I totally love this place I came with a HUGe group to celebrate my gf Birthday and it was a blast we arrived a bit early to enjoy happy hour special but not so we couldn't function as we begin throwing our sharp axes!! Food and drinks are served by Ferg's and the fans outdoors kept us cool and the cage between booths gave us a few jumps but totally keep axes in their safe zones !!

You get to ring the bell when you hit a bulls-eye.

Fun! The host and support staff were very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beer and food. We were there for a party so had limited throwing time but it was new to me and I'll definitely come again. Take note: it's an outdoor space. Great in the winter but will be hot in the summer. Dress appropriately!

Came for a work bonding event and had such a good time. Michelle is a doll and made it such an enjoyable experience! An hour, drinks + food and so much fun! A really fun environment and not crowded! Highly recommended!

We had so much fun! We were there for a reserved birthday party for a group of close to 30 people. Michelle was awesome behind the bar and with the axe throwing. She took her time and made it fun showing us how to properly throw the axes different ways. The other bartender was great and we all had an awesome time. Definitely recommend!

Ventured out from south Tamp tonight over to St Pete & found Axe & Ale. What a GREAT place!! It's attached to Fergs (down the steps in back-walk down there for everything). Watched a few football games, talked w/ a lot of down to earth folks, had some good food & drinks, & threw axes!! It was a BLAST!! It is VERY safe the way the lanes are designed & enclosed, & supervised to ensure safety of all participants. Lane rentals are the best I've found in the Tampa area ($60 an hour for up to 8 ppl & everything is provided). The owner, Michelle, was very friendly & helpful!!! She showed me how to throw the axes & ensured the wooden targets were maintained. I will definitely be back & already going to plan a group get together as a morale event. Highly recommend going & checking this place out for good food & drinks, watching sports on tv, throwing axes, & hanging out!! Ax Throwing, Ax Throwing Bar, Axe Throwing, Axe Throwing Bar

OMG I can't even rate this as much as I want to. I would give then 10 stars if I could. I booked this after seeing it on the news for my husband's 40th birthday. I booked both lanes for 2 hours and we had about 30 people go. I worked with Michelle and she was phenomenal! She helped me with everything, got me the waiver for our friends to sign early, she helped me order food in advance and had tables set up with everything. They even decorated for the birthday theme, we had our own bartender for that side of the bar and she was just the cutest and so good! Everyone ended up throwing and they kept going back (even the girls who said they wouldn't!) We just had the best time ever, I wish we had one closer to us, but we will go back for sure. This would be a great spot for team building for work or parties or just plain fun. We had a blast, and my husband was so excited! Thank you for such great memories

Where else can you have a beer, watch sports, throw an axe at a target, then head over for a Rays game.

We finally checked out Red Thread and it was delicious!…read more Great ambiance (both indoors and their outdoor courtyard, can't go wrong with either option) that fits the "silk road" vibe, with awesome food and friendly service. We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.

Bar Mezzo is a concept from the owners of intermezzo. At some point intermezzo got so popular,…read morethere just wasn't enough space for everyone, specifically at night. The concepts are similar, but not quite the same. Bar Mezzo is more cocktail forward, although it houses some of the same cocktails featured at intermezzo, including espresso based cocktails. It has one of the few espresso martinis in town that feature fresh brewed espresso. One of the best things about this bar is that it focuses on the art of cocktail making and features the bartenders as artisans. Every employee is the epitome of top of the line hospitality. Each cocktail on the menu is unique and you won't find it replicated locally. The menu is seasonal, so you can always try something new. It's the kind of place where you can say to the bartender "I'm feeling something gin based, maybe something blackberry flavored" and they will make you a unique cocktail based on what you're feeling, even if you don't know exactly what you want. During the month of December, they hold "miracle at mezzo"- a Christmas themed pop-up that was previously hosted at intermezzo. During the cooler months, weekends and during the Christmas popup, it's gets extremely crowded, sometimes forming a line out the door. Depending on the weather, they will open up the front garage style door for more standing space. You should expect a 30-37$ tab for two cocktails, or maybe 15-18$ if you catch a happy hour special.

Love love the Christmas drinks. It's so festive, they have a tree and lots of lights. The drinks…read moreare great prices and I always get the peppermint drink. All the drinks are strong but yummy.
