Never a better rental experience anywhere in our travels. I cannot imagine the manager ever being anything but welcoming and friendly! We rent cars locally often and have never had a single problem. I am writing the review simply because people need to know there is another side to the heavy complaining. We will continue to get cars there and we will continue to recommend the shop to our friends and neighbors. As an aside, they have all reported a good experience. On very short notice--because a different company had failed us!--he helped us to get into a weeklong rental vehicle that comfortably seated five adults plus luggage for an out-of-state trip. The Ford Explorer was clean, comfortable and had all the latest safety and navigation features. It made our travels so easy and Eddy's personal assistance over the phone and later during pickup was super-appreciated. I hope Avis Recognizes great employees like him. As a result of this experience, Avis will be my first choice for car rental next time.

They told me what my initial charge was, and they held that as a pending charge in my bank account as I used my debit card. When I returned the car, they charged an extra dollar and $.30 I think for the gas difference as they had given me an estimate of what it would be and I elected to pay an extra fee for them to gas it up for me. No harm no foul right they already told me upfront so I told them go ahead and charge The additional dollar and $.30 but here's where things went downhill. The initial pending charge of $279 is still pending from my bank. Once I returned the vehicle and they charged me an extra $1.30 so they pulled $280.30 from my bank account but here the thing: the initial $279 is still pending. It has been a week and a half since I have returned the vehicle and they told me I will not get it back until 10 full business days from the date that I returned the vehicle. So they will be able to hold my initial charge $279 for a total of 17 days. I cannot access my own money in my bank account and my bank cannot cancel the charge since it's not an actual charge and still just sitting there pending. So basically they are withholding my money from me and I cannot do anything about it and neither can my bank. The people at Enterprise were perfectly friendly and the car drove perfectly well but the company policy of holding the initial fee for up to 10 business days is for what exactly?? Terrible policy. I recommend you try a different company that doesn't do this to their customers.

The customer service staff was very unhelpful and said that their company is not affiliated with any of those advertising sites listed above, therefore nothing can be done. I find that laughable and uneducated, and the business practice is irresponsible and scam-like. Those above sites are nationwide companies that offer free of use for advertising, whereas Zipcar is also a nationwide company who takes that advantage to advertise yet does not keep the consistency of what they're advertising, but just to cheat money off customers. What a shame. I wasted two days waiting to be approved and $25 for an application that was useless and misled to begin with. What upsets me the most is that the company does not want to take any responsibility for their lack of keeping the most updated and corrected info for their customers. AVOID! SCAM! Isn't it a scam that your company does not want to be responsible of what's being put out there.. especially for such a renowned site like Google Map?
