During a fun afternoon of boating on Old Hickory Lake we stopped at Awedaddy's at the Marina for some drinks and a little lunch. The food was really good, best Mozzarella Sticks I've ever eaten or seen, those things are huge! Then I had some sort of drink in a bucket that was really good, kudos to our bartender. The service was very attentive which was surprising since the place was packed that afternoon and we had 7 people in our party alone. We gave the bartender a big ole tip for her service, I wish I could remember her name, she was great. Looks like they are temporarily closed right now and hopefully it's just due to winter months. I was there during the height of Covid in June and it was completely open. *Highly recommend stopping here especially if you are boating out on the lake. So we came for the music.....We ended up getting some drinks and bar food. My thoughts on bar food is at best a four out of ten...Sometimes I am surprised, thiis time I was. It was a fun, light hearted atmosphere, clean and, easy parking.Great staff and a fun menu. I got chicken tenders after seeing several plates served to tables around us. I was not disappointed , the chicken was white, moist, tender and a wonderfully coating....onion rings were perfect. Wine and beverages were high quality... We have had dinner here a few times. Dinner has always been on the patio for us at Awedaddys. They have great dinner and drink specials. My husband and I both had the fish and chips special. Lightly bread chunks of cod served with two hush puppies and fries. They have malt vinegar available which pleases my British friend immensely. We had cheese sticks and fried mushrooms as appetizers. Loved the batter on the cheese sticks are coated with. Light and fluffy served with a tasty marinara sauce. My two things that keep me from a 5 rating...they bring the trash by on a gator and it really smells awful. They brought the trash by twice while we were eating. Ugh!! The other issue is not really the restaurant's fault but I hate the smoking! It just ruins my dinner. On the weekends there is live music. The staff is always friendly and service is good. Bathroom is cleaning. Parking is easy. Great atmosphere! read more

We went on a Friday night, so the wait was pretty long, but as expected for a popular restaurant. My husband and I split two entrees: Chile Lime Salmon with Broccoli + Onion Rings & Catfish Sandwich with Fries + Coleslaw. Both were amazing and we would definitely order again. My friends and I visited the lake for labor day weekend and stopped here for brunch. It's located right on the water! We had to wait about an hour for seating, but that's not terrible considering it was a weekend holiday. There wasn't a lot of seating for guests to wait, especially if you want to sit in the shade. We were visiting from Arizona and "invaded" this precious gem with a full baseball team of 17 year old young men and their families. The staff "rolled with the punches" and provided amazing service and were just as friendly as they could be! This will be a destination on our next visit!! read more

First time here and came for brunch. It has a nice vibe to it but it was still a bar. I imagine the night scene here can be rather fun. I got the fish tacos and they were ok and the cheddar grits where just ok. I think if you have a Bloody Mary bar you would make awesome ones but just plain ones is what we got. Don't count it out as a fun spot because you have beer food bikinis water and a srage....what could go wrong! read more

This is a fun spot to visit when you are ready for a break from the lake and want to grab an umbrella drink or 5. The food is pretty rough though... I really enjoy sitting outside and being close to the bar. They often have a band playing live and the owners are super friendly and helpful. I've eaten a couple items from the menu but just am never impressed. It's typical mediocre bar food I guess and nothing will blow you away. I do wish there was an outdoor section of the restaurant over the water, but I definitely feel like I'm in a different place when sitting on the back patio with a cocktail and that place is lovely! read more

We've been coming here a few years now. This is our favorite place to come for live music on Friday night date night or lunch beers on Sunday with the whole family. Staff is always super nice and laid back and everybody in the place (including the customers) seem to be in a good mood. Nice draft selection, dogs allowed and homemade cheese sticks are money. Ice Tea to drink. Overall: Reading through some of the higher rated reviews, I am not sure how this place achieved such great reviews other than the ambiance. It could have been what I ordered but this sandwich was beyond plain. The bread was very hard and when cooked was basically pressed in what looks like a George Foreman grill. The ham was not sliced ham but you can tell it was from a plastic container like Oscar Meyer ham and then the roasted pork was minimal at the least. Oh and you know when you squeeze mustard bottle the first time out the fridge in a long time it has that mustard "juice" that comes out? Yeah that all over the front part of my sandwich. You can tell this place just doesn't care about the quality of their food but just earning people's hard earned money. As far as the service, our waiter forgot to bring out all our drinks and multiple intervals and forgot mine at least twice. He was hardly at our table for refills also and was hard to track down. Would I go back?: Maybe...I usually give restaurants two times and if they screw up the second time, I will never go back. Love this place! Food is great and staff is great! It's nice to know that the owner is also the former owner of Grand stands and that I can get my fix of their amazing cheese sticks!
