They have Fireball chilled, frozen Bushwhackers and serve all liqour in solo cups (size of cup may vary so request the big ones!) The cheese stick appetizer is a must but skip the crab dip. They post their music each night on Facebook and I suggest checking ahead of time. I love that they bring in locals but needless to say, some are better than others. Although theres no perfect view of the lake you still get the marina vibe and we always have a good time. They have cornhole in the yard for the kids and plenty of room for dancing in the grass. Avocado burger was fair. My personal preference is to have a burger medium well. These are medium rare. Avocado is mixed with strong onion. Also had the Islander bar b que sandwich. Good food overall and their staff is great as well. I have tried and liked their Fish Tacos and White Fish Sandwich as well as their Waylon Burger. One Sunday brunch I had their potato cake Benedict plate that was good and I basically have no complaints other than their 1/2 chicken plate because the breast was a little dry for my taste. It all else was good about the plate and fixings. I'd give the place a B+ to an A- overall. I think you will like it if you give it a try. Love this place! It's off the beaten path but you'll be pleasantly surprised when you get there. They have live music on weekends and you can dine in on hot evenings if you want. I got here at 6:45 and put in my reservation. I had company from out of town come in because we heard this place was great and we say 6 big tables come and go before they sat us. Through out all this I walked up multiple times and they kept say 15 to 20 min. I work in the service industry so I understood that the hostess messed up our reservation and wouldn't accept that and just put us at the bottom. When we were finally "next" they closed the kitchen because they were getting behind which makes since because like I said 6 big tables came after us and and were sat. They said they don't take call a heads so I know she messed up and didn't fix it so though the food was ok it wasn't worth a 1.5 hour wait. read more

I'm not sure why this restaurant is rated 3 1/2 stars - my wife (who is picky) loved the food. I got the brisket sandwich and she got a burger. Both were awesome. The brisket had the right amount of flavorful fat mixed in, while the burger had a wonderfully unique taste that set it above average. We were greeted warmly, waited a bit longer than usual to have our order taken, but service was great after that. We would definitely like to go back and try more of their menu - it's a rather large and comprehensive menu. The restaurant arrangement was convenient - didn't have to walk far. There were many people standing that blocked the aisles, so that was a bit annoying - but what do you expect for a somewhat more casual Marina/restaurant? I'd give it 4 1/2 stars for a great date night for me and my wife. read more

This is probably one of the better restaurants on the lake and has a really fun vibe with live music. The food is also pretty good, I recommend their cheese sticks as they are much different than any cheese sticks I've had. Also the ambiance here is very laid back and fun; a nice place to go grab a drink and hang out with friends. The reason for me only giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the service I received last time i was there. I am from out of town so when i showed my ID the women asked to take it for a second and i see here talking with all these other bartenders and servers then after about 15 minutes she comes back and says that she cannot accept my ID because she believes it is fake because it is vertical. So I explained that i am from out of town and in Virginia they do not renew your drivers license at 21 and give you a new horizontal one. Then she proceeded to tell me that she "googled it" and it said that Virginia does renew them at 21.... she is actually telling me who lives in VA when my drivers license should be renewed.... then she says I can switch your sever because i don't feel comfortable serving you drinks and i said yes please i would like another server. After all that it takes another 15-20 minutes for the next server to come over and take our orders; it was almost like they were purposely going slow just to be spiteful. read more

The restaurant came highly recommended from family and we were unfortunately let down. Our server was a bit, "in the weeds" as restaurant folk may refer to it which is not her fault at all, yet when the manager, Lynne, came to our table to apologize for the untimely service and to speak with us about an ID that they could not take as valid she handled the situation very poorly. The manager expressed her frustration and let us know she was not happy. After huffing and puffing and walking away from the customers, she never returned to our table. Although the food was great and the server tried her best given the circumstances, it was the management that ultimately ruined this birthday outing for my family who were in good spirits regardless of the poor service until Lynne showed her frustrations and just walked away from a customer in need. read more

Cool relaxed atmospher. Boats can pull right up and enjoy some pretty good bar food. My wife got a dirty glass of water with junk floating in it, and the staff corrected the problem quickly. My food was pretty good, it is a great place to visit on a warm summer day. read more

This is the best food I have ever had on the lake the food is cooked the way you like it not the way you don't I would recommend this place to my friends and family. The best part is you can come on your boat witch is very convenient for me I come like once every 3 weeks just don't have that much time to come! You can sit in side or out. They LITERALLY each had 3 pieces of cilantro on them, and not in a festive/decorative way. The slaw was very half assed and the whole presentation looked deflated and unappetizing. Her plate was garnished with 7 tortilla chips (I counted bc it was so poorly presented). The tacos were $10. My wife is not a big eater and she finished them in about 5 minutes and said she was still hungry. I ordered a $10 salad that was pretty good. In the end, $37 for a pretty crappy meal and now we are headed to a burger joint bc my little wife is still hungry lol. The worst part is that I wandered around toward the kitchen and a manager looking guy w/gray hair just stared at me no "hey how is everything" haha he must have not wanted to deal with it today. I used to love this place. We appreciate fine food and go to eat not just drink. The last time I ordered my favorite fettuccine seafood Alfredo the taste was off way sour not fresh and we complained to the waitress who did not seem to care too much. I hate to give this place a thumbs down but when 2 people eat and know the bill upon leaving is always in the $50 range you expect to get good food. Well it wasn't good last time and we have been back since and it was a little better . The service was good. Folks you still need to work on your Alfredo sauce..the only reason I am giving a three star is because last time we ate the Sunday brunch IT WAS AWESOME. read more

My husband and I read the reviews and were excited to check Awedaddys out but were so disappointed. We ordered the crab dip and butter was swimming on top, no crab detectable and tasted nasty. The waiter was gracious and brought us spinach dip instead and it was runny, Just disgusting! He did offer to take it off our bill and we should have let him but didn't. I felt sorry for him, how embarrassing to be serving either one of these dips. The blackened fish sandwich is suppose to be their best sandwich but that too was lacking. My husband said his bun was wet so he didn't eat that part. The atmosphere is so pleasant but the owners need to be aware of what is coming out of that kitchen. read more

My husband and I went last Saturday night just to go someplace new. We had a 45 minute wait which was fine since we just walked around the marina. We were seated and our server was great. We were seated right next to the live band but, they asked if that was okay and we said sure. It was a mistake but, not their fault. Just very loud but, the band was great. Their mixed drinks were excellent. We got their chicken salad sandwich which was great. It did start storming so we had to leave early but overall great service and experience. read more
