I have read the reviews and I am very confused. None of them have been my experience! Both my kids have been going to him since they were newborn. About 7 years ago. We used to live in LA and were referred to this Dr by family in Temecula. My kids were born in LA. We moved when they were newborn to Hemet. We drive to Temecula from Hemet just to see this doctor. He and his staff have been nothing but amazing. ANYTIME I call, they have answered and even have given us same day appointments if need be! They NEVER have multiple patients piled up in the waiting room for hours which is nice when you have young children and covid/flu going around. I also never have to wait more than 3 minutes TOPS in the waiting room. This doctor is the expectation of what I want in a doctor as an adult. I believe when you make an appointment, you should be seen at that appointment time and that's exactly what this doctor does. He's never condescending or rude, but he does tell the truth and is straightforward with you. It sounds like some of the comments that people can't handle the truth. I went through pediatric partners when my son was born and every time I went, I had to wait over two hours. That's really difficult with a newborn and a mom who is just giving birth. I also saw a different doctor every time which is also frustrating because having to re-explain certain medical condition conditions or situations is also frustrating. Pediatric partners and Hemet really dropped the ball with us several times his first year of life. So we ended up switching over to Dr Azhand and let me tell you it's been a game changer. Please don't read the negative reviews on this app and think that he's just the worst doctor in the world. He isn't he's actually opposite of all the big mainstream companies that are treating patients like a number. I'm a truck driver. I drive across country and he makes an effort to try to squeeze me in last minute if my children are sick, I need to see him. He also takes the time out of his day to sit and ask me how I'm doing as well. You don't get that with many doctors. read more

I'm very happy to say Dr. Azhand has all new staff, giving us the most wonderful experience. It truly was the best visit yet. I'm glad we did not switch pediatricians. Dr. Azhand was cheerful and joking with my kids. He was very thorough as always and was very pleasant to work with. The new office staff was cheerful and knowledgeable. They were very reassuring and comforting my children for the finger pricks. They were happy to help get shot records and sign back to school paperwork. Edited: we ended up down in San Diego to REBREAK the ark to reset it. So it heals correctly.. Ticked peeved doesn't even remotely come close to how I feel currently. PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! don't even bring your children here. They do not deserve any stars! I we'll be complaining to the California board.. He isn't one to listen to the parents intuition (when I asked for a allergy test for one of my daughters it was like pulling teeth). I'm not one to leave nasty reviews, everything in the past week has been a NIGHTMARE! Another daughter a month ago broke her right arm that referral over to Radys was easy. Than last Tuesday she broke her left arm. I called Wednesday they stated that they would have the referral by that week. Friday I still had not heard anything. Finally I called back and the lady had NO idea what I was referring too. Monday I had a appointment to remove her first cast, they informed me that we still did not have a referral of course there office is closed. This doctor and his extremely rude and condescending staff sent my daughter out of their office in TEARS. We came here to be seen for follow up after 2 separate visits to the urgent care and ER. We were told to get checked out and get a referral to an Ortho and MRI for a knee injury as x-rays came back negative. We come in, and first they tell us we're responsible for being the CD with X-rays to the appointment. Whatever happened to getting a medical records request and the whole process of that? And then belittles the hospital and doctors who saw my daughter and tells us that she's fine and doesn't need anything else, and says we wasted our time!? The doctor was absolutely RUDE. He kept shoving words into my daughters mouth and gave her no opportunity to speak on how she's feeling or where and when she felt pain during his extremely rigid exam of her knee. Then, the medical assistant comes storming in because my daughter is putting her knee brace on and shoes, and attempts to school me on what Orthopedics is and how she thinks that we are wrong for asking for any referral. Mind you, I work in the medical field and understand how this all works. THIS OFFICE IS BELITTLING and the doctor needs to get out of medicine. I have been going to this doctor since my daughter was an infant and every time I try to give him the benefit of doubt and each time he proves to me why I should trust my gut. I would rather take my daughter to urgent care than to receive service from him. Thank god I finally had time to make the switch to another doctor. Let's start with the front desk and medical assistant staff. Through out the years that I have been going his staff has always been unprofessional and rude as hell! They don't greet you when you walk in or even acknowledge you until you're standing there waiting. They always have attitudes like you're a nuisance and interrupting what they have to do which is crazy to me because WE ARE THE PATIENTS. There's no reason the parents should have to deal with snappy attitudes and rudeness just for having an appointment. I understand you don't like your job but at least fake it like every one else has to do while working with others, it's a job you're not always going to want to deal with people but don't be rude and have an attitude. Azim doesn't even deserve the title of a doctor or a pediatrician. He has treated my daughter disgustingly ever since she was an infant and has also treated me with such disregard. For example, my doctor sprained her wrist during practice and we had to take her to urgent care. She received a cast and the doctor who took care of my daughter told us to make a follow up with her primary, which we did and received an appointment a week later. At the time my daughter was in 4th grade and she was still in school when she sprained her wrist. When we went for her follow up to see Azim, we were once again treated like an inconvenience by the front desk and once we got back to see Azim he didn't even want to touch my daughters cast or hand because he claimed she was "too dirty". I told him of course her cast might be a little dirty, she's a kid and likes to play outside with her friends. Her hand wasn't dirty and her cast had a few marks on it but other than that, it wasn't dirty to the point he couldn't look at it. So he refused to look at her wrist and told her to keep the cast on for another week and a half and then come back and he'll remove it. You're supposed to be a pediatrician and you disregarded my daughter as if her injury didn't matter. But he was quick to be all in the face of a child who was actually dirty. I guess that's what happens when they discriminate based off insurances. If he feels like the parent is stupid he will speak to you in a very condescending tone and try to parent your child and tell them what to do in front of you. He makes both my kid and me uncomfortable because he will start talking to her in a very disciplined tone and then look at the parent with a rude expression. My daughter has voiced that she doesn't like going to him anymore because of how he treats us. I have finally made the switch to a better doctor that treats both me and my daughter with respect. Everyone should change from this "doctor". The whole entire staff is horrible. read more

I was very disappointed when I visited this doctor a couple of years ago. He doesn't want to listen you at all. He said there is only one opinion, his opinion.. and he never let me explain my point of view and my worries about my kids. He is pushing to do whatever he wants and doesn't care if it might be dangerous for your child. I don't recommend this pediatrician. read more

If I could give him no stars I would. I took my son to Dr. Azhand because he had the flu. Dr. Azhand just asked me a couple of questions about my son then he just prescibed him medication. After that I had one other quick question and the doctor told me if i had any other questions that i had to come another time and make another appointment He doesnt spend any time at all with you whatsoever. He told me that he can not spend too long with every patient whitch he spended not even 5 minutes. All he wants to do is charge you for every question you ask. read more

If his "bedside manner" were applied to an adult- I don't know if he'd still be in business. No introduction, no hello, just asked my daughter questions while looking at his paper and then because she's extremely tall for her age he began to talk about how she is in the 90th percentile and be careful of the BMI. Cut out sweets, exercise more, no tv or computer. Hum, excuse me? My daughter is very tall and very active and we limit our screen time and we eat actually very healthy. They gave her a sucker afterwards, ironic I know, and she said she shouldn't eat it because of what the doctor said. WTF? She's five, are you kidding me. First and last time I'll be going here. The front office staff is amazing, but unfortunately the Dr. was not. I think girls have enough body image stuff to deal with, without having a supposedly trusted adult figure adding to it. read more

Very thorough and attentive doctor. My son had pneumonia and Dr. Azhand diagnosed him right away, sent him to imaging and since the offices were about to close for the weekend, he gave me and the imaging techs his cell phone number to call him right away with results. He then called me and advised me on the proper course of treatment. He also followed up with me another time on a weekend to see how my son was doing. The reason this doc get a ONE star (too bad there's no Zero) is because of his bedside manners and hush you in and out of the door. Front staff is excellent, BUT the doctor is less than desirable his lack of people skill shows. How can you see a first-time patient without introducing yourself, ask about her name, etc...I went to him because of ALL the reviews, and for me, it was a horrible experience. I understand being new to the area and having been spoiled in the military docs, BUT this physician is less than desirable (I don't care about how great you are). He seems that he's always too busy to listen to any concerns you might have. My oldest has been a patient for 15 years and my youngest for her whole life. Dr. Azhand is friendly, always correct with diagnosing my children, and never over prescribes medication. I trust him with both my kids. The staff is always helpful and friendly. read more

We just had our first checkup for our two kids with Dr. Azhand and staff. The check in was easy and the assistants were professional and friendly. Dr. Azhand did the exam and spent plenty of time with us and gave great advice to both my son and daughter. After the exam, each kid got three vaccinations. We just moved to temecula so I had to choose a different pediatrician for my son. The office was clean and up to date and located in a good area. The staff was friendly and dr. Azhand spent time explaining and talking and he also listened. So far I'm pretty happy. I just wish that the wait wasn't so long. read more

UPDATE 10/19/2018: We have been going to Dr Azhand for over 8 years now. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. He is very personable and patient. You can tell he loves working with kids and makes them feel at ease. My children feel safe and well cared for at his office. My almost 6 year old son loves his doctor and asks for him anytime he's sick. Dr Azhand personally makes calls to follow up or give results. I honestly feel lucky to have found such an amazing pediatrician. I highly recommend him! read more

I went to Dr. Azhand because of his good reviews and had a horrible experience there. The main thing I would like to tell others is if you are interested in an alternative vaccine schedule or do not want to vaccinate your child , DO NOT GO HERE! When I took my 5 months old son there for the first time and told him I felt he was too young for vaccinations just yet, he seemed annoyed and perturbed. Then he told me I could not see him anymore because I didn't follow his recommendations. He continued to say in a condescending way that it was a "fad" not to vaccinate and that I was hurting my child. To be clear, I am not anti-vaxer but understand that their are risks from vaccines just as their are risks to getting infectious diseases and wanted to talk about those risks with him. I was disappointed he was not able to have an open conversation about the matter of vaccinations. It seems he wants you to take all of his recommendations or he won't be your doctor. read more

Dr. Azhand is absolutely amazing! My daughter (9) had him as a pediatrician when she was younger & now my son has him. Dr. Azhand & the girls in the office are great! He's not like most other doctors who just see you as another number. He takes his time, LISTENS to your concerns and addresses the issue. I've never had a problem calling and getting a same day sick appointment for my kids. When you call and leave him a message he calls you back PERSONALLY unlike other doctors. You can even reach him on weekends if you have a emergency. He's super patient with the kids and doesn't loose his cool when my son throws his fits EVERY TIME we go in. My sons a handful to say the least lol. He's a very hands on doctor who really cares about the health of your babies! I cannot say enough good things about him and highly recommend him to everyone I know or anyone looking for a great doctor! My suggestion is that you do not bring your child here!!! my daughter came here 2 times and because we missed appointments and the lab did not give them the blood results on her iron sooo he threatened to call CPS on me claims that the child was neglected I don't even understand how or why he came to that conclusion he was upset that my daughter only gained 1 lb in 5 months apparently he wants my child to eat fast food ....fat foods so she can become obese.. he stated that if I didn't get her to immune shots today he was going to call CPS however regardless he was calling CPS.. not for child abuse but because I miss the appointments and didn't reschedule.... and she didn't gain enough weight according to him however statistics say that my child is in a the 37% percentile of her age group so there's nothing wrong with her she grew taller and so she lost a pound to him he wasn't having it so I would suggest that you take your child elsewhere I only came here two times and it was two times too many so please beware of this doctor...
