I would definitely consider myself a regular. Love their sandwiches and bakery items. The best part about this restaurant is their amazing and friendly staff. Everyone is just so nice and willing to help/answer any questions you have. The bakery is very relaxing so you could definitely get some work done if that's your cup of tea. The only negative I must comment on is that their sandwiches sit under a heated lamp so their bagels can get a bit soggy. P.S. order online as soon as the bakery opens because they do sell out very quickly. Especially on the weekends!

I had been meaning to come here for while, so when I finally got around to it after a hike with my boyfriend last weekend, I bought a number of things - both sweet and savory. My favorite was the quiche and the focaccia muffin; my boyfriend loved the cookie filled with peanut butter and chocolate. They were so flavorful! Next time, I want to get there early enough to get a cinnamon roll and a cannoli.

Pretty amazing for a vegan eatery. The desserts were out of this world (texture, taste). I'd say stick to desserts and skip the sandwiches (which were fine but tasted a little like morningstar?) Definitely get the maple chai. After all, you are in Maplewood. Crème brûlée donut has an awesome brûlée glaze and we're delicately sweetened

Get the whoopie pie, it's divine! What a cute boho bakery. Friendly, welcoming staff, lots of vegan treats, wifi and tables. I'll pass on the donuts but will be back for the whoopie pie. It was delicious. The iced lavender latte was lovely. They give you a choice of soy, oat or almond. Having 3 dairy free options is wonderful. Plus they're pricing is fair. Parking is plentiful on side streets and they have power outlets at most of the tables. Dogs and friends congregated outside where they had 2 outdoor tables.

Still being a bit stand offish about anything vegan, I was pleasantly surprised after a couple visits to Yellow rose. Seeing the line in my last visit helped me see that others must see something good too. As the name states, everything in the bakery is vegan. Even the drinks, so no whole milk here if that's what you normally like, like me. I find it impressive though and some of the goods are pretty nice. I shared a bakery box on both visits, but the latest visit it contained cheddar jalapeño biscuits and jelly donuts. I don't know exactly what were in them, but they are pretty good for being vegan made. Had a coffee with oat milk, which wasn't bad either. What is nice about Yellow Rose is that you can get things a la carte, you don't have to get a box of things, in case you don't want to commit to a bunch of goods. They cater and have nationwide shipping in case something is so good, you can have it sent to your friend in Idaho. Everything is gluten free, so if that is also a diet restriction you have to mind, rest easy. The cafe is a decent size. About 14 people can fit and on nice days tables are outside. The staff are all very nice, rounding the cozy cafe mark it's making by coming to the area. It is between both South Orange and Maplewood Villages, so those who live in its vicinity needn't worry about making the trip to town for a bake bite and hot drink.

Found this place on instagram and decided to give it a try! I wanted to gift my friend who is fully vegan with some vegan baked goods and this was the perfect place. It's is very nice and cozy, the staff was friendly and helpful and the ambience was very comforting. A small cafe but you can truly feel the warmth and comfort of it. I purchased a box with 7 different treats varying from scones to muffins to cookies. They were all very tasty and all different so that made it very enjoyable. Can't wait to be back fore more.

First time here! Sandwiches sell out so quiche (my 2nd choice) is now my first choice!!!! I love this quiche and cannot believe how well it is replicated. It is genius! Donuts my guilty pleasure in life! The Birds Nest Donut is delicious and so pretty! You probably know preparing Vegan is skill, labor love and actual talent which Vegan Rose does deliciously!

Came in looking for something sweet, but nothing looked super appetizing. We got an Apple cider donut anyway, since it's the season, and it was a bit too cakey for my liking but it did taste like apples so that was nice.

I really love how this place is 100% vegan. The cafe is located on an adorable street. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Helpful staff. The taste of the cookies/pastries are amazing. Good variety of pastries offered to make a pretty box for any special occasion or just a Sunday with family. The Breakfast sandwiches are pretty good too. Will be returning to try more items!!

I wanted to give this spot a try because I love vegan treats. When I arrived I was hoping they would still be open because no one answered when I called. I parked on the street nearby and luckily they were still open. I walked in and was greeted by two nice young ladies. I asked what some of the items were made with but they had no clue and said they would have to call the baker. I went with the "stuffed" chocolate chip cookie which they said was stuffed with peanut butter and it came to $4. I paid and left. When I got home I warmed it up and ate and there was no peanut butter inside like she said. Don't get me wrong it was good but I was looking forward to the peanut butter. I had an ok experience.

This place is a local gem. Great drinks and vegan baked goods and breakfast items. Everything taste really good and it's vegan so you can't loose! Ive tried numerous things from there. I had the lavender lemonade, cinnamon roll, peanut butter cup cookie, cheddar biscuit and Earl grey scone. My favorite Is the lemonade & the peanut butter cup cookie. I recommend putting the cookie in the microwave for approx 20secs

Jelly donut, Boston creme, cinnamon roll And cookie dough !

If you haven't been here you are missing out. Everything we got was delicious and this is from two non-vegans. Their desserts are honestly amazing! We got a cinnamon roll, jelly donut, cookie dough donut and a Boston creme! Every single thing was good and can't wait to come back for more. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Yellow Rose is one of my new favorite bakeries in NJ! I've found some of the most unique flavor combinations in their donuts, scones, loaves and more. I'm equally as excited to get my favorite (peanut butter cup stuffed choc chip cookie) as I am to try something new. Vegan pork roll egg and cheese?! Come on!! I'm not vegan but I do have many food restrictions, including gluten and dairy intolerance. Their gluten free options are delicious, plentiful, and allow me to indulge my sweet tooth without any discomfort! They're not just replacing ingredients for their vegan counterparts, they're improving upon existing recipes to amaze you every time. Not only are the pastries to die for, there's much to be said about the wonderful staff. The counter servers are excited (never condescending) to fill you in on their vegan specialties, which non-dairy milks they offer, and how their options fit within your diet/allergies. And they are a very welcoming space for queer folks! This is a business that cares about its customers above all. Once, I asked on their social media if they would have s'mores donuts the following day when I planned to visit. When I arrived, Caitlyn had put a donut aside specifically for me because they'd run out of ingredients to make a large batch! They're ready to make a recommendation and go the extra mile to make sure your sweet or drink are exactly what you wanted. It's also a great excuse to visit Maplewood, which has an adorable downtown and a very welcoming environment.

I'm not usually in this area but recently I was in Union and I needed to pick some groceries really…read morequick and this was the closest supermarket. As I drove up to the supermarket I realized I had passed it before and found it interesting. This is perhaps the smallest ShopRite I've been to in quite some time. It really looks like this was originally a small neighborhood market that has been renovated over the years. The most recent renovation looks very recent, probably in the last few years. The sign is very shiny and new, the exterior is super clean and the interior is bright with a lot of the new lighting that ShopRites everywhere have been installing. That said, the store is smaller than say Garwood or Linden so expect smaller aisles and tighter turns as you navigate your cart through the store. Item selection was unexpectedly good. I find as a chain of supermarkets ShopRite locations vary in their stock. I figured with such a relatively small space they would have to limit their stock to the only a handful of brands but the selection was nice. For instance, they had about five or six different brands of peanut butter and a good selection of items in their Asian sauce section. The produce also looked nice and fresh. On top of all that I was impressed by their selection of items like Beyond Meat and Impossible Burgers. I did not really interact with the staff other than checking out. No one was particularly friendly but they weren't *unfriendly* either, just very neutral. This was not the best ShopRite ever, but I enjoyed the visit and it's good to know if I'm in the area I can pick something up here.

Despite the long overdue upgraded space inside this ShopRite, unfortunately, they continue to…read moredisappoint by not having as many options as the bigger stores. Still a convenient stop if you're in the area, but something as simple as Sun Chips (for example) not being available just makes no sense to me. It happens a lot, which is why I no longer frequent this location. Customer service is not very helpful either. They seem to not have any answers to any questions.
