I really couldn't believe how helpful the lessons were. The progress was great. I wouldn't trade the lessons for anything.

We love to swim!! Three years ago I did the baby & me class with my daughter and it was great…read morebonding time. My son hated it, guess it just depends on the kid. Now, my daughter is 4 and we are back twice a week! Obviously she did not retain anything, but we definitely did not have to start in that baby class again. The classes are kept small, the teachers are interactive and fun, and their program is fast paced. You're paying for lessons, not fun time - so I was glad to see that they pay close attention to the kids' progress so they can keep advancing them through the program to avoid dull, repetitive lessons. I get reports by email that tell me what she has accomplished. They do a great job of rewarding progress. I hope to send my son (now 2) as soon as he is out of his temper tantrum stage!

I would not recommend Emler Swim School. I sent 3 of my grandkids there this summer & I did not…read morefeel like I got my monies worth. Seems like the instructors are more focused in getting the lessons over with as quickly as possible & waste so much time fixing/messing with kids' goggles! If the kids get 15 mins of instruction, that's a lot. Scheduling is difficult bc there aren't a lot of options. AND they false advertised about their promotions. I was told I'd get a 50.00 credit for referrals & a sibling discount, which I got neither!! I have been asking for a refund for these credits since we started & my credit card had been charged. They kept telling me someone would reach out to through email & that has been a lie! So disappointed in this business. Look for other swim schools! I also read that their instructors are not certified.

TLDR: You're not going to find a better swim school than Blacktip in San Antonio…read more Blacktip stands out in the community, not just as a swim school, but as a beacon of quality and personalized care. We enrolled our 12-year-old son, who was okay at swimming, but showed some nervousness and trepidation in the water. With summer just around the corner and plenty of water-based fun in the forecast, we wanted him to glide through the water effortlessly and confidently, just like a blacktip shark. After exploring various options, Blacktip was the clear choice, especially suited for his age group. Encouraged by glowing reviews, we booked a trial lesson, and we were paired up with with Nolan, who has the keen insight and nurturing approach of a skilled swim coach. In just 30 minutes, Nolan assessed, coached, and elevated my son's swimming skills, making the lesson fun and engaging. He adapted the challenges to perfectly suit my son's abilities, transforming his tentative strokes into confident swimming. I was positively surprised to see that transformation in such a short period of time. After the lesson, we met Albert, the engaging and involved big kahuna, owner, leader, and instructor from Blacktip. He discussed our goals, shared insights from Nolan's assessment, and made signing up for additional lessons as smooth as swimming with the current. He even discussed what our goals were with the program, which impressed me a lot. This personalized attention is a rare find, in any business, and reflects Blacktip's dedication to each swimmer's success. To be clear: you just won't get that from any other school. I spoke with 5 swim schools, all nice enough on the phone -- but none that were interested in diverging from cookie-cutter approaches, except Blacktip. My son left the school buzzing with excitement about his progress and eager for his next lesson, a testament to the positive and supportive environment Blacktip provides. It was clear that children of all ages were thriving here, each benefiting from tailored instruction that meets them right at their level of proficiency. The facility itself is clean, well-organized, purpose-built, and perfectly designed for swim instruction, making it an ideal environment for learning and growth. Whether you're introducing your child to swimming or looking to enhance their aquatic skills, Blacktip Swim School is a fantastic choice, helping swimmers become as confident and graceful in the water as the blacktip shark.

I would have no problem recommending this school to others, especially to beginners. The team goes above and beyond to make newcomers and/or beginners feel welcomed and comfortable. Absolutely love all the instructors at Smart Barre. I've tried both their barre and Pilates…read moreclasses. Both wonderful but I ultimately decided on Pilates Reformer classes for my fitness goals. The reformer classes are a full body workout. Movements are slow and controlled but boy do you work every muscle in your body. Plus, the resistance on the machine ensures you're working it all and then some. I feel more toned and definitely stronger since I started with them. Plus, these classes really increase your flexibility. Absolutely loving it! These classes are also great for people with joint issues because it's low impact. And again, I have to give some love to the instructors. Working out is hard. Getting motivated to work out is harder. But when you come in bright and early in the morning to friendly instructors and a friendly classmates, it makes you want to keep on coming in. The instructors here are helpful, give great guidance and genuinely want you to succeed. Couldn't ask for a better workout community. Check it out if you haven't. They offer some first time clients great specials to help you figure out which classes are more your style.

It's only been about 12 hours after my class and I can already feel the soreness in my muscles, which means that it was definitely a good workout.
