0 stars. I bought a bottle of bourbon that was an hour later after buying that I noticed there was a crack on the inside of the bottle and around the bottom of the bottle. I tried goung to the store to let them know and to get exchanged. The 2 women stated that I mishandled the bottle and the other one just said looked fine to Me. I did not get a I apologize are u ok or any safety for my person due to inside bieng cracked. Due to location and selection of certain items, this has been a go to store for me recently. After my interaction yesterday, I'm hesitant to go back due to their customer service. I am rating a two stars based on selection of goods. I purchased a bottle of Diane Mina's Bloody Mary mix yesterday day afternoon along with a cutwater four pack. As soon as I got home, I opened the mix to give it a try. As soon as I opened the bottle, I noticed the BB date: 06-14-25 and the neck had a dried ring of tomato sauce on inside. I immediately got in my car and drove back to Lee's to return and/or exchange for a new bottle. When I got to the store, I explained to the two sales associates at the first register (including the one that helped me) that it was past the BB date and I wanted to return/exchange. The two associates, as well as the other two standing around looked confused. The second associate, an older male, looked at the bottle, looked at the date, and said oh - it's a best by date, it can still be consumed. He said it's only a couple weeks past the day (it was the 27th) and that if it was a few months past the date, different story. I get BB dates are suggestions, but I don't want to purchase any food related items past their BB date from a store, especially tomato based items. Yes, it could still possibly be good, but flavor starts to change and well...always the chance that it's NOT GOOD regardless. What happened of I got sick from drinking a mix that they sold past the BB date because they said it was "still good"? My guess, they would claim zero responsibility. I insisted on replacing the bottle and went to the shelf with the associate that initially helped me. We looked at the shelf and 6-9 bottles of the mix were on the shelf and all were past the best by date. The associate looked confused and I said sorry, I want a different mix. She still seemed confused by my request for an exchange. I grabbed a similar bottle of mix from a different vendor, same price point, and went back to the register for an exchange. The older gentleman asked the associate that helped me what they wanted to do, and instead of doing an exchange, she PAID for the bottle out of her pocket, and THEY STILL didn't refund my money. I was floored! Why not exchange the bottle? Why did she have to pay for it? There was no apologizing. No clear cut understanding of their policies. It was more of a "we have no idea" what to do, who is on first situation. Oh and the kicker, besides the fact that the associate PAID for my new mix, was the older gentleman telling me that it was illegal for them to take back ANYTHING as I had already opened the bottle. That if their manager was there, they would say no. He said, well, you opened it, and well, I'm just saying it's illegal for us to take it back so next time, don't open it just bring it back. What? From what I know, there is no set policy in NV regarding the legality of returns as it applies to liquor stores. It can be against store policy, to return liquor, but bloody Mary is non-alcoholic. There are guidelines in regards to returning defective or incorrectly represented goods. Purchasing a product past the BB date, to me, is a defective good. Failure to do your inventory control does not make the best by date issue my fault. read more

This is like the BevMo of Vegas. A one stop shop. I came to grab my cousin some drinks for her graduation and came across the Earl Steven's collection of wines. Immediately my mind went to slurricane. My cousin would want a mixed cocktail over the wine, so I went to the front and asked them if they had any Slurricane, a mixed cocktail bottle that's also by E40. They had twelve bottles in stock. At first they weren't sure where it was located in the store, but when they found em they called me over and I got two bottles for her. She really enjoyed her bottles as part of her graduation gift. I got her the yellow bird flavor which is delicious and the other one I got her was red - probably a fruit punch or something. Anyway, I got her red because of her college's colors. I know it's not going to save you any time but I'd be happy to assist you if you come in. By the way the corporate branch on Sunset would be the location to give feedback to about your experience. Love how they have specials and affordable prices. Staff are friendly and if you ask them for advice they give really good ones. I became a fan of the reisling wine due to a staff member! They were out of fresh soju so we opted for the 1L Woodford with the price tag for 56.99. Rang up for 67.99, we asked and the manager ALEX, who was absolutely rude, and said that the price was not updated and if you don't want it "we'll just put it back on the shelf." Lee's is my go to place to find all those delicious beverages that are "adult" and that are hard to find. I love to make Elderberry flavored spirits with Pauly Girl and this has been the one place that I have successfully found it at reasonable prices too! I was waited on by a very pleasant cashier and my experience inside the store was memorable too. Lee's also stocks hard to find stuff too such as water in glass bottles which tastes so much better than plastic. The selection of grenadine is great and they have so many high quality brands. The only complaint that I have about them is that they close at 9 pm and this is usually when I am getting off so it is hard for me to sometimes time my visits with them. The clerk ran my debit card and charged my purchase but said it didn't go through so he did it again. I have a safety card with just the right amount on it. So it didn't go the second time. Well they said I hadn't paid for it. So I paid cash for it. I tried to show the manager on duty it went thru the first time. He wouldn't listen. I had a mess at the bank that took too long to fix! As other users have already pointed out, this place is tiny. I'm not the biggest alcohol drinker to begin with so this doesn't necessarily bother me. What does bother me is that there isn't always visible signage. For example, I was hosting a dinner party for 15 at my place. I noticed they had signs up for 12 packs of beer but not for the 24 packs (which I wanted) that were adjacent to the aforementioned 12 packs. I ended up just getting a 12 pack of Heineken and a 6 pack of Guinness along with some liquor. I don't want to have a cashier price check a bunch of stuff for me. I just want easy to see signage! I went in again and the cashiers were super helpful in helping me to identify a liquor that I had forgotten the name of (Bacardi Dragon Berry rum.) I got to the register and checked out and looked at the receipt and I was charged 1990. All three members of staff were rude and in informative when asked a question. i mean, no thought was put into the what I was asking about. I asked about October/fall/pumpkin wine. I don't know how else to say what I want, but no qualifying questions from these experts helped me get to what I wanted and I was left feeling dumb. One of the cleanest Lee's Discount Liquor I've been in. They have a good selection on alcohol and funny little knick knacks. I think what really sticks out at this place (which made my rating go from a 4 to a 5 star rating) is the fact that there's SAMPLE SHOTS. You read correctly.. SAMPLE SHOTS. I'm not sure on how often they do it, but they'll have the alcohol bottle held up front in an iced bowl and that's the sample shot of the day. I believe other days they'll have a couple lined up. My friend actually took a sample shot of everything they had available. I also love this place because it's literally walking distance from my house. read more

I went there to buy a 36 pack of Budweiser and it was double what I normally pay at Wal Mart , the non alcoholic beer is actually more than doubled the amount compared to Wal Mart. If you ask me Lee's Discount is by far the most expensive place in Reno/Sparks . Never will I ever shop there again for anything. The prices are just unbelievabley expensive. As the name suggests, "Quick n Easy" ! It is a MUCH smaller store than most Lee's but for most, you'll find what you need. They have sufficient stock of most hard liquors and mixers as well as beers. Wine selection is very minimal. Good place for a quick stop or last minute pick up. read more

There is a wide variety, which can make it difficult to find what you're looking for because there are so many aisles to go through. The place charged my card it was approved and deducted from my bank account. I was told that I couldn't walk out with what I paid for due to a glitch on their end. My bank account showed that the transaction went through. I showed them this. In order to de-escalate the situation and accommodate those waiting behind me I had to swipe my card again! Charged twice and was told that I had to come back to resolve the double charge if it doesn't fall off. The guy that ran my card gave me a receipt that showed one transaction along with the owners card. He said "This happens all the time and you're going to need this card." (Owners business card) WOW! It's like I gave them a deposit and I have to wait to see if it falls off! What if I don't want to come back? It's ok. I'll resolve what should have been resolved in the store with my bank! Oh! Despite the serious tragedy that happened at this location it's a very large and new store so there isn't anything to complain about. They have a huge selection, the store is clean and well stocked and the staff is average. They used to be in a much smaller location just a few feet away next to the sushi place. read more

I used to go here a lot when i lived in the area a few years back. The concept of a discounted liquor store with a points reward system was friggin awesome to me and they had a pretty wide selection of booze or so i thought at the time. These days Total Wine is my go to spot for mostly everything. Suddenly i find myself back in this general area and lazyness steps in and wow...Total Wine is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo far. So what happens now? Well time to stop by the old stomping grounds. This Lee's isnt exactly the largest but they'll do the job in a pinch. They've seriously beefed up their inventory since i've last been here and i'm even super surprised to admit that they had one or two things that i didnt see at Total Wine (possibly because it was out of stock). I don't know if he was just having a bad day. The Asian guy that works there is so rude. I grabbed the wrong bottle by mistake because I was rushing out. I just looked at the price and didn't pay attention to the size of the bottle. He was easily annoyed with me and the tone of his voice was so unwelcoming. He goes "I don't know what you want?" and grabbed the right bottle for me angrily. Usually, everyone else that works there is pretty nice and helpful! They ask how my day is and very attentive. The thing is it wasn't even busy at all and I wasn't even in the store for more than 3 min... I didn't ask him to do something out of his way or once gave him an attitude about what I wanted.
