He was excellent at explaining the problems and options for treatment. Both issues were better from having seen him. And, the staff was so good as well. I had follow up questions which they answered quickly and they were willing to 'fit me in again' for a follow up visit. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Korab

My experience with this practice was frustrating from both a billing and customer service…read moreperspective. When my daughter needed a walking boot, I paid the self-pay amount because she needed the device immediately. I repeatedly requested that the office still submit the claim to my insurance carrier, since coverage was available. After several phone calls, the authorization was eventually submitted and my insurance covered more than half of the cost. Instead of receiving a refund for the overpayment, I later received an additional bill. After contacting the billing department, they acknowledged the bill was sent in error and confirmed that a refund was actually due. The most disappointing part occurred later when another one of my daughters was referred to the same practice. When I attempted to schedule an appointment, I was told there was a note in my chart stating that the practice was unable to schedule future appointments for my family. Patients should not have to repeatedly advocate for proper insurance processing, correction of billing errors, and refunds that are owed. I am sharing my experience so other families can be aware and keep detailed records of their communications.

He indicated achilles surgery might be needed. Then he joined a medical group, and we sort of wandered away. The second podiatrist went straight to surgery, which we consented to. Basically, detach the achilles, file down the spur, and reattach. After all that, the problem isn't any better than it was. Enter Dr Rowe. He evaluated the foot, and then ordered a series of MRI images to be taken. In hindsight, I have to wonder why the previous guys didn't do that! His conclusion: of course the achilles surgery didn't work because the calf muscle is a bit too short. So the spur is growing again because the underlying problem wasn't fixed. The calf needs to be lengthened. He was very up-front, very friendly, and not rushed. He stayed until all our questions were answered. We've declined for now, but I was impressed that he wanted detailed pictures to see what was really going on, and then made a suggestion that made sense. I think we have a new podiatrist. I suspect that surgery will happen, but for now we're going to live with it.
