My 50 year old pool was in bad condition. I had structural damage that was repaired several years ago and my existing pebble tec was deteriorating. Slowly over the past few years I was having algae growth that got out of control due to these problems. My trusted pool maintenance man had recommended AZ Pool Concepts to have my pool resurfaced. Shawn, the owner came out to check out my problematic pool. I thought I would treat myself to having the whole pool area redone so everything would look consistent. I had cracks in the cool deck, scuffed tired looking tiles with stained grout and I would need new rosettes for my water scupper feature. I found out that my old type of scuppers were no longer being used and new rosette covers were nearly impossible to find. Yet, Shawn was able to find some for me that were just right and lovely! They even had 4 water spouts each and were 3 dimensional compared to my old ones that were flush with the tiles. The crew are so hard working and knew exactly what to do each time they came out and were friendly and professional. Shawn is as kind and considerate as he is professional! He answered questions that I didn't think to ask him and would get back to me within minutes if I texted him with any other questions. He would stop by each time the men were working on my pool. He told me my pool would be finished in two weeks from the start date and it WAS! It sincerely turned out more beautiful than I imagined and without flaws or problems. We selected AZ Pool Concepts LLC to resurface our patio and pool deck area from a number of contactors interviewed. The short answer to are we satisfied is: most definitely yes! Shawn Walker, owner, reviewed, measured and provided an estimate of the cost to do the job. Shawn also made suggestions for colors to augment the amenities, colors and geometry of our area. Shawn's crew arrived at 7 AM on day 1 an immediately went to work covering the pool, plants, furniture, and other objects to protect them from dust. They then proceeded to begin to remove the old finish. They finished this task in no more than 3 hrs and proceeded to apply an epoxy coating upon which they would apply a base, texture, paint and sealer respectively. Shawn suggested a color of paint to enhance and blend with the existing colors surrounding the patio. To say the outcome was excellent is a gross understatement. We are totally happy with the outcome and the experience dealing with Shawn and crew.. They are amazing!! I do not hesitate to recommend these folks for these type projects. If you're looking to get your pool redone, look no further. I called four companies, two called me back. Shawn's price was lower, done in half the time the other company quoted and they did more for me. The other company wanted to charge extra for everything. I had one small issue with color matching on some rolled edging between boulders that took a few times to fix. But they took care of it no problem. The other company wanted to tile over the rolled edge for another $1000. So Shawn did me a favor by redoing the existing edge.
