We had to rent something while waiting for our house to close and came upon these. The entrance was unsafe with rotting wood, unstable stairs and porch. The condo itself was horrible, smelled dirty, kitchen was equipped with the worst things imaginable - pots, pans, dishes and utensils that belonged in the trash. disgusting furniture that they got at goodwill, bedding that was thin and smelled. We paid over $3500 for 6 weeks. Run away from this site. read more

TLDR: unprofessional couple owns this business, knows nothing about renting out cabins, unresponsive in times of need. Host will make false accusations about you to justify her own lack of ability to run a business. I stayed at a cabin via Airbnb through Wendy Temple (one of the supposed owners of this business). She seemed nice at first but obviously did not know how to deal with how to run a cabin rental business. Her cabin ran out of water the second day when we tried to take body showers. Her listing says it can fit up to 12 people and we only have 7 in our group. She did NOT notify me beforehand that the cabin had low reservoirs or that it wouldn't support even basic body showers. None of us used showers the first day either as we arrived late and only had time to eat dinner and go to bed shortly after. Contacted Airbnb because I had no choice after she didn't respond about losing running water at 8:30pm. I gave her until 10:30pm before I contacted Airbnb. Having running water is an essential to every rental I think every guest and host would agree. Her hot tub also failed all the test strips making it unsafe for use. I asked her how to fix that before any of us could use it and she also never responded to me about that BUT in her review she was quite quick to claim that I "managed to ruin the hot tub". Because she was so mad that Airbnb forced her to refund me a partial amount of money, she also unprofessionally wrote a very immature and emotionally charged review for me as a guest on the platform. My review was professional and only stated facts. I also have video evidence of the tap not working even to wash a couple of dishes. There is probably a reason why every review on here is bad and this business remains unclaimed on Yelp. DO NOT rent through them if you have the choice. If you're still curious about the whole story and thinking about renting with this couple's company, I'm happy to provide receipts of my interaction with her. It's not worth working with them. Nice properties but very badly run which ruins the whole experience. As you see from the other reviews on here, the communication from the management company is awful and you will get blamed for things that were already wrong when you got there. The cabin we stayed at dried out of running water. This was after my group just tried taking showers for the first time. We didn't have any working water (tap, shower, toilets) for the rest of the two days of our stay - and the management company didn't do anything to help us when we asked. There were little signs about being careful about flushing the toilet, but we didn't expect there to not be enough water for 5 people to even take one shower (mind you the property is supposed to accommodate 12). There was a hot tub on the property that we did a PH and bromine test for before we used - which it failed. We asked the management for how to fix it but once again they didn't help at all. Then when we left they blamed us for 'breaking' their hot tub even if we tried to communicate with them about the issue before even using it. They are unprofessional and clearly don't understand what hosting means. I would recommend staying elsewhere if you are going to spend the money. read more

I was excited for this cabin rental that I found on Vrbo. When I got the contract from the rental company to sign, it seemed a bit strict but I figured oh well. After I sign the contract I got a litany of rules like I have never seen before. One of them and that stuck out to me was that they would be doing an unannounced check in's. I do not know about you, but that is not a way that I wanna spend my vacation, to be being checked up on. I decided to read the other reviews and found out that this wasn't the place for me. When I booked the cabin it said I had until 9/16 to get a 100% refund if I cancelled before. I cancelled on 8/25. They gave me 75%. read more

We haven't stayed there yet, but the bombardment of rules and regulations are a little extreme. I understand the necessity of informing guests about the company's expectations ... though each message I have received contained an abundance of don't do this and don't do that. It takes about 20 minutes to read through all of their rules. They have sent them several times. You may not see the similarity... $5 milkshake? That better be a pretty darn good milk shake... This past week I had stayed at a place called Squirrel's Run.  First they have a really strict policy on just about everything.  Email after email of rules and regulations.  They expect this and that.. I can understand basic rules and regulations... just seems like this company has been on the receiving end of some raw deals.  This does not make it very enjoyable for the ones about to rent.  Two things that stood out to me the most were clean up after your pets and kids as they can make a mess.  Appears we would be charged extra if we did not clean any hand prints off the windows.  The Windows were filthy. The rules say that they can kick us out immediately if there are any complaints about us during our stay...  what about the 3 dogs that are constantly barking in that area? When I arrived, the place was dirtier than dirty.  I have many photos and videos just to cover myself in the event someone wants to charge me extra for cleaning.  I also have videos and photos at the time we were leaving. The fridge had hair in it, dust all over the top of the fridge along with dead bugs... dead bugs along the walls in every room... torn bug screens, dirty floors and toilets, etc.  The sheets did not appear to have been changed for a while as there was hair and dust bunnies under the comforter when I removed it in order to lay my son down to sleep.  You know sheets haven't been changed when they smell like drool. There was garbage around the property like straws from soda cups, bottle caps, candy wrappers, etc... There was no AC I discovered.  After I asked whomever it was that I was corresponding with if there was something I needed to do in order to make the AC come one, I was told there is none and to open the windows during the night and close them during the day.  Are you kidding me?  The screens are torn and almost all of them do not seal to the windows.  There were cobwebs all over the ceilings and the decorations.  Dust which had been there for months.  There was plenty of damage to the place so take pictures before you even bring in your luggage. I have pictures...  I left that place a million times better than it was when I arrived.  They should have paid me for staying there.   It was an absolute waste of almost $500 which I will never do again.  If Prescott Rentals does not correct the issue with Squirrel's Run, inspect the property, take it off of their website or something similar to that nature, I will never rent a cabin in Prescott through them again and will simply stay at the Holiday Inn.  That hotel is gross, but at least the Holiday Inn looks like they try and clean it.  Squirrel's Run was gross and not worth the bombardment of rules and regulations. With that type of bombardment, I was expecting something spectacular, like this place was going to blow my mind!  It did blow my mind.. though only in how gross it was. read more

We've used Prescott Cabin Rentals numerous times (maybe 6 now) and have always been very happy. This last time we stayed in the Serendipity Cottage. It is charm upon charm with every amenity. We didn't bring our son or dog but it would have accommodated just fine. The claw foot tub is fabulous and the location was perfect. It allowed us to walk and learn about the Prescott (courthouse square) area. I would definitely and happily return! P.S. good breakfast places that are a stones throw away - Berry's Pie Pantry and Waffle Iron. I'm not sure why the other reviewers had negative experiences but I can add that one time I lost my keys in the snow outside our Cabin. They called the owners ( who lived across the street) who provided us all sorts of assistance. I will rent again and have no hesitation about referring. Enjoy! read more

BEAUTIFUL cabin in the mountains at a reasonable price. HORRIFIC management company with APPAULING "customer service". Read on if you dare... My wife made arrangements on this rental for the first weekend of December, and we stayed there with our family. Everything seemed fine until... waiting nearly a month for the deposit to be returned, only for my wife to receive a text from Wendy saying there are "lots of extra charges", then receiving a breakdown of charges including all things that were not from our group: 1. Upon entering, I immediately noticed games and puzzles in complete disarray. I was surprised by it, but thought maybe it was just a bin of collective leftovers from guests staying there previously. Had they been in an organized fashion (like most of the puzzles and few "adult" games on the bookshelf), I would have put the bin away, as I know what children having access to that would have resulted in. Because there was no way to make them any worse than they already were, we did allow the kids to play with them, and admittedly did not put them away with pieces in the correct boxes, etc. As for the 2 puzzle pieces and game piece found under the couch (as pictured), my apologies for missing that. 2. The second day out there was a beautiful day, and we intended to eat lunch on the deck, so I went to clean it up, get rid of the ice and leaves, etc. I found the push broom (described in settlement email) in the outdoor foyer and assumed it was just disassembled. I tried to put it together and realized that the threaded end of the handle was snapped off inside the broom head. This was broken before we arrived. I know because I used the tiny kitchen broom to sweep the entire deck and stairs personally. 3. The screen door to the outdoor foyer was noticeably not working correctly from the moment we arrived. Sometimes it would slam shut, as if the closer was actually pulling the door, rather than slowing it down; and sometimes it would jam and close so slow that you would have to pull the door shut. By the end of our stay, the hinge on the closer where it connects to the door jamb did come off, and I put it to the side of the doorway, assuming it could be reattached easily. Of these issues listed above, I could understand being charged for the hinge. The other 2 were not caused by our group in any way. At the beginning of our stay, I read through the lengthy instruction manual, and made sure we followed the rules in regards to beds, lights, A/C, trash removal, etc. I even made sure to clean up things that were not specified in the manual, as I just felt like it was the right thing to do (eg: we used the fireplace, and made sure we cleaned out all the ashes/debris, we used the grill, and made sure we left it clean/covered, etc.) I did not see anything in that manual instructing us to inform management of issues upon arrival; and because there were more than a few, I just chalked it up to normal wear and tear of a cabin rental. That being said, and after receiving the settlement breakdown, Here is the summary of what was wrong: *Hodge-podge games/puzzles, as mentioned above. *Broken push broom, as mentioned above. *Screen door closer in disrepair, as mentioned above. *Floors under couches were covered in dust-bunnies and debris upon arrival. *Multiple spiders found hanging out in corners, which made us think the cabin wasn't being cleaned thoroughly. *Broken patio umbrella found in the outdoor foyer (another item discovered when trying to enjoy lunch on the deck). *Grill was disgustingly filthy with chunks of food, char, and grease. I had to detail clean it, just to use. *Filtered water spout at kitchen sink would only pour 1 glass every couple hours. Something wrong with it. *1 of 2 Coffee makers would not brew coffee. It appears the carafe is not the correct one for that maker. With 13 people, being limited to 1 coffee maker was inconvenient. *Ice trays in the freezer were full of gross, dirty water ice. I had to throw it all out and start new ice trays, which meant we didn't have ice for the first day of our stay. Now, obviously none of these issues were detrimental to our stay, but there were more things wrong than I expected to find. I honestly was fine with all of it, because it was a nice cabin at a reasonable price. Until I was informed that we were going to be losing a chunk of our deposit over issues that were there upon our arrival. NONE of this lengthy read even begins to cover the awful phone call with Wendy I had to persevere through just to be told to "send the complaint in an email". And after doing so, it STILL took over another week to receive our PARTIAL security deposit. Unbelievable. Complete scam and awful management. Will NEVER use the company again, and will gladly share the experience with anyone who will listen. read more

We just stayed at the Forest Glen cabin with a large group. I wasn't the one handling the rental so I can't leave review on Air B&B, but I thought it was important to let people know that the amenities they advertise were not available to us. The hot tub was broken, which was something we were really looking for. Fooseball table also broken. No air in the air hockey. Pool table missing balls and cues missing tips. Many dead light bulbs. The location is great and the layout is good. We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with the lack of upkeep. Would not choose this property again. read more

We stayed in the Boulder cabin for our honeymoon and the cabin itself was impeccably clean. The only thing wrong with it was a screen door was off the tracks, and one of the blinds missing. The dishes were beautiful, all appliances worked and again, the cabin was extremely clean, not even a dirty spot on the carpet. I highly recommend the Boulder cabin. The reason I can't give it five stars was the management. Greg and Wendy. The email they sent out specifically stated to call upon arrival and report all damages so that we wouldn't loose our deposit. When I called Greg answered the phone, was very short with me and I was hung up on. The email also specifically stated to call upon check out so again I followed the instructions and this time Wendy answered the phone, she was better but was also very short with me. Overall a good experience but I wish they would put these two through customer service training. They're doing a great job with the property but have terrible people skills. I would stay at the Boulder cabin again. read more

Our whole family (14 of us) rented the Forest Glen cabin the week before Christmas (2019) &, although the cabin itself was very lovely, we were extremely disappointed with the amenities listed. Our 6 grandchildren hoped to spend time playing in the game room, which was listed as having a foosball table, pool table, hockey table, ping pong table & TV. All (& I do mean ALL) of those activity tables were unusable. The foosball table had several broken players, the pool table converted (by flipping whole table over) to the hockey table both of which were unstable & tilted when playing. The ping pong table was 2 halves of particle board, which were broken & paddles with pads which were missing or coming apart. One of the top bunk beds actually collapsed onto the lower bunk & had to be bungie-corded together. Upon informing the owner, he said he'd fix after we were gone. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but it could have been a catastrophic, if not fatal, accident. The 2 TVs downstairs were unusable & upstairs TV had the slowest WiFi ever! The jacuzzi water was scummy & bubbled with dirty bubbles about a foot high: an indication that that the water had not been changed for who-knows-how-long? Two of the windows in the main living room had long cracks & it was unclear as to whether we could or couldn't use real logs in the fireplace due to conflicting signage taped on the fireplace itself. Several pieces of furniture were also broken & propped up, so as to appear fully functional. The outside area is covered in dead tree branches ( a potential fire hazard) & the only walkable area is the road. The owner did stop by after we called about the collapsed bunk bed & reported that snow might hit before we left. If it did, we were advised NOT to talk to the neighbors about helping plow or shovel because they "get mad" if renters ask them for help. Overall, our family made the best of the situation. The guest book had several pages ripped out, which we assumed were the negative reviews, & the positive reviews (mostly about the decor) do not make up for the deceitful claims as to this cabin rental. The mile-long list of rules stated there should be no "smudges" on the windows when we left, so we wiped away any traces of our visit & bid a disappointed goodbye. read more

I am not sure where all of the bad reviews are coming from, whether regarding the properties, or the management, because in both cases, my group wound up having a terrific experience. A group of 19 of us stayed in the Forest Glen Lodge, and we were very happy with the size, location and cleanliness. The house had great porches and location. Our only complaint would be with personal preference of having more flat area behind the house to play ball and other outdoor games where the kids could run around. As for management, they were attentive to my needs every step of the way...When I had questions at any time before we went to the cabin, Wendy and Greg were great about getting back to us. Even while in the cabin, we were having trouble getting hot water. Greg stayed on the phone with me and talked me through it.. after we implemented his advice, we had hot water. If you follow the rules of the cabin, those agreed to contractually, everything is fine. The horrors described in other posts were not our experience at all. I would recommend this company for cabin rentals for any of my friends or family members who may be going to Prescott in the future. read more

No,these are not The Four Seasons type of accommodations, but for a time away from the valley in what felt like a sanctuary we were very satisfied. We look forward to returning as soon as we can. Beautiful views.... However the cabins are not kept up very well. Dirty and didn't seem clean at all. The only cleaning done seems to be done by the guest when checking out. Bathroom ceiling leak that is about to cave in any second. The floors are stained and very dirty in the bedrooms. Dust and dirt come out of them when the kids were playing. Jacuzzi's upstairs seem decently kept up but the one downstairs is very cloudy and has an odd oder. read more

My family stayed in one of these rentals for about a month and a half while transitioning to the Prescott Area. The house we stayed in was fine and served our needs well. It was very clean when we arrived, and appliances & electronics worked well. The problem was the management agency. Multiple times, they were incredibly difficult to get in touch with and when I did get to talk to the manager she was always curt and rude. The entire experience made me feel like my family needed to apologize for taking up space on the planet. Not worth it. read more

Not a pleasant experience at all with this company. As others have stated, the cabin was beautiful. The management was horrific. We came up from Phoenix for a get away between the holidays, looking forward to a private place snuggling by the fire. Well, the fireplace was broken and our privacy was interrupted by management showing up unannounced whenever they pleased. They kept our deposit even though we did the required dishes/cleaning/taking trash out. That's $700 for two nights that we didn't get any privacy and had to clean up ourselves. Absolutely awful. We will not be back and have told all our friends to never go with this company. I would think the cabin owners would be more profitable on their own. read more

We rented a cabin from PCR for a long girl's weekend. The home itself was 5-stars; very clean, well appointed, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed it immensely despite the biggest drawback: the zero-star woman who manages "customer service" at this company. She is unnecessarily brusque. I'd love to rent the same cabin from the owner over and over again, but will never bother as long as she's part of the equation. Rude, rude, rude. If you do go with this company, you had better hope you don't have any questions beyond what's already available on the website. read more

My family stayed at The Ponderosa Cabin for Mother's Day weekend. The cabin itself was very cozy. The lady Wendy did say we wouldn't need anything but our clothes...but it was quite difficult to cook without a spatula. In general, the kitchen was very poorly stocked with utensils and such. The heater had a horrible propane leak, which caused the living room to smell very strong. We had to shut it off and just used the fire place for heat. Other than those couple issues...the cabin was delightful. The hot water was amazing! The view was breath taking! We even had about 6 deer visit us on the property. That was so cool to see such beautiful creatures so up close. Would we return? Not a chance in hell!!!! The lady Wendy who booked our reservation was so short and rude on the phone, I was in shock that she is in the customer service field at all. She did not have one welcoming comment in her 6 page email with nothing but threats, rules, and policies. I was not the least bit shocked when I seen so many other reviews on her poor customer service. There are thousands of cute cabins in the Prescott area. Though I really liked this one and loved the location...I will never give that rude lady my business again. read more

My wife and I stayed at the Casita Indigo Property, which was very secluded, quiet and very cozy. Unfortunately, these positives were spoiled by more than several problems that will prevent us from staying at this specific property again, or in recommending Prescott Cabin Rentals as a whole. 1) The wood frame on the front door window was broken exposing the window panes. The frame was crudely repaired with what appeared to be strips of black plastic tape, which were coming loose from the window; 2) The blinds in the windows were old and beat-up and did not work. They either had to be pulled down by hand or they would not come down at all. Hence the rooms could not be properly darkened for privacy or sleep; The coffee maker basket was very soiled with a heavy build-up of coffee residue, making any coffee processed through the machine very bitter. Also, it took the coffee maker over twenty minutes to make a 10 cup pot of coffee! Hence the coffee was not only nasty to the taste, but also cold once the cycle was completed. Also, the metal bands of the coffee pot which hold the handle in place had slid to one side of the pot, placing the spout out of alignment with the top, so that the top could not be properly closed and coffee could not be safely poured. I think it is time to replace this inexpensive device; 3) The heater in the living room put out very little heat, and the fan was so noisy that one could not run the heater and hear the TV at the same time. It was uncomfortably cold in the living room; 4) The Netflix worked well as did the internet, however, very few of the channels were functioning, in that the picture was either static, no signal or breaking up. Might have been the provider or system; 5) An empty five gallon jug was in the water urn had not been replaced with a fresh jug. Fortunately there was enough water in the reservoir to serve our needs, as we did not make much coffee and had an ample supply of our own bottled water; 6) There were several piles of what appeared to be dog droppings along the driveway, either left there by previous guests or local animals of the canine persuasion. We noticed them when we picked up after our dogs. Caveat emptor! read more

This company has several cabins for rent in the Prescott area. We stayed at the Limberlost cabin. The beds were comfortable, it was clean, not spotless, but clean. This place is very old. The oven works but the dial is missing so it made it very hard to get the temperature correct. The skillet that was available for cooking was not usable, as the teflon was peeling. Many of the plates, ceramic, had broken and been glued back together. The bathroom has black mold on the ceiling. My allergies flared up and I suspect it was because of the mold. The heater in bedroom with twin beds was not on casters but flat on the carpet flooring which could be a fire hazard. The plug in the same room had burnt out and was black all around it. The yard was nice for pets, however we had to do a minor repair to keep our small dog in. Overall, it was great for pets, trails nearby were good, but with the problems listed above we wont stay here again. Kim L. read more
