I had an incredibly pleasant experience with Advanced Pavers on our backyard project. I worked with Lucy throughout the project with honest communication, attention to details, and listening to our concerns about living in a new community with HOA regulations. Once the project started, Lucy & her Crew explained what was happening and provided a timeline for the project. We had a Retaining Wall, Pet Turf area, Putting green/fringe, a main turf area, and concrete walkways put in. We did however had a synthetic turf issue where the turf had imperfections on it, (not caused by Advanced Pavers), Lucy & Edgar handled it professionally working with the manufacturer, the issue was remedied quickly. Advanced Pavers recently completed a four-week renovation of our front and back yards. We were extremely pleased with their work from beginning to end. Lucy was our designer as well as our project manager. We initially reached out to four companies for bids. Since we were totally redoing our yards there was a lot for us to learn about the possible choices and what would work best for our yard. Lucy was extremely patient with us, providing input and helping us work through getting to what we feel was an outstanding solution. Her 3D designs really helped us to envision the final product. Some of the companies we had contacted just wanted us to go with their proposed solution rather than listen to what we wanted. Our interaction with Lucy really sold us on the fact that Advanced Pavers was the correct choice for us. Once the project began, Lucy came by daily to check progress, give the team guidance as needed, and answer any questions we might have. Along the way, as the solution came together, we realized there were some changes we would like that would make the final product even better. We got the extra scope added to the project and Advanced Pavers still finished the project on schedule. I attached some pictures along with the review. We wanted to get the new patio and retaining wall in place before adding more features (water fountains, etc.) so in the future as we add those elements the work that was done will stand out even more. Do not engage with this company if you value professionalism and communication. We corresponded with Lucy for HUNDREDS of emails and she eventually ghosted us. Calls, emails, phone calls, voicemails... she wouldn't respond to any of it. Let me be very clear in that our communication shouldn't have required this much back and forth. We would send bulleted emails with a handful of questions and Lucy would answer 1 or 2 of them, ignore the rest, and introduce a new half-explained variable so we would have to follow up on our initial questions and ask new questions related to the new variable and the cycle would repeat. My wife got so fed up with this cycle that she wanted to cancel the project entirely. I offered to take over and quickly learned that the communication was even worse than my wife said it was. Lucy would also send us to the tile/rock vendors on our own with no guidance as to product recommendations. She also made several promises to drop turf/tile samples at our house and never did. Not helpful at all. To make matters worse, I called the main office and spoke to their receptionist to express my concerns. I asked to have my project reassigned to another rep and they said I would be contacted. 1 week later, no call back. I called again to follow up and they said their manager would call me. 1 week later, still no answer. This cycle repeated two more times and I have yet to receive a call. I've never had to try so hard to give a company over $30,000 only to be ignored. If this is how unresponsive they are before I've written a check, I can't imagine how hard it would be to get ahold of them after they've cashed my check if I needed any warranty support down the line! I share this experience with you all in the hopes to save you a great deal of frustration and time. Save yourself the frustration. There are plenty of businesses that actually care about their customers--this isn't one of them. read more

This is the best landscaping company that I've worked with. Edgar & Lacey came over on a wet day to look at front and backyard in their muddy shoes. She is the reason, ultimately, that we chose this company. I have read other reviews that mention Lucy, and they are absolutely spot on their praise. Lucy not only offered sound advice and design suggestions, consistent follow up, and the ability to communicate ideas, she was also enormously PATIENT. This job is likely to be about $30K, and it represents a significant expense, one that we have saved up for for at least 15 years. We can't say enough good things about Edgar (and his team). They've truly gone above & beyond on our project & we're completely satisfied with the work they've done. The quick breakdown: Communication / Responsiveness - 5 stars Flexibility to Work with Our Needs - 5+ stars Quality of Work Overall - 5 stars The longer story: We moved to the area in Jan 2021 and had concrete laid down in our backyard by a previous contractor. Left unsatisfied, we researched other companies with the idea to expand on the project by recreating our front and backyard. We ended up choosing a company that left us hanging for 6+ months (when they promised to start work 2 months post signing the contract) and at this point we were fed up with waiting without a start date in sight... Thankfully, we were introduced to Edgar at Advanced Interlocking Pavers and they knocked it out of the park. And while it's not about the quickness/timing of it, they managed to complete the project (front and back) within two weeks! Edgar was also very communicative throughout; we knew which days they would come to work, etc. In the back, we now have beautiful pavers (instead of our previous concrete), turf for our dog, putting green turf for bocce and mini golf, and rocks for our future garden area. In the front, we've replaced our concrete porch with pavers, leveled out a portion by elevating our yard with a retaining paver wall & steps, added more turf for our dog, and more rocks (same as the backyard) to surround the existing plants/tree. Through it all, they were in constant communication, made sure to cap all the existing irrigation, and added drainage that linked up to the home builder's existing setup. It's the little things that count just as much. We would highly recommend Edgar and his team & look forward to working with them, again, for future work. read more

My efforts of trying to save a diseased tree in my front yard for a couple of years was unsuccessful and therefore the tree had to be removed and stump grinded out. Along with that step i decided to redo the front landscape almost entirely to be drought tolerant and little to no maintenance. Contacted the company online and they promptly responded. Lucy came and mapped out the design while actually listening to what i wanted. I ended up deciding on a slightly different design and asked her to come out again...no hesitation. The tear out and installation crew were awesome in spite of the remaining tree roots being a total nightmare. there were a couple minor communication issues about scheduling but the bottom line is im so happy with the result and would not hesitate to use this company again! Lacy came to our home for a backyard landscaping quote and she seemed knowledgeable as she walked the backyard & during our discussion of options for hardscape,landscape. She told us she would get back to us within 2 days with a quote. Also we told her that we needed 3 references & she agreed. Problem arose with references in that Lacy only provided 1 person to contact. When asked for more, she refused due to "privacy" reasons & that Yelp reviews along with her portfolio should be adequate. We found this unusual in that other landscapers readily provided numerous references. We called the office & they provided a few names & ph#'s, seemed odd that there was a disconnect between the "office" & Lacy. We drove by the homes and a house on 55th St only had patches of artificial grass, a vinyl picket fence & a few small shrubs. Another address in Folsom, with very impressive hardscape turned out to be Lacy's own home! One other address had fairly good pavers but the mortar wasn't the best nor were the plants. Lacy never reached back to us, another thing that seemed very unusual. Needless to say, we went with someone else. read more
