Contacted DJ about a spa plumbing leak. He came out within a day or two and gave me a diagnosis of where the leak was coming from, but he needed to order the part. DJ initially kept me updated with this backordered part. Three weeks later DJ texted me saying the part would be in on Wednesday and he would be out to finish the repair on Saturday. I never heard from DJ again, completely ghosted me. I called another spa service and they came out the next day (a Thursday), diagnosed the leak (DJ's diagnosis was WRONG) and returned the following Monday and completed the repair. Would have done it on initial diagnosis, but had to get part from shop. For 3 weeks, I had a spa that was partially torn apart (I allowed this because DJ was going to return to complete repair in one week) and then wasn't even given the courtesy of telling me what was going on. I stayed home all day on the Saturday, but DJ never showed, called, or sent me a text. What I find weird is that all of our correspondence was cordial, so I'm not sure why I was just ghosted. I hired a Pool/Spa co. to fix my broken spa. They sent out a crew to fix my spa, after fiddling around for almost an hour they could not fix it. They said someone would come back the following day they thought it was a fuse. Next guy shows up, he is back there checking things out I decided to check on things. I asked bad fuse? We called another company that is listed here on Yelp and was told they couldn't find it, and we would have to have the hot tub ripped out and lifted with a crane which they didn't do. We called DJ for a second opinion. He came out, found the leak, fixed it, and then tried to charge us far less than what we thought the value was. So we compromised. DJ was able to come out within a few days to drain, clean, and refill the tub, as well as talk me through all the supplies and routine maintenance schedules to keep the tub looking good as new. Small fine crack was repaired, just not as neatly as we had discussed, when I brought it up again I was told that to do it right we would need a fiberglass guy. I specifically discussed I know how to do fiberglass, I explained I have fixed and built boats, but I wasn't confident I could make it look nice for this job, and we wanted it to not look repaired and to at least be the same color. Thought I would give DJ a try. At first I needed a leak repaired. That went well. After that not so good. I had a problem with th spa not heating properly. DJ installed a new temp sensor. That did not take care of the problem. Scheduled another service call, a complete no show, no call. I made contact with him and he stated that he was sick and having back problems. Ok, re-scheduled, again, no show or phone call. That was enough and still have a non working spa. Poor customer service and at first thought he was the person to take care of the spa. Disapointed as he is a nice and respectable person but not a very good record or dependable for treating the customer properly. Optimisticly speaking I believe he has the ability to correct this and he needs to understand that his customers time is valuable and shouldn't be treated in this manner. read more

Turns out I had a bad heater tripping my breaker and not only did he tell me exactly how much to fix it, he even took a video explaining exactly how to do it myself if I wanted to order the part and fix it. I called to confirm that morning and DJ had tweaked his back and would need to reschdule. He also said he tried to text me but he was texting my land line so text never went through. Rescheduled for week later. He arrived on time and diagnosed what he thought was the problem. He needed to order a part and would return next week to install. On the day of the next appointment he called and said his wife had had an accident and he would need to reschedule. April13 he finally came and replaced the part. When I refilled the spa after he left it was leaking much more than before. He said he would not be in my area till next week. I lost half of the water that I had just refilled. Needless to say he never called me back to come and fix HIS mistake. My son came for a visit a week later and was able to tighten the part and its working fine. Money NOT well spent. read more

He recommended some things we can do to prolong the life of the new cover. We discussed some issues we were having with the spa. He's going to get us prices on parts and then we're having him come out to do the repairs next week.
