I've been looking for a new nail place since the girl at oriental nail hasn't improved and no matter who I request they say yes come in and give me the same girl. I couldn't be happier with Ayer nails! Totally professional they schedule appointments with the required tech and take walk ins but they get busy so I'll from now on and request Julie. It was amazing how much my nail needed to be trimmed back on the sides and much cuticle there was considering it hasn't been two weeks since my last gel nail manicure at oriental. The proper steps were taken at Ayer nails and well worth it! I knew she'd be good so I got a French manicure with one finger valentine hearts. I am so sad that I have to write this but...my experience with a manicure was not a good one.The person that did my nails today cut me, my finger bled and I will be worried from now on about hepC /HIV and all of that...Because I was stupid and did not speak up at the beginning when I have noticed that she just took her instruments from an OPEN paper bag...I also looked around and did not see any sterilizer.Maybe they have it somewhere in the back...I don't know.All I know is that I regret terribly this ..."let's get nails done" on a whim.From now on, I will buy my own clippers.That person was clearly rushing,and I ...very much doubt the fact that they really sterilize instruments after each client... read more

I can honestly say that in all these years of getting pedicures, this has been my worst experience. I have had several pedicures done by Ayer Nail Care Salon with no problem whatsoever, that is until today (March 30, 2018) I walked in without an appointment, I picked my nail polish and was seated in a chair right away. The young lady asked if I wanted my nails filed or cut. I told her to cut them short and then round them with a nail file (this is what I usually always ask for). Well, she CUT my skin with the nail clippers, not once, but twice. I was BLEEDING! She actually cut me not only on my pinky toe, but half-way done my toe that is next to my pinky toe (somewhere where the nail clipper should not have been anywhere near). I told her to stop and she tried to place some sort of medication (it was in a green small bottle) on the cuts, but it made the cut burn. I asked her to stop and then she kept touching the cuts with her hand. She said sorry, but I told her that I just wanted to go home. Another lady that worked there, came over and started looking and touching my feet. I told her that she cut me and that I was going home. They both apologized. They offered me a band-aid, but I refused since I did not want anyone touching my feet. I told them again that I was going home. Glad they did not ask me to pay for the worst nail trim I have ever received. I am usually not the type of person to complain and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, it was obvious this nail technician did not know what she was doing. I will never be going back there again. Thanks for letting me vent. read more

I went here for the first time recently for a pedicure and while the end result was good enough, the experience was not what I was looking for. My main complaints were that the nail technician cut me when trimming my cuticles, and then I watched another technician "disinfect" the water basin after her customer left by spraying it with windex and giving it a very quick swirl with a brush. While my nails came out looking good, I left feeling worried about the cut on my foot after the questionable cleaning practices I observed. read more

I got a pedicure and I told the lady I want my toes SQUARE. I look and she cut my toes until it's nothing but skin then shaped them in a oval shape. Terrible pedicure. So I tell her that's the wrong shape and my toes look ugly and that's before the paint. They charge you take off polish. My toes were bleeding from her cutting them too low and she kept filing my skin. read more

Unfortunately, the person doing my nails was very young and inexperienced. She barely cut my cuticles and was not able to apply the gel uniformly. My nails do not look like they were professionally done. As I was paying, I did let the person in charge know that I did not feel it was a good job (I don't usually complain, but they look pretty bad!). The owner was not apologetic, nor did she offer a discount or to redo the job. I was surprised. My general experience with nail salons, is that they are accommodating and are always willing to fix a nail even a day later if it is chipped or in some way damaged. I heard good reviews, and have gone back 4 times for a gel manicure. Never a chip, even after 2.5 weeks. It is easy to call and make an appointment which has always been met on time. The shop can get busy, so calling ahead is ideal. Staff are pleasant and do nice work. I will keep coming back. read more

I called and asked the manager if they do gel nails. She said yes. I told her I want both gel nails and gel polish. She said yes, she understood, they do both gel nails and gel polish. I made an appointment and when I got there she seated me and then said oh, they don't do gel nails but it's ok, all I need is gel polish. No! I asked! There was no question of what I was asking, she just wanted a customer, regardless. I certainly wouldn't trust them with anything. read more

Highest of recommendations for this salon! The hot stone massage that comes with the pedicure is heavenly and the manicure was great. The staff is most professional and I do agree with making appointments ahead of time as it is a smaller salon. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Very nice staff! They even give you a hot stone massage on your legs when you get a pedicure! My gel manicures always last at least 3 weeks when I get them done at Ayer Nail Care. It is a small place though (small town so it makes sense), so definitely call ahead and make an appointment. read more
