Very frustrating shopping experience. Initially called to inquire about a project, was directed to email instead and did, over 2 days emailed back and forth, then asked to call to clarify and did, redirected to return to email and did. All of this was with Manfred with one call with Tony. Ultimately gave up on the project and changed the request to something simple. Was quoted a price for an identical item with processing that was 2.5x more expensive for the exact same project quoted by a local competitor. Buyer beware! Plenty of better options out there. read more

They are nothing but a middleman trying to take credit for the work of others. I placed an order for a custom acrylic box on May 27, 2025 and paid in full. Based on pictures provided by the owner I approved the color for the base within days of placing the order. I then repeatedly checked on the status of the order and was given apologies but no firm answers. Finally, in late August the owner texted me with a cost for the project that was different from what I paid. When I complained the owner CANCELED THE ORDER because he claimed I would never be satisfied with the fabrication. After getting a refund by going to the store rather than texting the credit card information as requested I went down the street to Plastic Smart. Imagine my surprise when the owner of Plastic Smart told me he does all the fabrications for Awards Plus! The picture of the sample I approved was taken at Plastic Smart, not Award Plus' warehouse as represented. Plastic Smart is more than twice as expensive because I was not given the wholesale discount the owner gives Award Plus. I also learned that pieces the owner of Award Plus bragged about when processing my refund were made by Plastic Smart. I hate leaving this review of a local business I have supported for over 10 years but feel it's important for potential customers to know they should not support Award Plus. Go down the street to Plastic Smart and support the local vendor doing the actual work! read more

I recently placed an order from Awards Plus. I sent an email request with what I needed and some reference photos, but unfortunately, I did not get a response. After a couple of days of making a few calls and speaking to different representatives, including the owner, without any luck, I was about to take my business elsewhere. However, on my last attempt call, I got Lily (Liliana), who responded promptly and professionally to all communications I had with her. She was THE only person there who answered the calls by stating the business name and their name. The way all business calls should be answered. I'd leave a 5-star review if it was for Liliana. Having never created a plaque before, let alone on to be presented in front of a governing board to honor my boss on his last day, I searched for a shop that help me. A co-worker recommended Awards Plus and I am so glad they did. When I first walked into the shop, I was greeted by their staff and Manfred began to ask questions in order to help me zero in on what I wanted. After getting several excellent suggestions (no pressure, just helpful) I left with a good idea of what u wanted to do. Feeling very comfortable with the shop, I left a valuable medallion there that would become part of the final project and went to work on the wording for the plaque. As I worked on the inscription, I also looked on their website and found a plaque that was perfect for my needs. After submitting the final inscription and approving their rendering, they started working on it and it was completed in a few days. I picked it up and it came out even better than I had hoped. FACTS: The plaque was supposed to be ready on a Monday. I come to pick it up and they cannot find the order let alone produce the plaque. After 10 mins they find the order online. It was not made. NO APOLOGY. NO "Can we take your number and call you when it is ready?" I come back 2 days later. It is complete but the photograph is not centered. There is an inch on the left of the people and the people on the right are cut off. The guy offers to do it over but I have to present it in a few hours, so I decline. I would not recommend this place at all. No customer service for their lateness or for their mistake. Oh, and the plaque costs $122. sheesh. read more

The customer service here is among the worst I have experienced. They are dishonest and I would never do business with them again. I brought in a trophy plate for engraving (to add additional lines for the newest winners). When I picked up the plate, the new lines were added, but a prior line was missing. You can't erase engraving, so this was clearly a new plate (with a big mistake - missing line). The woman working there insisted that it was the same plate and that the line must not have been there to begin with. I suggested maybe someone else made a mistake and had to do the plate over and made an honest mistake missing one of the prior lines. She insisted that was not the case, that nobody else worked on it but her and that she did not redo the plate. At the end, she did offer to redo the plate anyway, but I refuse to do business with someone who lies and is dishonest. Making a mistake is OK, but own up to it. I like doing business with local companies, but not dishonest ones like this one. read more
