This is our 2nd trip to Axe & Bull. FUN, FRIENDLY & OH SO FUN. The owner is laid back, easy to talk to and experienced. Bring your own, food, drinks & good vibes. Tried this place out on a Saturday night with the family and I highly recommend it ! We found a groupon last minute and thankfully they still had a slot available for later on that night for a reservation for seven people. ( I recommend calling if you aren't able to figure out the groupon code like myself in order to make a reservation online) oh don't forget to sign the waivers online to avoid wasting time when you get to the place. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation time, were taken to our axe area pretty fast, the instructor went over a few safety rules first and then gave us a few tips & tricks...he was definitely very helpful, he didn't just leave us to figure things out on our own, he actually made sure to come around every so often, if he saw someone was struggling he would make sure to point things out that would help until we got the hang of it. It definitely gets easier as your keep trying over and over again. We didn't bring any beer or wine because it was a last minute plan however next time we will! They also have a few games that you can play to make things more fun and interesting .. this is something that no matter the event you will have fun (no little kids though) We will be back soon! read more

I took my sister and husband to Axe and Bull tonight as a part of my sister's Christmas present this year. The guy working was awesome! He went over the safety rules and then let us start throwing. I struggled to get the hang of it at the beginnings,, so he came over to show me some pointers. He gave us some great tips on how to throw as well as different games we could play like tic tac toe. I wasn't sure I would like axe throwing, but I had a great time! I quickly got the hang of it and started hitting some bullseye. I was a little concerned about whether I could physically do it since I have joint issues and I am still regaining strength after a broken patella. He helped me modify my stance so I could throw comfortably while still maintaining accuracy. We had a great time and will definitely be returning! read more

Super Fun and Easier Than I Expected This is a real fun place. My wife and I have never thrown an axe before and within the hour we were actually playing games against one another. Our "Ax-pert" Cameron was low-key but instructive. He gave us the safety info and specifics about how to get started throwing and sticking the axes properly. We soon caught on. He also tended to a larger crowd on the other side of this indoor range and came back to check on us often. In addition to the axes, he soon delivered a pair of throwing stars (see pic) with instructions on how to throw and stick those, too. He showed us how to keep score with the point denominations indicated on the board. Bullseyes are worth 6 points. We played 21 and a couple of rounds of Tic Tac Toe. This was a fun first time adventure. My wife and I got here on a Saturday afternoon and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Can was our pro and trainer and he was great. This was my second time coming to this location and I loved it!!! Had so much coming here again, honestly. The staff is amazing and I love that he took his time to teach me how to swing the axe, he should definitely be a cheerleader motivational speaker on the side Lol no seriously, he gives you such confident after teaching you. The owner is also very nice as well, came in a large group of 9 and everyone had a blast, the first time I came it was just me and someone else, I had so much fun that time that I decided to invite more people. Very clean and organized business. Had never been axe throwing before and wanted to try something new. The employees working made it a great experience. Rather than just giving us an axe and having us "go at it." He gave us pointers, instructions, and fundamentals of axe throwing. As you're throwing he'll give you more pointers and joke around a little. Even showed us a few games we could play! It is BYOB and food which is what I prefer anyways. This is a fun activity as long as you are okay with the loud noise, and people wielding sharp tools! We were the first group to arrive (on time) our time slot, and had wait 15 minutes for the last group to arrive late before getting our directions. It is VERY close quarters and you have to be vigilant of the groups next to you because axes go everywhere - especially when the people admit they had been out drinking ahead of time and were clearly inebriated... I'm giving two stars because the group of friends I was with were a blast. Past that, the noise level was higher than expected, the bathroom was out of order (they had, however, brought in a port-o-potty that you had to go out behind the building to use), the place was smaller than expected (prepare to rub shoulders with the groups next to you), and the hostess was so far beyond rude that we all found ourselves hating her by the end of the night. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know. But rather than offering constructive help to us (sorry we're not axe-throwing experts!), she just got snarkey and obnoxious (repeatedly... for 90 minutes)... to the point where I won't be back simply because of her. I was looking for something to do with my son and stumbled across Axe & Bull. We thought we would try it out. While there were no hours listed on the web site Vito responded quickly to my call and said they were open from 12 PM to 11 PM and to come on over.
