We came here early for dinner on a Saturday night and were the only ones there. When we left, the restaurant was very busy. We shared many items from their menu. I would say everything was good. Nothing was great, and I was not disappointed with anything. Items we tried were the Sweet Plantains with Guacamole, Mozzarella Sticks, Yucca Fries, Beef Empenadas, and the Tres Leches Cake. This is becoming our now go to quick not so quick restaurant. The evening server Ashley is great very knowledgeable about the menu and always has a smile on her face. The restaurant has lots of seating always clean and very welcoming. They are starting a football TV night that should be interesting. it was kind of nice not having a week although it did get busy while we were there. My son had the morning burger with an over easy egg he added bacon and chorizo. We love that they will deep fry the bacon so it's nice and crispy. It was a huge burger that he had to cut in half in order to fit in his mouth. They came with seasoned french fries that were nice and crispy. I had the tacos. There were three of them and they come with cabbage and spices. The beef was done perfectly. The sauce was great for dipping. Had a good kick to it. I chose my side, mushroom and zucchinis and they were amazingly good. They weren't overdone spiced and seasoned. We also tried the chocolate nacho dessert with Oreos, chocolate chips, and strawberries with hot fudge and whip cream. The chips are huge and too much crunchiness to them, but they're good. They're great vessel to carry the toppings to your mouth in a good way. Can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. read more

So we went on a Saturday morning around 11am after my child finished his basketball practice. Customer service is excellent even eith just 3 wait staff but the kitchen took awhile to get our food out. Ifyoure in a rush, I'd recommend coming back if you and your party have some extra time. I think it took nearly 25 minutes for us to receive our food. Food wasn't mind blowing but was still delicious and cooked the way we asked. Sausages were good, fries were texmex seasoned, Fritata was picant with chorizo crumbles and cheese inside and out, Texas toast felt like just wide toasted white bread with a little butter, tortillas are a nice touch for sides but thr cheesy grits were really good, came piping hot and were cheesy and gooey, my son had several spoonfuls. Definitely would recommend to try but nothing spectacular. read more

A charming pivot from a Denny's Diner to a tasty and friendly Mexican Cafe. Breakfast is served all day. Besides burritos, tacos, fajitas, nachos, quesadillas and empanadas you can order burgers and wings as well as several salads. My husband devoured his steak fajitas. Generous portion came with black beans and flavorful rice as well as the usual sides of tortillas, pico de gallo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. I was only able to eat half of my Mexican frittata (hash browns and toast came with it.) The frittata was loaded with chorizo, red peppers, onions, jalapeños and topped with cheese. I'll enjoy the second have for breakfast tomorrow. Our server Luis was charming and attentive. He knew what we needed before we did! My cousin and I decided to check this restaurant because it took over the old Dennys. We were pleasantly surprised with the portions of all the food we ordered and how prompt everything came out. We ordered chips and queso, an empanada, a burrito, and steak fajitas, and it all came out to about $50 which I thought was pretty reasonable. Also, we got a few happy hour discounts. We ordered the birria tacos, and they were not good. I only ate two and left the third. Birria meat It looked dry, and served with old cilantro and onions. I hope my stomach doesn't hurt after this. I also ordered the Mexican street corn, and it was a fail. They disrespected the Mexican street corn completely by adding ketchup. The parboiled rice was seasoned well, but there may have been too much cumin. The mac and BBQ burrito was okay, and the BBQ chicken wings didn't disappoint. Fries, I guess, was OK. But I could never return to this place because the food is not at the level of return. Plus, the service was slow and horrible. You had a young black kid just staring into space and doing the bare minimum and a white lady who appears to have an issue because we don't want to say what I feel because it's apparent. We asked for a soda refill, and she did not remember or choose to forget. We did not tip her well because she walked past us several times and did not deliver our free refill drink. She has a memory issue, or they do not honor what they promote, " free soda refills. Went here Sunday morning for breakfast. This place is a must try. Had the 4 for $13.99, trust me they give you a lot for that price. We had dinner there last night. It's the old Denny's but I'd never seen Denny's that crowded. I ordered the $15 "limited time special" of 3 tacos with a free Margarita. My friend had a fajita. I couldn't believe how much food came with his entree. We both shared it. Everything was delicious. The chef came to our table to ask how things were & apologized for the long wait for food (which I did not consider too long especially as things are prepared from scratch) & offered us a free dessert. That was a lovely gesture & ensured we'll be back. I'd love to try their breakfast. I recommend you come off-hours if you don't want a long wait to be served. My only complaint (if it is even a complaint) is that they didn't provide chips & salsa as most Mexican restaurants do. With a long wait it would provide something to munch on. The restaurant set up is the same as the old Denny's (I remember having had a skillet dinner in the same cast-iron pan my friend's fajita came in) but they did decorate a bit. My wife and I have visited avocado kitchen four times now enjoyed every meal that was served to us. All the servers are friendly knowledgeable, and make you feel like you're sitting in your own kitchen enjoying dinner. I definitely recommend anyone that likes type food empanadas, and so forth should really give them a shot. read more
