My wife and I flew out to every family event and every time we could tell that this staff was dedicated to our child and the kids there, loved the staff. A lot of tears by both parties was always shed. The school Will challenge your young adult and they WILL NOT like it! This was the third treatment center I had ever been to and it was traumatizing. Even though I had a…read moredocumented diagnosis over obsessive compulsive disorder, the staff some misdiagnosed me with schizophrenia and had my adhd prescription taken away, which made my OCD sky rocket. This place claimed to be able to treatment mental health as well as substance abuse, but that was a lie, at least while I went there. My mental illness was completely overshadowed, and staff did not interfere when the girls who were there for substance abuse made fun of my mental illness since I was the only one there for just mental health. I was alone and unmedicated thousands of miles away from my family at 19. Finally, toward the end, my parents noticed fraudulent chargers on there account from the treatment center, and when my parents tried to pull me, the staff simple said "why pull her? She'll just have to restart at a new treatment center". The second I came home and saw my primary psychiatrist, he put me back on my old medication and was very confused at the schizophrenia diagnosis. I've had a lot of traumatic stuff happen in my 17 years of mental illness, but this place messed me up bad. Don't go there, especially for mental illness help.

I emailed your company yesterday, and I got a call back almost immediately, the lady I spoke with…read moreyesterday was so kind and understanding about my situation, I mean she was super sweet, the entire conversation..and she told me your company would love to help me and that she had spoken with the director and everything looked good, and that they just wanted to cover the insurance bases, and told me she would check to see if my insurance covered what I needed (in home mental health therapist on occasion) and if my insurance didn't cover it or didn't cover all of it, she said I would get a call back to go over fee schedules and how often I can be seen and such.. I hung up feeling nervous but happy that I would finally be getting the help that I need. And then I get a call today from a completely different person (made me feel as though she was talking down to me, complete 180 from the lady I spoke with yesterday) claiming that you guys don't deal with Medicare at all, she asked if I had other insurance and since I don't, that was the end of the conversation, and she wouldn't even go over any other cash payment options.. Maybe people like me who are mentally ill wouldn't be so sick if there were more companies out there that were willing to help us out. How dare you assume that I can't pay cash so you just won't work with me. I guess it's better that I don't deal with a company like that anyways. Thank you for making a bad day that much worse. And thanks again for absolutely NOTHING. I will be leaving feedback on every networking sight that I can to get the word out that your company only cares about children with problems and the adults like myself, who genuinely need help too, can just rot apparently (their website also states they work with adults too, not just children, AND in my original form I sent in, I explained that I'm a 37 year old woman)... Also, it states right on your website that you take both Medicaid and MEDICARE. Which I have Medicare, and it also states you offer in home services... So maybe rather than lying to people on your site, take that information down instead of giving people false hope that they might actually get the help they need!

The therapists are top notch- Katie, Kiera, Alex, Sara, Austin, Keanan. All are very good at trauma work. The mentors (behavior health techs) are also amazing. They actually care about the clients. Ones of note are Dante, Obama, Chelsea, Rebecca, and Ricky. They listen to concerns and try to make the best decisions for each client. Like all facilities, some clients will not like the rules, but they will actually listen to your concerns. Shaun in admissions is supportive and amazing.

Always willing to sit and talk, give sound advice with care and concern an authentically genuine person who has experience with over coming addiction. Mrs. Nichole as well was mentor who truly helped with a jovial disposition and true love for people and wanting to see them heal. Sharing appropriately her journey though addiction and consequent steps into continued recovery. During my time I was able to start to trust my counselor Austin and start the process of going though past trauma. I checked myself in to Journey Healing Center in the summer of 2013 during the height of a manic…read moreepisode & my alcoholism fueled by the anxiety and pleasure seeking behavior inherent in a manic episode. I was seen by therapists and an in-house doctor and guided by selfless volunteer helpers as well as my peers. I stayed mostly sober for a couple years after Journey then had a major life change and went back out for a couple more years, then I found myself back on the path of sobriety. If it wasn't for Journey there's no way I would have decided to keep heading towards a sober and peaceful life. Today I can proudly say I am 11 months sober and looking forward to my first full year sober. (I've basically sober for a few years - with a few slips here and there). But this is my longest consecutive stint. Journey catapulted me down this path of sobriety, it was upon entering Journey that I first made the decision that I was going to do this thing for real. I may not have gotten it right away but all the tools I learned during my stay are what I used to get me to where I am today and I remember the staff like family. The rooms are so beautiful, the beds are elegant and so comfy with high quality amenities and the food is excellent. The grounds were magical. I loved everything about my stay. I met my best friend for life at Journey. After our time there we kept in contact, we started dating then took a couple years apart to work on our own paths... and one day he got me back, we dated for a bit longer then he brought me to the back of journey - where we first met in the summer of 2013, it was now all covered in snow, I didn't recognize it at all, it was the day after thanksgiving 2020... He surprised me in the middle of winter, it was closed down at this time, once I took off the blindfold and recognized where he had brought me he proposed, in the exactl places we were when our eyes first met and now we are happily walking the path of sobriety as a married couple!!! The…read moretherapists are amazing; they do a great job of including real world experiences into their treatment. I did find it very disturbing that one of the male line staff was dating a female patient (and did not do a good job at hiding his jealousy anytime she was shown any attention). It does make me very curious if there is anything else unethical going on that isn't so obvious.
