I have been coming here for over a year now so this review is long overdue. I've probably been to all the nail techs here but Mimi is who I go to now and no one else. Mimi is the best of the best!!! She is always on time and never goes over an hour and I don't know how she does it but my nails last FOREVER and I have a toddler. They did a FANTASTIC job with my daughter's nails. When I called to book an appt, I was told it was a $15 mani / pedi for her (I clarified that it was both because I was shocked!). I did not double check pricing with the nail tech day of because I had double checked when booking my appt. I was shocked when it was time to pay and my total was $45; I was told I shouldn't have gotten her feet submerged in water or a "massage" done if I wanted to pay $15, which was just for polish. I felt like that was a little unfair (and frankly, sneaky) because I wasn't asked if I wanted these "extras" done nor was I told it was more. And it was $15 for a mani and $15 for a pedi, not both, which I had specifically clarified on the phone. (A woman answered the phone, and we had a male tech day of, so I'm confident they were different people.) Either way, my daughter's experience was wonderful. They have a special chair for little girls, took their time and made her feel special. I just wish they were more upfront and fair about their pricing because I KNOW my daughter would love to come back more often! read more

Took my daughter to get our nails filled. Regular Acrylic fills are shown to be $32 plus a $5-$7 for French design. I had mine painted with three different colors which they charged me $1 for each color, so that's another $3 & daughter had a very basic French manicure. Let's do the math together: 32 + 32 + 7 + 3 = 74...yet I was charged $94!!!! The prices are stated not only online but also in the shop. I tried multiple times to tell them I was overcharged and they wouldn't hear it. Stay away from this place!! read more

WORST NAIL SERVICE OF MY LIFE I patronize another local establishment today as my normal salon was closed and it was as close to an emergency as you can get we nails. It took almost 45 minutes to be seated with a tech, and then he couldn't figure out how to do the green to orange ombré I requested. I was told the only way to achieve it was with dip powder... an up charge we never requested. My normal salon has no issue with this simple request. then the tech proceeded to do something I have not seen before... He used the activating liquid and turned the dip powder into acrylic and applied it as if he was applying a nail fill in. We are not familiar with dip, but I have never even seen it applied in such a fashion. And I don't think it is a suitable alternative for a fill with a typical gel powder. we tried to let the techno over and over that he should stop because it wasn't working, he just kept going. We had to tell him 4+ times to stop using the grinder on my cuticles. I cannot believe what a terrible experience this was. And to add insult on injury, I am fairly certain I was overcharged because the price was absolutely insane. Far and away more than I typically pay for 1/2 the finished product. Save yourself, go elsewhere. read more

After 7 years, they have lost my business. My regular person for 7+ has left the shop. I told them I would give them a try as long as they promised I'd get someone good. I showed up at my appointment time and was told that it would be 20 minutes to get the new person that I wanted because the person ahead of me decided to change their minds and add a pedicure on with their manicure. I go there expecting to start at a certain time ... I made an appointment... And a rude customer who decides they want more and poor management choice that doesn't have the guts to say no I can't take your extended appointment, has cost them my business. Will not be back. I have been going to this salon close to 10 years and since it was sold (~ 1.5 years ago) it hasn't been the same. The online booking, while works is not respected. I have had 3-4 online bookings confirmed, where I've walked in and the nail tech isn't in, or on vacation etc. Finding a nail tech that you're comfortable with takes time and walking in and finding that that person is not in and merely offered someone else is just not acceptable. When booking online if your nail tech is not available, the system should not allow you to book the appointment. Also, the business owner should check all bookings early in the day and call clients when the nail tech is not going to be available. Sadly they've lost a loyal and high paying customer. read more

I once cracked my nail very bad and a construction accident and when I went in there, Christy took care of my nail to make sure it did not get any worse and she didn't charge me a thing. Time changes every thing and unfortunately to the far worse for LA nails. They have become ruder and worse at what they do. As soon as you walk in they greet you with a loud order to wash your hands you wait and wait even if you have an appointment then they rush through your service. My nails used to be perfect and last 2 weeks now they break within days and I've had to go back to have them reapply and instead of apologizing to me they told me I need to learn how to take better care of the nails and not use hot water. Wow, I forgot what it was like to be treated like a VIP. It was the first cold snowy night, and I was greeted at the door with a personalized note and a gift of lotion. Then, I was offered hot lavender tea as I started my pedicure. Very kind, welcoming staff and clean pleasant environment. Since they had a Thanksgiving special, I opted to upgrade to the hot stone massage. The stones weren't hot, were warm, but the other lotions, scrub, hot towel and hospitality made up for it. I will definitely return to this location for some TLC. Felt nice to be pampered. read more

I went here for a tip replacement with dip pop powder and the gentleman told me $50 I said OK so in the middle of soaking my fingers a girl came to finish my nails she was very rough on my fingers I have several cuts all over her she kept digging her fingers into my fingers not realizing that she was piercing through the skin when it was all done after the torture was over going to the register the girl Tells me $55 and I said the other guy told me 50 and she said because of the shape of my nail it was five dollars more well my nail shape is natural look at the picture I'll be four below I do not recommend this place unless you wanna have cut fingers and cuticles and they never use the tool on my fingers read more

They are attentive in what they ate doing and make sure you like the size and thickness and shape of your nails before doing polish. My no chip is about the same price as anywhere else I've been to which isn't bad but they have lasted so long which I'm happy about. Especially since I work with my hands a lot in a warehouse. Couldn't tell you the name of the woman who did my mani/pedi because she never bothered to introduce herself. I called to make an appointment but they told me to just come in-didn't even take my name. They were super busy when I arrived and perhaps that's why my service was rushed-I would have preferred to wait until they had time to provide proper service. This salon is clean and well organized. But their pricing is ridiculous. I went in for a Fullset of acrylic nails and was told they can't do anything "extra" or "any of that new stuff" or anything "more than a single color". Because of those statements I googled an image and showed the technician something similar to what I would like, and she told me any length I wanted that came past my fingertip was an extra charge - I couldn't believe it. This is a decent nail salon for basic mani and pedis but wouldn't recommend for someone looking for an acrylic set. read more

I stand by my old review in regards to this place being clean and well organized. Tony is also a fantastic nail technician and is truly meticulous with his work. However, I will not be returning to LA Nails because when they do their dip manicures, they cut corners. Instead of using the dip top coat, they use a gel top coat. For most people, this wouldn't be a problem, but for me, the gel starts peeling off on the second day and it makes my nails look cracked and messy. The first time it happened, I figured it was something I did and maybe I was too rough on my nails, but it happened the second time too. I'm honestly just disappointed. This is the only nail place I've been to that does a gel top coat on their dip manicures. I'm not sure if they do it to keep the nails looking thin, so it looks like a manicure as opposed to acrylic, but whatever the reason, it doesn't work. read more

Tried this place based on yelp reviews and I must say I am glad I came in. Very friendly family owned shop. Went in for a pedicure and Nina did such a fantastic job! She didn't rush and we actually had a nice genuine conversation. I think I just found my new nail spot and tech! FYI- make an appointment because they get busy after 3pm during the week and they are closed Monday's. They do take walk-ins but you have to wait if they are busy. I would 100% recommend this nail salon to anyone. They are the best! read more

One star simply because it's sanitary. Nails were okay. Asked for pink french tips, got no color instead. Overpriced as hell. Asked for my length choice, tried charging an extra $10 for a millimeter of length. Came back to get a nail fixed because it was leaning like a cholo. Instead of hard filing or changing the nail out entirely, they gaslit me by blaming my fingers anatomy as to why the nail was crooked followed with "what more do you want us to do?" I said never mind cause I'm not about to go back and forth with these people over a nail. Just a lesson learned. Definitely won't be back Forgot to add, my friend gave a generous 20% tip at checkout, and the lady ringing her up was looking at the 27% tip line on the receipt looking back to her hoping she'd give more than what she gave. PERFECTION! Hang (pronounced more like "hung") did my nails. Very chill. Very careful. Very meticulous. I can hardly believe these are my hands, my nails look so pretty. $40 for a no chip French manicure. The shop space is very nice. They even have two little butterfly-styled pedicure chairs for little girls. Cute! I will be back! UPDATE: That manicure lasted a solid three weeks and could have gone longer. No chips. Wasn't raising up at the edges at all. DOUBLE UPDATE: 06/10/2016 Apparently Hang no longer works there. :-( I'm devastated in a first world kinda way. She ran late but they were still able to keep her appt. which was great. I get a lot of ingrown in my little toes so I always worry about them not digging in and cutting them correctly. My tech did a great job and didn't have any problems the next day with my toes. She also did my mani and I gotta say the nail polish has held up very very well. I'm an active mom so they tend to get chip and polish falls off but not this time. I can't remember the tech name I just know she's the older sister that works there. It's a little drive from me since this is a half way point between my friend and I but I think I'll make an effort and return again. read more

I had the absolute worst experience. The tech was AWFUL. Didn't say a single word to me, cut my nails without asking if I wanted them short (I didn't) and then was going to charge me for putting tips on to fix the problem she caused, didn't do any massage for my deluxe pedicure or my dip manicure, and told me I couldn't have nail art done because she already put the top coat on. I would love to put her name her but she didn't even give me that. The owner saw what was going on and did nothing. Another tech tried to help but to no avail. I have been there before and it was better. But this time was so awful I will NEVER go back and will make sure those I referred there know what happened. This was far from the relaxing spa experience I had hoped for and certainly not worth the price of $100 for a dip and pedicure. Enter at your own risk. read more

There is lots of great qualities about this place.... it's very clean and the staff is very nice. I used to get my nails done by Nina who was wonderful! They did a good job on my nails. The things that I didn't like: 1. They only have a handful of employees so they really don't have capacity to take them walk-ins 2. They don't have a tip line on their credit card processing. They won't even let you add onto the amount. So you either have cash or you cannot tip your stylist. Like most people nowadays, I rarely carry cash so it was alway a pain to go there. Also, you could tell that employees were used to not getting tipped because they would just say "don't worry about- it's ok!" if people didn't have cash to tip. It just became more of a hassle to plan so I started going elsewhere. If you are a planner with cash on hand at all times-- this is a good place for you. If you are spontaneous with only credit cards-- find another place. read more
