Fish sandwich

Good was better than expected, service was quick and efficient, [[HIGHLIGHT]]restaurant by the water with lots of outdoor seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Gluten free sweet chili salmon

The menu is clearly marked gluten free, which is greatly appreciated. The food and drinks were not very good, especially for $90 for two people.

Waylon burger. Good but not a fan of pre-toasted buns.

Love this place! Unlike the typical marina restaurant, they actually make good food, not just something marginally edible because they know you aren't driving anywhere. Brunch is great, there's an omelette station, buffet, and you can get a glass of vodka and make your own Bloody Mary. There's also a burger, the delicious shrimp Brekkichanga, and a bunch of Benedicts although I think they could make a better Hollandaise if they wanted to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere right on the water, cool bar, local drafts, great servers![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I am a huge fan of restaurants at marinas and Awedaddy's Bar and Grill at Gallatin Marina is a perfect example of why. It was the end of an extremely hot day, and we still agreed to sit outside and eat. The outdoor bar was comfortable, the staff (or Crew according to their t-shirts) were busy, but hard working and most attentive. We ordered drinks from the bar and then our meals. Our waitress was there on her first day and was a trooper. She was efficient, friendly, and funny. She worked really hard and did a great job. The entire staff was running around in a well choreographed dance routine filling orders, refilling drinks, serving food, and taking care of all the guests. This is an excellent dinner location and during the week they have bands perform. Check out Awedaddy's at Gallatin Marina for a wonderful meal.

Cuban sandwich

This was our first visit to Awedaddys. The service was good. The cheese sticks were phenomenal. The Cuban sandwich....not great. There was very little pork or pickle on it. Would definitely not order it again. The pork tacos were just ok. The pork itself didn't have much flavor, though the toppings and salsa were good and flavorful. My husband had the bushwacker original flavor and it was quite tasty. Overall, we really wanted to love this place as it's close to home and sits in the marina. They have a fun atmosphere. We will definitely give it another try... the table next to us had the chicken tender sandwich and a burger....both looked very good. Worth giving them a second shot if just to try those two items.

8 of us stopped for lunch during a day of play on Old Hickory Lake. Service was fast and the food was good. I had the crab cakes and the peel & eat shrimp. The peal & eat was cooked right and tasted like it was seasoned with Old Bay. The crab cakes had a basaltic reduction on them that was so strong, I couldn't taste the crab at all. In spite of that it was good, Others has the strawberry salad, the ahi tuna, fried cheese sticks, salmon and grits. It was all good. It's a great place for a brew and a bite to eat. We liked it.

I went back and forth on ratings here, as there was some good and some not so good. In the end, we had a great time, so the extra star was added in for good measure. It was the second stop on a "visit places on Old Hickory Lake" tour. Probably my least favorite, but still worth the 4 stars (Moby Dick's was my number one). There are "two" restaurants here, or at least one restaurant with an outdoor bar that has a completely different vibe. The main indoor restaurant is found down closer to the water where the boat owners' parking is, while the outdoor bar is up higher and has gravel parking for the non-boat owners. The parking is a bit of a negative for me, as my car is low enough to scrap over the curbyou have to traverse to park. On the way out, I drove over by the stand where the hump was not as high to avoid a second beating on the bottom of my car. Yes, this is likely petty, so it is not heavy on my list of items. Initially, the bartender was a bit preoccupied and did not take notice of us sitting there, which was a bit off putting. But, after a bit of time, it was like being around old friends. Met with two local brothers who were a real hot to talk to. The only food I had was the cheese sticks, which are "world famous" and a bit too beer batter breaded for me, and some fried mushrooms. I am not as much of a fan of the horseradish dip, but your mileage may vary. As for drinks, the bushwhacker is what they are known for and it is quite tasty. They come out much thicker than most places and you can add a wide variety of toppers to customize. They also have a couple of pre-mixed drinks, the Island Girl and another I forget the name of (oops!). Both served in "buckets" (larger glasses that look like a small beach bucket). not sure if the glass is supposed to be a souvenir or not, but we did not take one with. The trick to Awedaddy's is GPS, as it is tucked away in a marina that you don't see until you are right up on it. Before you get there, you would swear you are in a residential area of the bustling metropolis (ha ha) of Gallatin. Once you are in, it feels like a completely different world. I don't live close, but I am sure I will be back at some point.

Nachos. A little sloppy but good taste. Could have been larger for the price.

If your looking for the gulf experience in Gallatin TN this is as close as your going to get. But it isn't it. We just had a couple appetizers and drinks. So i cant comment on the entrees.

Best Bloody Mary EVER!

Good food with a lake view. My wife had the shrimp and grits and said it was very good. I had the whitefish and it also was very good.

Is this wheelchair accessible?

Portions are. I think getting to the restroom would be a challenge. The main area would be easy for a wheelchair to gain access.

I started with a delicious rum cocktail and ordered the savory stroganoff mac and cheese, which was rich and satisfying. My son went with the kids' hot dog meal and enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere was a highlight--there's a great indoor-outdoor feel that really adds to the experience. Service was attentive, and everything was clean and well-kept. Overall, a really positive experience and a place I'd happily return to.

I expected fresh and flavorful --instead I got reheated and regretful! The fish and chips arrived dark brown, heavy, and dripping in oil. Not golden. Not crispy. Not fresh. This was unmistakably refried fish. The kind that looks like it was an abandoned order tossed back into the grease instead of cooked properly for the customer who ACTUALLY paid for it. Refrying doesn't make food fresh. It makes it lazy. Complements of the chef du jour! The fries tasted like they'd been lingering under a heat lamp, contemplating their life, choices. Disappointing, stale, and lifeless. And the coleslaw? Bless it. Overwhelmingly mayonnaise-forward with barely a whisper of vinegar and none of that classic celery seed brightness that gives southern slaw It's backbone. It wasn't terrible --just timid and forgettable. Which sadly was still better than the leftovers with ambition, refried fish and chips, I received. In conclusion, Fish and chips is simple comfort food but simple requires care. Fresh drop. Clean oil. Cook it once. Serve it hot. That's not a high bar. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but, I expected fresh and flavorful. I got reheated and regretful. I guess the cooking staff take Lazy Sundays literal!!
