This is the cheapest SNS dip nails I've found so far in Boston. It was $47 for regular dip and $54 with adding cats eye gel polish on top. I was very happy with how beautiful my nails came out! Definitely a no frills salon, which I don't mind. Only thing is that they did start to come off after 3+ weeks whereas other salons I've been able to have 6 week retention. Still good for the price, though, of course, I prefer for them to not come off till I have them removed. read more

I started using this salon in 2020 and love it. I almost always walk-in, and they always make time for me. The staff is helpful, funny, and kind-- each time I go we inevitably discuss our families or relationships with a smile. They've offered me bottled water on a very hot day. Most importantly, whatever stylist I see does an excellent and efficient job on my gel manicure or pedicure. Recently, I tried another salon and my gel manicure started to chip/break after one week. A gel manicure at Awesome Tan lasts at minimum two weeks, and sometimes longer. A gel pedi I've had look excellent for over a month or more. Second time they were not what I asked for and I went back to ask for some help reshaping (showed my picture for inspiration) and intended to pay again for the work and got aggressively talked down to by an employee. I can in for a mani-pedi. The pedicure was great! However, the manicure was not so nice, and it started chipping/peeling within hours because it was not neatly applied. I was also charged an extra $7, which I was not told about beforehand for a "special" polish I didn't even really want-- the woman pressured me to try a new color, said nothing about it's cost, and then when the bill came she explained that color was extra. Which, I actually think is illegal in Massachusetts-- you have to make the customer aware of any additional charges before you render the service-- there wasn't even a sign or marker. it felt pretty unfair, but i didn't have any fight in me so i just let it happen. I encourage you to double-check when they are asking you to use something different than what you asked for. I paid the price for a gel manicure but got a regular one because i used a "special" polish. read more

One of my favorite manicure salons. Brought some girlfriends here this evening on a whim and we were welcomed by the head lady in charge full of smiles encouraging us to get manis and pedis. They had 4 staff members on a Thursday night. What made their salon stand out from the rest along Beacon St. is their size- it's quite spacious. The front end of the salon is for manis while that back is filled with foot spa chairs. For gel manicures, they give you a basket full of swatches to pick from as they file down your nails, making the nail polish displays less crowded and overall a more efficient work flow. Their cuticle tools are all sealed and packaged giving you some peace of mind regarding their sanitation. They give you a nice hand massage at the end with a warm towel wipe down. Also included is a small water bottle at the the end. $25 for gel manicure. Very reasonably priced and love the little touch of appreciation with their bottle service. They have a rewards stamp system in place. 10 visits= 1 free manicure. Will come back for sure! read more

I made an appointment for today at 130pm with a specific manicurist and apparently there was a misunderstanding as they thought It was yesterday. i really didnt want to do this i went to this salon in freshman year untill beginning of junior year i got the supplies to do it myself and stoped going the apex of the acrylics are way to big and the nail tips they use are so curved i felt like an eagle the very tips were almost see thorough and bumpy at that the girl tried to put the blame on me that i hated my nails when she never said if you dont like the size we can take them off when she said she did the girl who im assuming is the manager said id be charged DOUBLE to get them off witch is absurd and the girl used the wrong color in my nails i luckly had the tools to take them off at home but i absolutely hated them and the total cost of my services was 100 dollars that 100 buck is down the trash literally i took them off the second i got home if i had the time and bandwidth id sue do not go here very disappointing very sad to see my old tried and true salon go downhill read more

I have received many recommendations for this spa and rightly so. I went for the first time 5 weeks ago for a dip manicure. There isn't a dip color that is a perfect shade of navy, so they made one for me and it turned out beautiful. I have always done either dip or gel manicures because they last much longer than regular polish for me; however, I've never had one last this long. My last dip manicure from another spa only lasted me 2 weeks before chipping or cracking or popping off. These are still in great shape (albeit need filling in!) and holding well to the nail. I'm very pleased with how they turned out and will be only going here from now on. Great people, great prices, and the best manicure! I got designs on my nails here twice (this past October and last month) and both times, details weren't paid attention to. The first time, squiggly lines were drawn on one of my nails that were facing the opposite way as the same nail on my other hand. The second time, I asked them to draw a heart on one nail on each of my hands like a French tip but they didn't curve the top part of one of the hearts enough so it didn't really look like a heart. They also put oil on my cuticles after they were done with my nails and while I was rubbing my hands together and about to get up from the chair I was sitting in, they said "I need the chair" because another customer was waiting. They couldn't even wait 10 seconds for me to get up. I have gotten regular pedicures and manicures, gel, and acrylic all so amazing. My acrylic lasts for a solid 3 weeks as long as I don't accidentally break a nail biking. Very mixed feelings. The price is more than amazing, but I guess you get what you pay for. I am attaching photos of how my nails looked when I first got them done, and them a couple days later, they literally changed color and now it looks very weird, to put it mildly. Some of my nails got fractures and chips, like you can see in the other photo, and on others the gel is literally peeling off. Not really sure what to do now, I obviously want to get them redone to get rid of this weird color but I don't think I should pay again since the job wasn't done well. The woman who did my nails was really nice and I definitely feel bad writing this review, but the fact is that my nails were done unprofessionally.
