Went there lastnight well before closing and the door was locked....ok. Waited at the door while an older bald man looked at me through the front door then took his sweet time walking to let me in. When he opened the door he stood in the way and said "what do you need?" This was a weird way to greet a customer and that unwelcoming energy was rude as hell. I took my business somewhere else because I clearly wasn't welcomed at AZ Liquors and I suggest you do the same.....P.S. the lady that works there is always kind and welcoming but if that dude owns that businesses and treats customers like that then get your beer somewhere else. read more

Amazing staff, very helpful and always a pleasure to speak with. If you engage in conversation when you walk through the doors they are always willing to help out/ make suggestions or just talk about the day. Marijuan, is simply the best! Enough of a reason to come back and shop here. His personality, his stories, his love for people. Simply amazing and is what the world needs. Especially with times like these. As for the store, AZ Liquor offers a wide variety of premium spirits, wines, beers, and spritzers. The prices are very reasonable and at times better than Lee's Liquor and other large retailers. The best part is that it is a "locally owned" and that alone is worth it. When you visit AZ Liquor you better say hello because you will most definitely receive one. I was looking for Bacardi Rum Punch which is only produced during the summer. I asked other major Las Vegas liquor stories if they had it or couldn't get it. For the most part they hummed and hawed. When I called AZ Liquors, the man on the phone immediately checked and said he could order it on Wednesday and it would be in on Thursday.. On Thursday he called me and said it was in, and I picked it up on Friday. He even helped me out to the car with my order. I give these people five stars and that is high praise. read more

Overpriced store, rude staff, sometimes visited due solely to convenience, best to go elsewhere

This liquor store has what it takes to stand above the local grocery stores in the nearby area. AZ liquor is located on the corner on Grand Canyon & Tropicana. Its a small, but effective, liquor store that definitely has some pride in carrying quality products. They have decent prices on most wines and handcrafted beers. I had recently went to replenish my beer selection and was surprised by their inventory of Chimay, Unibroue, Innis&Gun, and many others. The store clerks are always attentive and willing to assist you with any additional information that you need about products in their stock. I'm glad I finally found this great little liquor store right across from my house. I will definitely be making more trips in the near future. read more

We highly recommend this neighborhood liquor store for it's selection of wine, beer and spirits. Can't say enough about the friendly atmosphere and quick service. The owner Marwan plus Judy and Adnan made it a pleasure to stop in to buy our Coronavirus essentials prior to the lockdown. Now, Marwan is delivering to our home. My only regret during these times of safety is not being able to invite Marwan in to visit. There are lots of big stores with more selection but anytime I have requested something, it magically appeared the next time I visited the store. Please support this small business! read more

Nice staff, but I need more than that. I've been here several times and have been disappointed about 50% of my visits. I'm used to a liquor store being like a convenience store, but this is not. They have two very small racks of snacks. I was looking for some sort of chip and they only have the individual small size bags. I opted for Doritos only to find they were expired. Another time, all the single size orange juices were expired. The large sized juices they carry are some off the wall brand I would never buy..they were an odd color and consistency. They seem to run out of things easily. Though this is closest to my house and the people are so very nice, I may need to find another shop. read more

Great, convenient neighborhood store. Pretty good selection given the size of the space. Easier than going into Smith's or Von's. Competitive prices and very friendly, helpful staff (especially Judy!) Definitely stop by for your alcohol and mixer needs. read more

My experience here was not the best being that I've experienced better customer service at several other places. When I walked in with my boyfriend, there was only one other customer in the store who had just walked in moments before us. The person working there seemed preoccupied which was fine because we didn't know what we were shopping for anyway, we just stopped in on whim. A few minutes later however, I noticed that the preoccupied gentleman was no longer preoccupied. I saw him staring at my boyfriend and I for a while before he finally asked if he could help us. I told him no and that we were just trying to decide what we wanted but he didn't move. He even walked from behind the counter as if to stand closer to the door while he stared at us. At first, I thought he was just trying to be helpful but then I noticed he never asked the other woman who had walked in seconds before us. When we finally did make a selection, my boyfriend picked the bottle off the shelf and handed it to the gentleman to reassure him that we had came to make a purchase, all the while the woman was still roaming freely. It just felt very uneasy and uncomfortable. The strangest part is.. for someone that assumed that we may steal something or was just trying to overly assert himself so that we felt intimidated.. NEVER asked for ID. I gave him mine along with my debit card so that he could check my DOB, which is well past 21 years of age. The environment was not warm nor friendly as many neighborhood stores tend to be. All of this to say, we will not make another purchase here. And to be clear, I have no knowledge of what the intentions of the clerk were to be, but I am sure they will lose a lot of customers if he continues to act this way to patrons. read more
