I came in for a kitchen cabinet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I am so unprepared for things like this and didnt really know what I was doing. Kim and Diane were great in pointing us in the right direction and even offering solutions. The cabinet we needed was not in stock in the color we wanted and when we asked to see other options, we were pointed in the direction of the custom cabinet department. When we got there, we learned the staff for that department werent in on saturdays. Our only other option was to order the cabinet we needed in the color we wanted online and picked up at the store. So, limited selections at this home depot but the staff are really nice. the cabinet we needed was reasonably priced. Will have to be back for our cabinet but overall, not terrible. we also want to get some plants.

My children and I are loyal attendees of the monthly workshops, and they were particularly excited about the haunted house-building activity scheduled for October 4, 2025. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend on the scheduled date because my three-year-old son was sick. Incident Details Knowing how much my children enjoy these activities, I called your store on Sunday, October 5th, and was advised by a store associate to stop by the Customer Service desk to pick up the workshop materials for my two children. I made the significant effort to travel to the store via public transportation specifically to retrieve the kit so that my family could still enjoy building it together at home. Upon arriving at the Customer Service desk at approximately 5:30 PM, I was informed by the female manager on dutythat she "was not leaving this long customer service line to walk to the office for that". Even though there were several associates at multiple registers, she adamantly refused and was unwilling to assist, even after I explained that I had spoken to an associate who advised me to come by the store. I find this level of service completely unacceptable, especially after traveling to the store specifically for this purpose. I felt dismissed by a manager with what felt like a refusal to provide a basic level of customer accommodation. Follow-up on Monday On my way out, I stopped an associate named Odesa who turned out to be extremely helpful. She explained that the woman who had refused service was indeed the manager and would be the only one able to retrieve the workshop activity. However, Odesa promised that if I stopped by tomorrow, she would do her best to accommodate me. On Monday, October 6th, straight after work, I made my way back to the store. I found Odesa, and as she promised, she walked over to Customer Service to speak to the same young woman. While waiting, I could see and hear the black female manager and a young black man with red hair and matching red pants snickering and cackling as I waited patiently. When the manager finally got around to getting the workshop activity, she handed me one kit. I explained that I had two children. "Oh," she replied with an attitude, handing me another as she sneered. The manager's priority seemed to be avoiding a temporary inconvenience rather than upholding the promise of the workshop program and assisting a long-time customer. This conduct reflects poorly on this Home Depot location and honestly I have never had this experience at Hamilton or any other locations quite frankly. Request for Action The children's workshops are a wonderful community initiative, but the positive experience is negated when your management staff fails to demonstrate helpfulness or basic customer service. I request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to ensure that all staff, especially managers, are trained on proper customer service and problem-solving, particularly when a customer is following advice given by another store representative. Odesa went over and beyond in her efforts to assist me, and instead of being able to write a letter shining a light on her phenomenal customer service, the focus is unfortunately overshadowed by the incompetence and ineptitude of the manager. It is concerning that a regular associate was more resourceful and helpful than the management on duty.

When picking up the van, we didn't have a full tank of gas. However, on the receipt, we only drove four miles BUT we were charged for the refill of 9 gallons of gas and the total ended up being approximately $116.00 due to the inflated price of filling up the tank and the service charge of $30. However, having only drive four miles, this would've have been less than a single gallon of gas. To anyone looking to rent from this place, do take a photo of both the mileage and the tank of gas at the pickup and at drop off. Luckily, we have the mileage as well as their website which states how much mileage goes off a single gallon of gas so we have the credibility to dispute. I will say, this issue was easily resolved with an email to the company.

You have to verify on your own the gas mileage and the condition of the vehicle. If you don't take pictures, you are liable. The vehicle I picked up was boxed in so I had to call someone over to move vehicles out of the way so I could exit. The drop off process is easy. The person who helped me with my drop off said I would get an email with the receipt but I never did. It's better if you ask for a paper receipt.

The parking lot is dangerous. In 2023 I moved into a Brooklyn Condo that needed some serious upgrades. The kitchen was about 40 years old with half of the builder grade materials disintegrating before my eyes. After 2 years of saving up- it was time to do the renovation. We were told that the project should be done by the first week of April. Lowes has the full line of solid wood kraftmade cabinets and we decided to go with Lowes and their design services and install. We met our designer on zoom and she did great work and made sure everything was ordered. We knew what we wanted at the start so we didn't have much time needed debating products or finishes. Lowes designers have many clients and it can be hard to get a follow up appointment when they are working on simultaneous projects- they also have a monthly sales quota and your representative is thinking of that as they schedule their jobs. The design was finished by early December and everything was paid for and ordered by January. Some of that time was spent waiting for an estimator who did measurements. The cabinet estimator was incredibly professional. The flooring estimator couldn't care less about the job and completely missed a portion of the job in the estimate despite having a conversation with me about it. We were told that the ordered product needed to come in before any work could be scheduled. The cabinets came in mid February and than took up my entire living room and kitchen for 35 days because the that was the earliest appointment for the lowes flooring contractor after the cabinets were received. Their work looked very professional but the scheduling and estimating was just a poor experience. The cabinet installation was estimated to take 2 days, it took 6. The team did a professional job but argued about every detail the whole time. I think the cabinet team did great work and I felt they did their best. The countertop installer did great estimating and we're pleased with the results. The install team argued that the stone wouldn't fit after it was cut but there were no issues in the end and that was the smoothest process. The backsplash was the cheapest part of this project and ultimately the one that has led to this poor review. A new measurement appointment was needed for this portion of the project (even though they literally have measured everything and rebuilt from scratch at this point) which took considerable time on the contractors end to schedule. After waiting some considerable time after the measurement I was notified that the tile we wanted was out of stock and would arrive in two weeks and the work could begin. 2 weeks go by and the contractor calls me to schedule the job. Its now a month after this project was originally estimated to be totally completed- I'm on vacation and out of state. I call the contractor back the following day and I'm told that a bunch of dry wall needs to be replaced before the work can be completed and that this was discussed at the measurement appointment. I explain that this wasn't discussed and that if I need to replace something - to please send photos and a description of what needs to be done so I can hire someone else to do that since it was never discussed. The representative is super vague on what needs to be happen and for whatever reason tells me she can't send photos or a description and that I have to call lowes back. I ask if we can just get a date to schedule since it took so long last time and I'll have this done before the appointment. They say they can't schedule anything until they have updated photos but that they have appointments available next week. I'm confused and I call lowes. Lowes has a policy that they generally won't follow up on issues earlier than 2 business days. After 3 phone calls to lowes and 6 business days, I was sent photos of our entire kitchen. I'm now frustrated and I patch anything that looks even a little out of place and they seemed to think that was adequate. My install appointment is scheduled for 6 weeks out. I get confirmation texts leading up to my appointment including the day before. The morning that the tile should be installed- I get a call from lowes- the store can't find all of the tile that was ordered. They have to reschedule. I inquire if there's any way to get tile from any of the other 4 lowes within a 30 minute drive from me and I'm told that they don't know- and they'll get back to me in 2 business days. I ask if they can just do a portion of the tile today since they had 75% of the material and a huge part of the area we had was behind the fridge. They say no because they couldn't reach anyone at the store. I got on the subway, canceled the install service and installed the tile myself today and still have tile left. The estimator overestimated. I could go on.
