I think initially I was very happy. Then my chrome started to fade so I went back the next day to get it redone and they were super sweet about it. Two days later it started to come off so I wouldn't go back.... Pretty disappointing . I feel like for the price and the fact it's peeling already speaks volumes. I worked with two different aestheticians who I won't mention because I don't want them to be affected but it's pretty upsetting to pay so much for this quality. I'm updating this review! I've been extremely busy and have unfortunately not been back in the area. BUT These nails lasted almost 7 weeks! Through various events I attended, working, doing dishes and other house work. It's rare for me to have nails last this long! I think due to the very light color I did see very thin lines that developed. But these weren't broken and were very much sturdy and intact. I hate to say this because I was initially excited to try this nail salon. But this is probably one of the worst manicures I have ever had. It seems they are great with doing trendy coffin nails...but anything else comes up short. I also did not really want a white base coat but they said it was what the manufacturer recommended. I had made the appointment for a gel removal followed by gel replacement but changed my mind when I noticed how soft my nails were and asked for a regular manicure due to my nails needing a breather. I was the told that they would still need to charge me for the gel nails even if I didn't do them due to the health of my nails. They seem to be more interested in making money than in the actual health of the nail. Since the photo was taken, even more polish has come off. I will not be returning for any fixes as I lost all trust. read more

Frustrating experience. I paid over $50 for a pedicure a week ago and it's already falling off. I contacted them to share the concern, as my pedicures have always lasted at least a month. They said "they cannot guarantee regular polish for 2 weeks". It was not even a full week before the polish started to come off as it was diluted. This is extremely frustrating to have spent this kind of money and for the salon to offer no solution. I have to say I am unsure how this place has received so many positive reviews! My guess is they either give discounts for reviews or they are fake. My daughter and I went in for a gel manicure (her), me a regular manicure and pedicure. To begin, if it wasn't for the positive reviews I would have trusted my first instinct when I walked in the door and left! I should have! The place was dirty! Dust and lots of clutter and deferred maintenance everywhere. This is not what you want to see when you go inside a nail salon. The ambiance was 1/10. Cleanliness (I even used bathroom), 2/10 (that's being generous). The gel manicure started chipping within 5 hours and by the next day, two of my daughter's nails were chipped and she also was developing dry skin on all her finger tips. I was told by another nail person that this means either two things, the tools were dirty or the nail tech left the acetone (to remove her prior set) too long. My daughter has regularly had gel manicures and she said they should last about 2-3 weeks, her lasted 5 hours then by day 5 most of her other nails had began to chip. Terrible! If it wasn't for the fact I did not trust this place, we would have e gone back for them to fix it. My manicure even though it was regular polish was chipping by day 4. The tools also did not come out of a sanitized package and to be honest I am wondering if they were even clean. Given the unkempt look of this place, I hate to think if they were not satirized. Stay away! Don't believe the reviews, this place needs to be reported to health organization. read more

My partner and I both had great experiences here with Tang and Lee. We booked online same day and we were in and out within an hour & 10 min. We both got regular mani & pedis. Tang was gentle and attentive to detail. She made sure I liked the color that I choose and to ask what shape I wanted. My pedicure was relaxing and my nails came out great. My boyfriend also had a great pedicure. Lee was really great with cleaning up my boyfriends cuticals and refreshing his nails. What drew me to this location was its cleanliness. I get really nervous when it comes to new nail salons, but this one lived up to my expectations. All tools are sanitized between each session, chairs are wiped down, and new plastic liners are used for the pedicure stations. The overall environment was inviting, clean, and relaxing. Booking was also very easy. My boyfriend and I booked separate appointments online within 10 minutes of eachother and they accommodated us by allowing us to go through the process together. We booked the morning of our appointment. They gave me a small punch card for 15% off after 10 appointments. I will definitely be back! read more

This is the single worst experience I have ever had with a nail salon. I booked an appointment nearly week in advance and then received a call an hour beforehand asking if I could come in 30 minutes later. I told them I could not because of a childcare obligation, but we agreed that I would come in 15 minutes later than my appointment time; a confirmation of the new time was emailed. When I got there, I ended up sitting there for 30 min; 45 minutes later than the time I booked. When a technician was asked by the owner to at least start on my nails, she balked. Ultimately I gave up and left. With so many nail salons in Brookline, these places need to realize that customer service is important. That includes honoring appointment times. Hands and heels failed in this regard. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
