He is a true professional and stands behind his work. We had 23 sprinkler heads replaced and Tony came by with a really fair offer and showed up when he said he would. The work was done in just a few short hours and he went above and beyond. Tony identified a drip line issue, a sprinkler head that should be moved to another spot, and a tree that needed to be trimmed. He did all three on his own at no charge! My lawn looks fantastic with an even spread. A few weeks later, one of the sprinkler heads snapped and he came by same day and replaced them no charge! We appreciate that he was on time, built solid forms and even suggested additional drainage improvements. The finished result is better than that of a previous contractor. That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Raquel (Solea Landscapes) listened carefully and designed a beautiful yard, complete with 3D renderings so we could really envision her ideas in our space. They worked with us, even inviting us to shop with them for pots and plants. Steve and Awaken Landscapes did an amazing job in executing her design. Jose and his crew were quick, efficient, and cheerful. They responded positively to our every request, and they kept the job site clean and neat, even with all the mud from February's downpours. Extremely disappointed -- 2 1/2-year-old walkway already failing…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Living Elements Landscape. They installed a flagstone walkway at my home, and it is only 2 1/2 years old, yet it has already developed significant problems. The Gator Dust used between the flagstones has repeatedly washed out, leaving the walkway deteriorating year after year. There are now loose flagstones, uneven areas, and sections that have become a serious tripping hazard. I contacted Living Elements Landscape and gave them the opportunity to correct the problem. Instead of standing behind their workmanship, I was told they would not fix it because the project was outside their one-year warranty. They offered only $300 toward finding someone else to repair it, despite the condition of the walkway. What I found particularly concerning was the response when I indicated that I may have to pursue the matter further. I was told that if I took them to court and lost, they would sue me for their legal fees. I found this response extremely troubling when I was simply trying to get a 2 1/2-year-old walkway with loose and shifting flagstones addressed. This is not just a cosmetic issue. The walkway is unsafe, and I should not have to worry about someone tripping because of loose flagstone on a relatively new installation. I hired a professional landscaping company expecting quality workmanship and a company willing to address problems with its work. Instead, I feel I have been left with a deteriorating walkway and the expense of finding someone else to correct it. If you are considering hiring Living Elements Landscape, I strongly recommend asking very specific questions about their installation methods, materials, warranty, and what happens if the work begins failing shortly after the warranty expires. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Living Elements Landscape and would not hire them again. UPDATE: Living Elements has responded to my review, but several statements in their response are inaccurate. The walkway was completed in March 2024, not over three years ago. They also state that they returned multiple times; in fact, they returned once during the one-year warranty period to address low spots in the joints. The current issue is loose and moving flagstones, cracked and washed-out joints, and a resulting tripping hazard. I also disagree with the characterization that the current condition is simply the result of drainage. If drainage was a concern, that should have been properly addressed when the walkway was installed or a reasonable corrective solution should have been provided.
