I recently did the Verde Valley Ride from Scottsdale and we visited 3 wineries. Our bus driver, Dennis, was friendly and safely took us to our destinations. 2 of the 3 wineries we all enjoyed. The second place specializes in omitting sugar from their wine but we didn't like the taste. I'm not a wine connoisseur so it's personal preference. The weather was great when we went but that also meant that the vines look dead at the wineries. We were told they are green and beautiful in the summer but I think I'll pick nice weather and dead looking vines than braving the heat in AZ. Overall, I highly recommend this trip and although there is food in two of the places, definitely pack snacks and food on the bus! read more

I purchased six tickets for a Sunday ride for my daughter's 25th birthday. Five days before the ride, they canceled the reservation. When I inquired about what was going on, they said it was a glitch in the calendar and there shouldn't be any rides that day. However, the same issue happened two years ago when I tried to plan another birthday trip. So if you're looking to plan something for an important date, you may want to rethink it. Otherwise, you may be left scrambling trying to find something to do once they cancel your reservation because of a "glitch" I have made a total of four reservations for the wine. Wagon. Did a little bachelorette celebration with some family and friends and had a great time! I love that they pick you up and drive you, that way you don't have to worry about driving home! The bus is large and the seats are super comfortable. Our driver was super friendly and informative about the wineries we went to. My favorite by far was Alcantara. I reached out via email and phone twice and finally got an email returned, saying they could accommodate my date, but at a significantly higher rate than posted on their website. After that initial communication, they went completely dark on me. No returned emails or phone calls. I moved my business to Driver Provider. Even if they did communicate now, I wouldn't trust that they would actually show up on the event day, with as poor/lacking as their communication is. read more

This was a full day of touring the Cottonwood/Sedona area - including stops at three wineries. It was pretty hit-and-miss. The service at the wineries was differing from each other. The first winery was very welcoming, with a great gift store, a stop-by the table by the owner, and they had a nice food menu to compliment the wine flight we ordered to try. The second winery had a "funky and eclectic" feel to it, and the service was offhand, and not personable at all. There was no food offered (good thing we brought snacks with us). The third winery, near Sedona, had a lovely outside seating area, and they offered a fine charcuterie board to compliment the wine. Service was just so-so, but the ambiance of the outdoors made it pleasant (if a bit hot). I came with two friends, and there was another foursome on board. The rest of the coach was filled with a birthday party of about 15 people who pretty much commandeered the coach - insisting on their own music playlist, and being very vivacious, dancing in the aisles, etc. - all in celebration of the birthday person. This was great for them, but the rest of us felt like we were held hostage to their celebration. It was ok in the beginning, but by the end of the day, it was exhausting. I feel the AZ Wine Wagon folks should have given them a private charter for their party. They may not have notified the company that they were a group (maybe they all individually just signed up). Anyway, it would have been nice not to have the birthday celebration thrust upon us. read more

This was very boring. You're really just paying for the ride & you go to the wineries & are left to just do your own thing. I was hoping for a tour type of thing! The entire ride there & back the bus was extremely shaky maybe needs a wheel alignment & new tires ASAP! It shook so bad it was uncomfortable. Also the windshield was cracked all the way across! AZ Wine Wagon is new to Scottsdale and perfect for a day trip with friends or your spouse! You can even go alone to meet new people on the shuttle bus and at the wineries. We visited 3 wineries in the Verde Valley area: Oak creek Vineyards, Page Springs Cellars and Javelina Leap Vineyard. The first location has cheese plates, amazing artichoke dip, wine flights and a seasonal prickly pear drink. Page Springs was awesome we purchased a bottle for $19 and we kept the wine glass as a souvenir. They also have a river and you can get massages on site. Javelina Leap has live music and great pizza! Definitely a fun time! We stayed about a little over an hour at each location. Thanks to AZ Wine Wagon, we were able to make it home safely and had a fun time with our DD driver who is also a wonderful opera singer! The seats were comfortable and reclined for a nice nap or relaxing time. read more

This was my first time booking a tour (7/6/24) with AZ Wine Wagon with a friend visiting AZ for the first time. The first issues noticed upon entering the van were seats unclean, seats damaged/peeling, and usb ports not working. The main and MOST important issues were van road safety conditions (van shaking entire trip) and lack of air condition on the ride to Sedona and back in the month of July in AZ is totally unacceptable. The temp on the bus was 96 degrees and outside temps over 100 degrees. The driver attempted to duct tape fans and a couple of those fell down due to rough ride and hear. This was dangerous to tape fans in hot conditions and could have hit someone in the head when they fell. This is NOT what I was expecting for my first trip to Sedona and especially for the price. There should definitely be reimbursement for this trip. read more

I'm currently on the AZ Wine Wagon that traveled up to Sedona on 7/6/24. The bus' a/c is not operating properly and blowing warm air. Our driver had to duck tape 3 fans to try and keep us cool. The leather on every single seat is peeling and a little dirty. The front tires of the bus are wobbling so rough that I almost called for a ride back to Scottsdale because it's shaking violently off and on while the driver is getting us back. It seems unsafe. One of the windshields on the bus are cracked as well. I emailed the company and currently awaiting a response. I honestly am embarrassed that I invited 6 friends to pay $100 to get on a bus that is this low quality and low budget. Accommodations need to be made to show some type of remorse for putting this bus on the road. Last year was NOTHING like this and that's what made me come back. I don't know if I'll ever come back due to the condition of the bus. read more

First for the positive. This is a great way to get to the wineries and not have to worry about drinking and driving. i attended a bachelorette party and the group of folks on the bus made it fun. We had a great guy on board who dj'd and the song list was on point and made the drive fun. The driver Dennis was awesome and handled taking group pics and making everyone comfortable. Now for the negative...It's July and extremely hot. The seats are leather and the air conditioning didn't work well which made the 4 hrs of driving time very uncomfortable. We were all sitting it a puddle of sweat for the ride up and back. Since everyone paid $100 for the trip you would think the air would have of worked better. With 20+ on board which is $2000+ a trip. You would think the company would get the air fixed for customer comfort. All in all a good trip but being overheated was so not enjoyable. read more

This is the day trip my husband and I have been dreaming of! We love that Cornville is our neighbor, but we also LOVE wine.
