I was introduced to Dr. Deems by a good friend of mine whom was very happy with her treatment. I have been dealing with variety of pains and aches due to a chronic health issue I have. Joint, muscle and nerve pains was a normal part of my week. The medical treatments were basically pain medicines and when the pain was severe, narcotics! which basically prevented me from having a normal, productive life. On the first day she took a very thorough health history intake, which she was referring back to all during the various treatments she performed, as to make sure each problem and issue was addressed. Simply life changing! I have been seeing Dr. Deems mostly for acupuncture, and it has truly made an impact on my recovery that no other medicine, PT, or treatment had done so far. I was struggling for about 1year with chronic neck pain and some other symptoms after a concussion in Oct 2021. Reeling from suspected post-Covid symptoms for months, and the HMO system just kept prescribing more meds and referring me to more and more specialists = copay$, toxic drugs and no results. Leslie Deems is amazing! I have been receiving acupuncture for a little over a month for things like acne, digestion, bloating, hormones and headaches. Nothing BUT GOOD to say about Leslie: Very knowledgeable in acupuncture and dietary; very compassionate; very thorough; will only provide services that are expected to be beneficial and will not try to sell you services or stuff that would not be effective; And she is just a really nice person! I was amazed when I recently had a sprained lower back that had me stiff and achy. After just the first session, I was suddenly freed of the stiffness. It did take several more sessions as she had predicted to really get it to calm down and be healed, but no problems since her treatments. I had a very bad spider bite on my arm and it was definitely infected. Leslie took the time to explain to me the whole acupuncture process since this was my first experience.
