I showed up today with my mom because I had a gift card and wanted to see if I could find a decent moisturizer here that didn't break the bank. Their prestige makeup is always very alluring, but a tad too expensive for me. Since it's the holidays, they were set up with their products that would make good gifts, front and center. I was buying something for myself, however, so I didn't really pay attention. The store is very well organized, though! Just as I started looking for the perfect moisturizer, one caught my eye almost instantly. I like water based, gel moisturizer, so the one from Neutrogena I saw was ticking all those boxes. I grabbed the box and went up to the cash registers. Though there was no one there at first (totally understandable, as the staff was out on the floor helping other customers), I didn't wait long. A store associate who was finished helping someone came up to the register and apologized for the wait, which was nice of her. We chatted about some things we ended up having in common and she was probably the nicest, most pleasant staff member I've ever met there. It was great that she didn't rush me through the checkout process like a lot of retail workers do this time of year (as a former retail grunt, I totally understand why). Whenever I come in, the staff are super pleasant, super helpful and eager to please. I find the store to be well organized and usually everything is put away and looks good. It does seem that they are slightly short staffed at times because there are times when there are boxes in the aisles and haven't yet been put away. They also seemed to have given up the parking lot, and now allow the parking lot to be used by many people. It's very generous of them and they don't have to do that. It also does make it slightly more difficult when you're actually shopping there to get a parking spot. That's an unfortunate side effect of the neighbors not being respectful of who the parking is being provided for.

Their prices seem to have gone up since the last time I was here. In addition to their organic beauty aids they also display various items of jewelry from local jewelers. They are mostly made of semiprecious stones and are very beautiful. I have two bracelets and a necklace that I wear often from here. The shop is quite small but there is a lot packed in here. The owners are super friendly and helpful. I've been to A&A Beauty Supply, Sally Beauty Supply and now CosmoProf. CosmoProf has the most to offer for Esthetician's. They have waxing supplies, silicone bowls, silicone spatulas (not the size I was looking for), head wraps both single use and reusable, cotton and gauze, towels, even towels specifically for men, lash applicators for the purpose of applying individual lash extensions and much more. All this in store! They also have a lot of other items in store for all beauty professions. I listed the ones I would need as an Esthetician, because they're apparently hard to find in one place in Buffalo. They also have a catalog and website with even more to offer. Glad I found most of what I needed in store so I didn't have to order everything from Amazon. Sometimes I prefer to touch and physically see things for specific items.
