I've been seeing Dr. Fronjian for over a decade now and he does great work!! I get cleanings every 3 months since I am too lazy to floss on my own so I visit pretty frequently. 2 visits per year are covered by insurance, the other 2 I pay out of pocket at a reasonable cost. There are plenty of appointments available, plenty of parking in the lot, and the office is clean and sanitary. There are TVs mounted on the ceiling so you can watch a show while your teeth are worked on. I always look forward to the little goody bag at the end of our appointment that has a tooth brush, floss, and tooth paste. Other than regular cleanings, Dr. Fronjian also offers teeth whitening at a very reasonable price as well. I've gotten trays and teeth whitening gel from him that I still use to this day. 10/10 would recommend coming here for your dental needs! read more

I greatly appreciate having Dr. Fronjian as my dentist. I started seeing him over a decade ago, since when I was in high school. At one point my parent's insurance swapped us to another dental clinic, and as soon as I got my first job's insurance I went straight back to Dr. Fronjian. Dr. Fronjian is very respectful and authentic, willing to walk me through any questions I had about my dental health. He has helped me address and assuage concerns I had about TMJ and tooth sensitivity. I was recommended to this dentist by a jiujitsu buddy that goes here telling me I could get a custom mouth guard for $20 back in 2018. Not sure what the price is nowadays but you get a discounted one every year that you are a customer. I have 3 so far! I've been coming here for five years now and it's always been a smooth visit. Went in for an initial appointment and to get a broken tooth looked at. I was wary because of the reviews of this dentist adding "required" procedures and charges that are not covered by HMO insurance, so I took a good look at my schedule of benefits beforehand. For example, my cleanings have no patient responsibility, but his plan showed $31 per quadrant for a non-covered subgingival rinse. I thought, weird, all of the costs of a cleaning are supposed to be covered, not a good sign. Then we got to the estimate for the crown. What a whopper. My schedule of benefits shows the highest patient cost for the most expensive porcelain/ceramic crown at $225, with all other types of crowns being $50. This dentist tried to add a procedure, that when I talked with Metlife, they said they've never heard of it, and that the reason for the procedure, finding the margin for the crown, was crown 101, standard practice, not an additional $700 charge. He tried to tell me what a good deal I'm getting. What a joke! Don't fall for it. I don't know why this seems to be more common with dentists that take HMOs. I switched from a PPO because of cost and I don't use it much and am regretting it greatly. I'm hoping the next dentist I choose isn't trying to scam me. This is literally why dentists don't get the same respect as doctors. I've never had a doctor try to upsell and scam me on procedures that insurance doesn't cover but they assure you are totally necessary. Going to the dentist shouldn't be like getting your oil changed when you refuse the $200 radiator flush service. read more

I just read through A C.'s review and wanted to add that the same thing happened to me. I went to this dentist, they did my annual x-rays, the dentist looked at my teeth, and then he left the room to bring in the the receptionist to go over my "benefits". That was strange in itself because I have NEVER had a dentist go through my "benefits" half way through my appointment while I am literally still in the chair. It was extremely sketchy since she informed me that my insurance would not cover the cost of a mandatory gingival rinse at $112! I said I didn't want to do the rinse since I have never had to do it before at any dentist I have ever been to and she said I had to or else they would refuse to do my cleaning. The cleaning was the point of the entire appointment, and they had already done the x-rays and the dentist had done his inspection, so they would have billed that to my insurance. So, they made me sign the paperwork that I was agreeing to pay it before they even did the treatment. The "enforcer" woman told me that it's because I have bad dental insurance (HMO) that I have to pay for the rinse and that if I had PPO, it would have been covered. They held me hostage by intentionally doing my x-rays and inspection before then refusing to do my cleaning without authorizing a payment of $112! Absolutely unethical. As soon as they made me sign it, the woman leaves and the dentist walks right back in the room. He was just waiting outside the room to have his receptionist secure my payment. This dentist is a scammer. Be wary. read more

Dr. Fronjian quoted me a price for a procedure that was three times as much as my HMO insurer said I should pay him for my share of cost. He complains all the time about the HMOs, so he should not take them. HMOs pay a certain payment to the dentist per month, so if you don't need anything, he still gets this payment. Then the patient pays HMO-determined share of cost on certain procedures. Even if you have a PPO, do you really want to go to a dentist that talks all the time about the money? I changed dentists and my new dentist does not constantly talk about money. She focuses on my teeth, as a dentist should do. read more

I've had quite a few crowns done for me. Dr. Fronjian by far did the best job ever. I had absolutely no pain during the procedure, none when the temporary was on nor once the permanent crown was applied. I didn't think twice about chewing on it. I'm so impressed with Dr. Fronjian. I usually never leave reviews but I just wanted to spread awareness for others in case they encounter the same experience. There are handful of reviews that state that Dr. Fronjian refused to provide standard cleaning (covered by dental insurance) and recommended deep cleaning instead (out of pocket cost). That was the same case for me and I decided to get a second opinion. The other dentist informed me that my teeth are in great condition and recommended standard cleaning. All dentists may have different recommendation or diagnosis, however, this issue has come up so often on all review platforms for Dr. Fronjian that it feels like it's his business strategy. Dental experiences can always be daunting, especially if your not use to it. But when it's a must, you have to find someone to be gentle but most of all professional. I had a mucocele in my lower lip that I've had for 3 months. It didn't go away so I needed it removed. This guy is a total crook!!!! My regular cleaning was supposed to be covered by insurance that he accepted. I was billed $120 on the spot, but didn't protest at the time. Come to find out, as others here have documented, I was charged for "Loc Del of Therapeutic Agents", i.e. I was treated with an anti-bacterial agent. Big problem, that agent should only be administered when the patient has had a DEEP cleaning. I have never needed, nor did I receive a DEEP cleaning on this visit. I called his office to see if there was a mistake. I pointed out I only had a normal cleaning. Doctor said he insists on administering the agent with EVERY cleaning. Later I read an article in Reader's Digest (February 2021) about how "shady", in general dentists can be. "While most of the professionals who care for our teeth are reputable and honest, dentistry is less science-based and regulated than other fields. Some patients pay the price." read more

On Tuesday, Feburary 25, 2020 I went to my scheduled dentist appointment at 10:30am. As always, I was greeted by Joyce the front desk person with an amazing smile. Afterwards, I was led in the room by Ericka the dental assistant. She was very polite and made me feel comfortable by selecting a tv channel that I would like to watch. Once, I'm all settled Dr. Avo greeted me and ask how I was doing today. Also, inquired if I was experiencing any pain. I told him no. I find Dr. Avo to be a great person to converse about anything. He also has a good sense of humor that makes me laugh. I must say that I'm enjoying this Dentist office more and more when I go to my appointments. My first visit at Dr. Fronjian's dental office. I went there for a cleaning and a consultation regarding invisalign. There was no wait for me. We got started as soon as I finished filling out the paper work. I first did an X-ray, Dr Fronjian then examined my teeth and gave me some great advice on invisalign vs braces based on my situation. Then he started cleaning, and he was being very patient and was taking his time to clean my teeth thoroughly. He did a really great job cleaning my teeth. Oh, did I mention the cleaning didn't hurt at all? I went back to work after visiting Dr. Fronjian. I told my coworkers about my dental appointment and everybody was like, I hate going to the dentist! Not for me! Pro: Professional medical/office space, if slightly dated. Friendly staff. Cons: Similar to what Selina reviewed in 2016, they still refuse to do cleanings without their extra (gingival irrigation) service. This is not covered by insurance, and this has been the only dentist that I have visited that flat out refused to perform standard-of-care services without their tacked on extras. I declined the cleaning on the basis of not wanting to pay extra out-of-pocket fees for a service I did not agree to. What struck me the most was that Dr. Fronjian did not once try to convince me using any therapeutic rationale for the gingival irrigation, but instead simply repeated himself that it was their policy for every patient. Closing: I wish I would have known about this "policy" before I went in to the office, but it was not in any of the documentation they had me review ahead of time. Thankfully the office sent me the full Xray images they obtained so I can bring them with me to my next dentist. read more

I was referred by a co-worker and I'm so glad I found this dentist as he by far the best I've ever been to. I am one of those that has always been afraid of the dentist but not anymore. Dr. Fronijian takes the time to explain everything in great detail and is so gentle and caring. I barely even felt the Novocain shot which is a big win for me. The office is very nice with state of the art equipment...and a TV on the ceiling which is a very helpful distraction. The receptionist (so sorry I forgot her name) is so friendly and helpful. I love my dentist and staff!! Today was my first visit to see Dr. Fronjian. Such a beautiful office! Maryanne greeted me with genuine kindness. Ericka, the hygienist,then took me back for X-rays and exam. She couldn't have been sweeter or more professional. In just minutes I met Dr. Fronjian who was just lovely and easy to talk to. I learned some interesting things about my mouth that had never been explained before, and they offered a complimentary numbing gel just for the cleaning which I've never had. Great little bonus! I was looking for a good dentist. I looked thru yelp and read the reviews mostly good. I called and made appointments for me and my daughters. At first they were very nice and friendly, but things changed. The Dr. was trying to scare/sell me a sleep apnea machine and I didn't think he did a very good job of checking our teeth. He took a quick look and was done. basic clean not great had better and again he kept trying to sell/scare me a sleep apnea. said he could tell by just looking at me?? whatever that means. I left my last dentist office because of how rude the office staff was. The staff was nice at first, I even complimented them, but when I missed an appointment I had on 11/26 because I was stuck at the airport due to plane cancelations & delays things changed. I received a hand written bill for $100.00 (2-$50.00 charges for missed appointments)stating the this is the 4th time missing an appointment we did not charge you for 2 of them. I didn't actually have any dental work done here. I think the people making the appointments are very disorganized. I came in at 9:45, the time I made my appointment. When I got there, they said I was late because I made the appointment at 9:00. I know for a fact that I made it at 9 because I drop my son off at preschool at 9:00, I would have never made it at that conflicting time. Over the phone I suggested to the lady taking my appointment that she take my email, so they could send me the forms so I would have them ready when I go in, she refused and said she they don't email forms at their office... However, when I went in for my actual appointment they asked me if I filled out the forms that they emailed, which I obviously I never received since they refused my email address. I had the feeling that the woman that set up was preoccupied at the time I scheduled my appointment. I never received any reminder calls, mail, or email confirmation about my appointment, which would have brought the incorrect appointment time to my attention. This was very inconvenient. Not only did I waste my time and gas, but I also went through the hassle of dropping off my 10 month old with a sitter. It was a very hectic morning, all for nothing. read more
