But anyway... It had been...a week. My younger son's car has been in the shop so he has been borrowing his brother's car while his brother is out of the country. His brother's car is a finicky starter and had needed jumped a couple of times during the week. Needless to say, my son and I were over the car troubles completely. Well, he got the car started and went to fill it up, then of course it wouldn't start again. We tried everything we could think of until we called for a tow. When Cory responded, he diagnosed the problem before even putting it on the flatbed. When he put it down in front of my house, he was able to prove his theory and tell us where to get it fixed for the best price. Received another text that it would be approx 1 - 1.5hr to come out. I notified them that I was disabled and it was imperative that the timing was ASAP. I received another text message @ 1:19 informing me they found a service and they wouldn't be out till 03:19 PM and 03:49 PM. I called ULTRA TOWING to inform them that this was a situation that required service immediately that I was in the heat and disabled w/ no place for relief. The person on the phone was very rude and short w/ me and said "that's the best i can do, and driver will call you on his way" then hung up on me.

Being that said I looked up the plates to see the specs and it does state 2WD. He is almost certain that it has a transfer case. Which is possible if someone has swapped it over for AWD. But when looking up the specs, I brought to his attention. He was very truculent and told me not to keep bothering him. Said that I was wasting his time, by asking questions?! Seems very sketchy as well. Would not give me an address. Just give me a phone number and call me back at different numbers as well. Before he hooked up to the SUV we came out of the house and asked what he was doing. Instead of stopping, he put the bar out and lifted the back of the SUV. He said he was taking the SUV to his lot and wouldn't put it down unless we paid him $300. We had to call the cops to keep him from taking the SUV. The police said since he was hooked up it was a civil matter and we would need to take him to court for it to be resolved. The police talked him into lowering the fee to $100 so we paid him and he let the car down and left. He wasn't getting paid for the vehicle he was called to tow so he was going to get money from someone, whether it was legal or not! He was not helpful at all and wouldn't even tell us his name when the 911 operator asked for it. He said "it's on my shirt" but we standing in the dark and his shirt couldn't be seen. This guy will scam you for the most money he can get, even if it is illegally. If I could give zero stars I would. Also, this is on Christmas night.
