinds of souvenirs. It is a 90 minute ride to Victoria. The ride was a tad rough in some spots, but, other it was smooth sailing. It is a nice ride with beautiful scenery.

That is, in order to get to the bathroom, outside, laundry machine, you will have people walking through your "room". I've stayed in shitty hostels. But for the most part, they all had walls. And do you like to have internet in your hostel? Great, sit by the window and hope to catch a stray bit of bandwidth from the owners' house. Truth is, the place is pretty comfortable and it's a lot cheaper than staying a hotel. It just seems to suffer from a bad case of only-game-in-town.
