Insincere and careless practice, stay away unless you want to be rushed into a decision, want to have the wrong treatment plan, want to be in pain after surgery and want to have the office staff act unprofessional & rude. I had a tooth abscess, my last molar failed, so no molars bottom left side of my mouth from injury. Dentist referred Dr Azghandi for implants, said "oh he's the best!". First appointment was to evaluate the pros/cons of removing the tooth, & if I decided yes we could remove it that day. Azghandi gave me a 1 minute explanation & said he'd let me decide.. meanwhile as I was considering the surgery, he was pacing back & forth and asking the dental assistant if I made my decision yet, clearly acting impatient with his prospective "patient". I decided to have my molar extracted and we started surgery right away. During surgery, I politely asked if that noise was him extracting the tooth, and he replied in a loud/condescending manor, "You don't need to know that!!".. I was a bit taken back by his rudeness & inability to communicate properly, surgery goes on, & he finally removes my tooth with lots of effort, my teeth have very long roots and prior tooth extractions were not fun (I've had all my wisdom teeth & the rear molars removed for braces, 8 teeth total pulled, then my rear molar cracked from a dentist filling and that rear left molar was removed, leaving my bottom left jaw with 1 last molar which he was removing that day.) He put a cadaver bone in to build up the bone line, had to do this twice because the first one was too small to fill the void. Next 2 days I had to take pain meds because they ran out that night, the third day/morning I called in the office to ask for a refill and I told them I just needed enough to get through the day because I was going to work in the field & was still in a lot of discomfort. They said I needed to come into the office & Azghandi wanted to see me, I told them it was not happening because I was on my way to a customer's house at 8:30am, & if he could just write a refill for a small amount to get me through the day, that is all I was looking for. They refused to do so and left me hanging in pain all day, I took 2 Tylenol extra strength and was STILL feeling an aching/throbbing in my jaw and was working in discomforting pain the whole day. Fast forward to the 1 month follow up visit, I confirmed the appointment about 3 times for 11:30am, I arrived at 11:28am, and the office assistant said "Oh well the Dr. is about to go into surgery, we didn't think you were coming for your appointment", I said I confirmed my appointment with you multiple times, why would you make me take time off of work for this appointment just to go do surgery on someone else, complete disrespect to me & my time. She ended up getting Azghandi to stop prepping for his surgery and he saw me, literally took 1 minute for him to look in my mouth & say "everything looks fine, see you in a few more months." So I go to check out and ask about the next appointment, and she tells me that my 1 implant could get scheduled in May, and I said No, it's 2 implants that I need, not one (I had no molars bottom left jaw but 2 molars top left jaw), like WTF, what doctor would give you a half-assed solution? I told her to get the doc so I can talk to him, she hesitated, delayed a few minutes then got up and checked on the dr. and then came back and told me he was in surgery and couldn't see me, and that I needed to reschedule, and had the audacity to tell me and straight up lie to me that I was late to my appointment and that somehow I was to blame for their incompetence. I was furious, these people screwed me over and had no remorse and tried blaming me for their incompetence, what professional does that?? I had to walk away from this complete waste of time and absolute terrible business practice, looked at my phone and it was 11:47am as I walked down the long hallway. I've since contacted another periodontist who completed a full assessment & even found I needed a gum graft very soon for 1 tooth! read more

I had to have my two front teeth removed. It was a terrifying thought. I have to say that Dr. Azghandi and his staff made it not so terrifying. From the front office staff that got me in as soon as I called, to the tech that walked me back and told me what to expect- everyone was so comforting and professional. Dr. Azghandi was amazing, I did not feel a thing, he talked me through all of the steps and gave great care advice. I followed all directions and had zero problems. I was able to take Tylenol for pain and I did not need anything stronger. The office called and checked on me multiple times. Let me start by saying I am very pleased with the doctor and all of his staff. I was told what expected in minute detail. I had 9 teeth extracted and bone transplantation in one visit for preparation of implants. I decided on this procedure because of the required healing time of 4 months between extraction and placement of implant. All was done under sedation (my request). I have yet to feel any pain!! My mouth was a bit sore for a bout a week after the surgery but after 6 weeks, I still have had no pain!! Outstanding!! Due to the fact that I am a card-caring "foodie," my only challenge has been eating. You see, the 9 teeth were taken from both sides of my mouth, upper and lower. Going to Dr. Azghandi's office was truly a 5-star experience. The waiting room is calming and comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly explain payment and insurance coverage. Every time I have visited, I have been seen for my appt on time. Dr. Azghandi's assistant is kind and welcoming. Dr. Azghandi is fantastic- confident, calm, knowledgeable, answers every question patiently, explains all procedures, and treats patients and their concerns with respect. I came here to have a frenulum procedure and a gum graft. I have severe anxiety. I take multiple anxiety medications and I hate anything having to do with dental work, needles in my mouth, etc. Adding onto that, I was TERRIFIED from the stories I had heard of how much gum grafts hurt. My experience couldn't have been further from all the horror stories I had heard. With Dr. Azghandi, my experience and healing time after was nearly pain-free (just some soreness around the gum site but manageable with regular ibu profen dosage) and I generally have a low pain tolerance. He knew I was nervous and he and his staff went above and beyond to make my experience as comfortable as possible. The actual in-office procedure was so easy that if I had to do it again, I wouldn't hesitate or worry. I just walked out of my post-op appt and everything healed wonderfully- can't even tell I had a procedure done. For nervous patients like me, look no further than Dr. Azghandi and don't wait. I was so terrified to get my receding gums grafted with gum from the roof of my mouth that I put the procedure off for 10 years. When I finally decided I had to get it done, I went to Dr. Azghandi because my friend highly recommended him. He immediately put me at ease my explaining the procedure and even convinced me that I wouldn't need to be knocked out. On the day of the procedure, he told me how long the first shot would hurt (literally 2 seconds) and then proceeded to give me multiple shots I never felt. He was so kind and gentle, and the first procedure went so well, I went back for the second. I highly recommend any work you need to have completed. After a couple years of my regular dentist telling me that I needed gum surgery, I finally broke down and made an appointment with Dr. Azghandi. His office was a bit of a drive for me, but he came highly recommended by my dentist. I heard horror stories about the surgery that I needed from friends, and - honestly - I was scared. Dr. Azghandi and his staff were fabulous and made the whole process easy and as pain-free as possible. Dr. Azghandi is personable and listened to all my concerns. His office and back office staff are great - the office runs like clockwork without me feeling like a "number". Beautiful office and very high tech with big TVs in each patient room. Needing a gum graft in two different areas, I was a nervous wreck! I had heard too many scary stories. Dr. Azghandi was kind and patient in calming my fears and explaining the process thoroughly yet not in so much detail to further my anxiety. Both procedures went great. Dr. Azghandi's assistant, Josh, was also warm and kind. Between the fantastic bedside manner and excellent skill, my surgeries were a success. I had bone graft surgery last week with Dr. Azghandi to prepare for implants. The results were so much better than I expected. I experienced no bruising, and I bruise easily. I also had minimal swelling and was back to my normal functioning on the fifth day after surgery. Dr. Azghandi was wonderful in explaining the procedure. It looks great when I smile - no noticeable scars. If you just got bad news that you need to see a periodontist, then you can feel reassured that there is a fantastic periodontist in Montgomery county. Dr. Ramin is professional, experienced, and reassuring. His staff are also professional and competent. I was referred to Dr. Azghandi by my Dentist and am still in contact with his office regarding insurance coverage. From my first appointment, operation, post-op appointment to now they have consistently been professional, thorough and honest about procedures and expectations. I was recommended by my dentist to see Dr. Azghandi for gum grafting surgery. I was scared at first because I didn't know what to expect and wasn't sure how painful the procedure was going to be. Dr. Azghandi took the time to explain to me how the surgery was going to be done. He answered every question I had and I felt more comfortable going forward with the procedure. I had gum graft on 6 teeth with Dr. Azghandi in April 2017. I had a serious gum recession and my teeth were starting to move due to the lack of gum support. I consulted with other professionals before, but they did not take the time to explain the procedure. I was so scared I waited months for another opinion! On the contrary, for Dr. Azghandi each patient is a special case. He takes the time to explain pros and cons of the procedure as well as the process and post operation. I lost two teeth to the upper right quadrant of my mouth. The space was very visible. Usually I smile a lot, but I could not bear to see myself smile as much, because of the big gap. I visited Dr. Azghandi's office. He reviewed implant options with me. He explained the procedure in a way I understood and explained pros/cons, risks/benefits. Both implants were successfully inserted in his office. He was caring, compassionate and gentle throughout the procedure. He informed me of what to expect along the way. He used lots of numbing agents so I experienced minimal pain, actually I felt pressure rather than pain. Recovery was short. Dr. Azghandi is an expert in his line of work.
