It's pretty much impossible not to laugh riding around downtown Mesa on these critter-mobiles and it was fun to see the reactions on people's faces as we rode by. We received detailed instructions including parking info and arrived to get situated and select our rides. The rydables are well outfitted and very easy to maneuver. Each had a speaker on it as well as a walkie talkie, so our guide up front could keep instructing us and we could hear that as well as a cheery playlist. Another staff member rides at the back for safety. We ate at several places and definitely had enough food! There was time to relax a bit at each stop. We also stopped for photos a few times and to do something called "the wiggle" which was a highlight. I'd like to try the history tour as well. Definitely recommend this and will do it again!

We hit five different places in Old Town Scottsdale and definitely came away with our heads full of additional knowledge and our stomachs full of delicious food. It should come as no surprise that Lindsey is a teacher given the attention to detail and history in the information that she shared, and didn't mind one bit when I took some of the wind out of her sails with the Milwaukee connection that one of our steps--AZ88--had with a popular eatery back home. The amount of walking wasn't too much for my mom (recovering from knee surgery), and I cannot appreciate enough that the company didn't cancel the tour despite it just being the two of us on the tour with Lindsey. I also enjoyed that she was a true local, being on a first name-basis with much of the staff at the stops we made, driving home the comments she shared about being a local resident. The stops were varied from chips and salsa to bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, from elote to wine and cheese. And any tour that ends with gelato has to be good!

Wine Collective, where we sampled 3 wines and snacked on charcuterie. 4. Cimmino's, where we had our choice of several flavors of gelato -- and the ingredients were imported from Italy! Each stop featured a unique atmosphere and tasty food. I really appreciated their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions -- because I don't eat red meat, I was provided with two smoked turkey tacos in place of brisket nachos, and with chicken tacos in place of pork tacos. This was a huge plus for me! We spent about half an hour at each establishment before walking to the next. As we traveled, Zach shared some fun facts about the area's history. Lucas was our guide and he was charming, kind and very informative. We were a group of sassy girls and he handled our sass and played along while still keeping us on track and focused. We had warned Lucas ahead of time that I had a knee injury and he was so careful to make sure I was accommodated and had places to sit whenever possible and checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok. I had been to phoenix hundreds of times but still managed to learn a ton of things I didn't know. Also we caught a weird figure in photos at the Rosson House when we looked back. A lot of us had the same photo from the same angle and the figure wasn't in all the photos. So definitely spooky!! 100% would recommend.

We added the additional 30 minutes on our original tour. Phoenix downtown is such a modern city now, that sometimes the past is overlooked so this is a nice tour of history and ghost stories combined. We had a great time and needed a good walk after dinner. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking.

The second place specializes in omitting sugar from their wine but we didn't like the taste. I'm not a wine connoisseur so it's personal preference. The weather was great when we went but that also meant that the vines look dead at the wineries. We were told they are green and beautiful in the summer but I think I'll pick nice weather and dead looking vines than braving the heat in AZ. Overall, I highly recommend this trip and although there is food in two of the places, definitely pack snacks and food on the bus!

When I inquired about what was going on, they said it was a glitch in the calendar and there shouldn't be any rides that day. However, the same issue happened two years ago when I tried to plan another birthday trip. So if you're looking to plan something for an important date, you may want to rethink it. Otherwise, you may be left scrambling trying to find something to do once they cancel your reservation because of a "glitch" I have made a total of four reservations for the wine. Wagon. The first two times were great, the last two times were canceled last minute, both for birthdays, and both left me scrambling.
