After hiring another pool remodel company, I fired them after three no shows for starting the project. Previously I had given Gilbert Pool Remodeling a 5 star review. But after continuing to use their cleaning services over the past 8 months since we had our pool resurfaced by them, I would not recommend them to anyone. The pool was rarely cleaned well and the chemical balance got so bad that there is now discoloration from scaling in multiple parts of the pool. Instead of taking responsibility for the issue, we were told they "have to assume" it was caused by us because they wouldn't do anything that and that we must have put chemicals in on our own. Even after having a third party inspector come in and tell them they had messed up the chemical balances which caused the scaling they refused to take responsibility for it and blamed Gilbert's water as being difficult and hard to balance(ironic for a company named Gilbert Pool remodeling). This is only a part of the difficulties we have had with this company. Our overall experience has been one of over-promising and under-delivering with plenty of excuses and minimal effective solutions along the way. You'll pay premium monthly charges for below average service. read more

Please, for the sake of your pool and general sanity, do not trust them with the care of your pool. I'm attaching pictures for reference, but these are pictures taken the day of, or the day or two after a cleaning service. They also failed to properly backwash the pool multiple times and just pushed all the water/dirt into the street. I am also attaching pictures of the chemical staining that was caused in our pool because they failed to properly regulate the chemicals. We just had our pool resurfaced in January, so it's been very disappointing/expensive to have to deal with this issue. Jake (owner) consistently talked down to my husband and I when we brought these issues forward. He refused to take any responsibility, even though he had been the only company to service the pool since October. He initially blamed us for the chemical issues, and when we informed him that we never added anything because we had trusted his company to take care of things, he went so far as to ask us if we have a security camera in our backyard so he could verify that. Extremely unacceptable and insulting to treat customers who just spent $15,000 with your company to have your pool resurfaced. He then blamed the water, even though all of Gilbert has the same water, so they should already know how to work with it. We have not used our pool for a month now, because they fumbled around to try a chemical treatment, which, of course, didn't work. We are now having to have the pool completely drained and acid washed in hopes of getting most of the staining off, with a new company. We also found out that there has been a stopper in our main skimmer that was preventing it from working 100%, there are two pieces missing from our pool vac, as well as the hose they installed with the vacuum being too short to completely clean the pool. I had some unfortunate cracking and decay on our older style pebble pool that Jake felt we could fix and patch up but gave me the trust and confidence to just redo the whole pool. I had Gilbert Pool Remodeling come out to my home to fix a huge problem after having a new Pentair light put in by another pool company. Their bad wiring left my pump burnt out. Jake called me the same day to discuss coming out and diagnosing the problem. He came up with a few things we could do.
