After a less than stellar experience with Enterprise at the same mall a few weeks earlier, our experience at Avis was really refreshing. We did not have an appointment but we were waited on promptly and we were in a clean vehicle with 10 minutes. The rates were comparable and the service was definitely worthy of 5 stars. read more

This Avis is under new management and I think they are doing a great job. I rent from this location frequently and I've always had a good experience. They always ask me which car I would prefer from the ones available, it's always clean, and they have taken great care of me. I would recommend this car rental before the others in town. read more

The man who owns this Avis, is extremely unprofessional and rude. I got confused about my reservation, because my confirmation listed the airport as well as the gateway mall, and my Avis app navigated me to the airport location. He was so snotty and condescending, I was shocked. I cannot believe he's the actual owner of the business! I was nothing but kind, and polite. He had no reason to talk to me like I was an inconvenience. I am not one to leave negative reviews, I hate to do that! But this guy was over the top. read more

I use these folks about every 4-6 weeks and have been for some time now. They are hard working and I have not had any issues with them. The cars are clean, well maintained and the rental fast and easy. Due to MY mistake I missed the pickup time of my car by quite abit and the owner of the franchise took care of me with no issues. read more

Our trip through Prescott had to be changed, and we were not too sure how to go about it. The office at the Prescott Mall is tough to find, as it's inside the mall itself. Once we found it, there was only one person working. We needed to add days and change the turn in place. Andrea was great, and went above and beyond to help us on our trip. A true gem. read more

Avis' website rented us a car at the closing time for the local Avis. We did not catch this error. We arrived late -- something we could have avoided if we'd received any notice from Avis or the local Avis of the potential problem. We could not pick up the car. We called Avis Customer Service the next morning and received an adjustment of one day and a discount for our trouble. When one of us went to pick up the car, John (based on the receipt) refused to rent the car, even after our offer to pay the original price. John's treatment (angry, rude, aggressive) was so disproportionate to the issue, we were concerned for him. I contacted someone at the airport, where there also is a franchise, and asked a worker to apologize to John, saying that we had called Avis Customer Service, because we believed the problem originated at the Avis website. (A call from the local Avis when we did not show up at closing also would have helped the situation.) The worker called me back, saying that John was following policy in not renting us a car. Avis Customer Service had said we could pick up the car; one person saying we had 15 hours and another saying we had 24 hours. However, Avis Customer Service would not intervene with the local Avis. The result was two stranded 70+ year-olds on a vacation without a car. We used Lyft and spent a chunk of vacation trying to find an alternative. read more

I have rented cars from this Avis for years, never again. When I called today to make a reservation the guy that answered could not have been a bigger ass. He started yelling about that I can't keep calling and that he had customers at the counter. I had called a few hours earlier, they did not answer. Apparently you can only call once. read more

Horrible customer service. Not from the customer service worker at this location but with the company Avis. Rude, took my money from my account, then upon picking up because I used a DEBIT CARD And not a CREDIT CARD, they were unable to proceed with the transaction thus making us cancel our reservation, and then still charging me the fee for cancellation. "Because it's my fault, I should have known". It's okay, took my business to Enterprise and was upgraded to a luxury vehicle FOR FREE. NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!!! read more

"Randall" at service counter was very helpful! With no prior reservation, we were in and out quickly, driving a little Ford Fiesta that had an odometer reading of 1000. Atmosphere was much calmer and cleaner than the Enterprise we originally tried for our last minute vacation day trip. read more

I have always had such amazing service with the people is the store. They are always so helpful with finding the best deal and car for my family. However the company recently charged me $250 for a car I didn't rent and that the car was "smelly and had dog hair" neither of which were true. Place sucks. Guy working behind the counter bitched about having to help me out. Could not be bothered to call the customer service hotline regarding my car rental. Car rental was paid for and the other end refused to get me a car or refund me the money. So screw this outfit. Go to Enterprise. read more

Asked them over the phone if they take a debit card as payment they said yes but failed to inform us on a credit check along with that payment so we were denied a rental. Wasted valuable time dealing with the guy behind the counter. Never going to use or recommend to anyone EVER!!! read more
