Don't bring your garbage to work just do your job and don't start with an attitude. the negative attention received from this towing company seem to be highly inspired by racial motivation I calm it like I see it and been in enough situations to know. when driving up a kid was in the way of the only parking spot besides the handicap parking. he stood there spraying, seeing I was parking. he did not move. why, I don't know. I just know strange behavior when I see it. As far as the business I was there for went accordingly. There was just a way I had to communicate giving the best example of myself not stooping down to the ignorance of one's character. keep a smile and say thank you when business is done, leave and hope I never have to come here again. read more

I recovered my stolen truck today which I was told by police they would give me the opportunity to get it before towed but instead MV towing grabbed it in 15 minutes and when I arrived to their location literally 15 minutes after they dropped my truck they wanted to charge me $373 and told me that the additional $104 was because it sat there for half a day when I literally got there 10-15 minutes after the truck pulled in!!! They are a complete scam who work with the police just to get money from the community and screw people that are in unfortunate circumstances!! They have no compassion please go to a different tow company for the sake of everyone that puts reviews on here with the same concerns!! read more

These guys are literal conartists. They made up a law on the spot to prevent me from retrieving my personal belongings after an accident. The front desk lady should run for politics because she argues with the best of them. I have never witnessed a person create statistics on the spot the way she did. Jokes on her though she sent a guy out there to let me get my bill of sale, and he let me retrieve the only items I cared about which were pictures of my daughter. She had no f****** remorse. And that's why they're contracted by state patrol to do impound because they can't get normal business from any working people. read more

We just got a notice in the mail that our spare car had been towed from our front drive because it had expired tabs. The tabs are expired because there are a couple parking tickets out of Tacoma to resolve and when we tried to take care of it, the court has been closed due to the COVID quarantine and are only handling emergency hearings. So we've been stuck between a rock and a hard spot. The letter sent says they previously notified us but that's a complete lie! So, look for these guys to take advantage of and penalize people who are suffering through covid. My husband and I are both laid off due to covid. Please boycott these crooks. I would like to start by saying that after being in custody over a short. Of time and having to pay in large amount to retrieve my vehicle from MV Towing that they take it upon themselves to get into your vehicle and steal your computers and any belongings that they see valuable. This is a common thing this company will steal belongings out of the inside of your vehicle and they will deny access to the vehicles saying that they do not get inside of them all the men while I watch them get inside five vehicles just to be able to get access to my truck to pull it out of the yard so that was absolutely a lie. I'm seeking legal council to go after my belongings from MV Towing and I'm going to write a review every single day until restitution is paid or my belongings returned to me this company is crooked and dishonest and take advantage of people I'm have zero accountability or integrity! read more

These guys are awesome. I have a 32' trailer that became wedged in a road while moving when the hitch broke. They set up a complicated cable pulley system to dislodge and move it into the parking spot. They relieved us from an extremely stressful situation and saved the day! read more

These guys only had my car for two hours. I arrived and had to wait 2 hours before they arrived. Then they over charged me. I go to get in my car but they had locked my keys in it. I had to wait another hour for someone to open my car. Dont ever use this place. I've been waiting 3 days now for the owner too call me. read more

Do not trust this place! If I could give a negative score I would. I was in an accident and had to have my car towed. The State Patrol called this business and the initial contact with the driver was great. He said that if I had it towed to the lot it would be ok for a few days and to let them know what shop to have my car towed too and there wouldn't be an additional charge. My insurance is having trouble finding a place to take my car and I next I get a notice from MV Towing in the mail (four days later mind you). That my car has been :impounded, they are now charging me $65 a day storage fee and will put my car up for auction in 5 days if I don't pick it up. I call them to have it towed to my house. The lady I talk to is no help at all. Says I have to come in to pay it off and then they will bring it to my house. She refused to take a payment over the phone saying "we have a policy for only in person payments." So, with my injuries from my car accident I have to drive to them to pay my fees. I get there and the person behind "the glass" doesn't even get up from her desk to come help me. She try to talk to me from about fifteen feet away while sitting at her desk. Just horrible customer service. I pay my fees. Its not what the tow truck driver says. They charged me for storage from day 1, charged me two impound fees and two tow fees even though I was told it would be only one tow fee. Last thing is I drew a map for the tow driver to show where to park my car at my house. Turns out he can't even read a map and parks it in the main driveway instead of where I wanted it. Paid them on 05/24 but apparently there card machine "was only storing card information and not charging the card" so here we are 2 WHOLE MONTHS LATER they charge my card with NO notification and still have the nerve to say "we cant do anything, its your banks fault blah blah blah". OUTSTANDING DRIVER!! We called and were picked up and moving from the freeway in less than 30 minutes. Wonderful driver and he absolutely blew my mind when he perfectly backed my car up my STEEP driveway so steep I'll bottom out if I go to fast while just driving and got it perfectly into my garage which is tight and has a support beam in the middle! The gal on the phone nagged me with every question, and they rip you off like HELL!!! They charged for "needed to drive 1h 15mins" when the actual drive was 15 minutes. Could not find enough words to describe how much this company came through for my boyfriend and I tonight. My boyfriends fuel pump on his car went out and every company his insurance company called said it would be 3+ hours after he'd already been sitting in 30ish degree weather for 2. Finally I got fed up and called these guys and they arrived in 20 minutes. I told them I wasn't sure our insurance would cover the costs and he immediately gave us a very decent flat rate and was so willing to work with us. After not being able to tow the car (it's pretty low) he then offered to get a flat bed to make it possible with an increased rate. We decided to call our insurance again and see if the companies that were covered could help and after about an hour of bickering we ended up calling these guys back. They were so much more than understanding and so kind after putting up with our indecisiveness. The flatbed got here faster than they had predicted and they are currently working on getting the car up and on and on its way home. Hoping they don't try to change the price once it's already home since it's a different guy than who we originally talked to. But so far so good! will update later and change the rating if something unexpectedly comes up but as of now we're both very happy! Big thank you to Mike and the second guy who came out tonight! These guys were great! My 29' Beaver Motor home died trying to pull a hill in Renton, WA. I pulled over to a small shoulder of grass just barely out of traffic, and tried a half dozen times to make the hill, but it lurched only about a foot at a time, every time I gave it gas, and died on me just as many times. I gave up about 75' short of the intersection. I was there for over 3 hrs. Large tow trucks capable of towing a 29' motorhome are hard to come by without paying up the ¿#@$ I guess, and after State Farm gave up, I chose to call some towing companies on my own. I found MV Towing by chance on Yelp, and gave them a call. Their minimum tow for a vehicle my size was half of what State Farm had been quoted, so I agreed to pay. They came out to my location, but because I was on a grassy shoulder, they couldn't get to me. I had to see if I could get onto the road. With them assisting with oncoming traffic, I moved fairly easily onto the road. We discussed where I'd wanted to be taken, which was only about a mile away, and when they said it was all downhill to the repair shop, could I make it in the rv, if I followed them? I was game! (I just had to make it the rest of the way up that hill, and could practically coast the entire way.) So I followed the guys down the hill to the DoRite Auto Repair parking lot where I am waiting for them to open on Monday morning! I couldn't have been treated better or more politely! And, because they didn't have to tow me, they only charged me for the show up time to the location! Bless those young men! They were a positive outcome to a negative situation, and I'm thankful! The dispatcher on the phone was kind and professional, the driver was there within 5 minutes of the estimated time of arrival. My only issue was that when I got in the cab to ride to the mechanic, I noticed that both the check break and check engine light were on. It was a bit unnerving, but the driver was professional and polite. It was $108 to get less than 2 miles, to me that seems a bit crazy, but it was within range of the other price checks I did first, so I really can't complain too much. In the federal way area, this is definitely who I'm going to call if I need a tow (unless I decide to get AAA which I think I probably should since I'm trying to play the roll of responsible adult) read more

My car broke down in the middle of the road and I called the federal way police to help me move it to the side, they called MV towing. Once they arrived they avoided my questions about how much it would cost until the car was hooked up and they told me that the tow would be 170 dollars for the hour. Explained I just needed the car to the side of the road which I why I called the police. MV towing adamantly said how much I had to pay or they would take it to their tow yard and they would charge me per day. I told him to put the car down I would rather push it in traffic. He refused to put it down and once he towed it he proceeded to add fees and charges. I would not recommend them to any one. They are not willing to help or assist unless you are in need and they can charge you a ridiculous amount of money. read more

This is the largest rip off for a towing company. My car was towed from a parking lot that has rules that were not posted. It was towed on a Saturday. I called to pick it up. I was told that Saturday was a non-business day granted it was towed on a Saturday just 30 min earlier. So on top of the $299 for the tow, it would cost almost $100 to have someone release it on a Saturday, $58 for the impound/storage/day, and 3.5% after tax for using a credit card. I asked why the $100 charge on a day you obviously work to tow it but hustle me for extra to do paperwork on a weekend. The answer was it's state law that allows me to charge if I declare a day a non-office day. Almost $500 for 30 mins of hassle. Beware! Cheats and get overs also have business licenses and if you say "it's the law" you can do whatever you claim after that - obviously. read more

I called in advance to get a quote on my forklift move. The guy on the phone said $175 plus tax, "as long is it ran". I thought okay, that is fair. I accepted and they picked up and delivered. I told driver I will get you a check, and he said "no, credit card only." I hand him my card and he charges it $227.70. WTF?! I called up their office and demanded a refund. No one told me it would be $35 more that what I was quoted. Will never use them again, too bad, as I need equipment moved regularly. Find another company that will not bait and switch. read more

These guys were there in less than an hour and though my 3 kids and I had already left to go check into our hotel at 3 AM, I can't explain how thankful we are/where.
