Dr. Phan is thorough, kind, and direct. He makes both me and my husband laugh, and he always makes us feel heard and validated. He listens attentively to our concerns, provides sound, evidence-based advice, and truly demonstrates compassion and care with every visit. I just had our second baby on May 15. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was able to get an appointment scheduled the very next day (a Friday) for the following Monday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that visit, we learned that our baby had lost 12% of her birth weight. This exact thing happened with our first, and our old pediatrician handled it terribly--immediately mentioning "failure to thrive" and making us feel panicked and inadequate. But instead of jumping straight to suggesting formula, he encouraged me to take care of myself first and to pump to see what my output was. To my surprise, I was producing plenty of milk. That encouragement lit a fire in me--and by that Friday, our baby girl was already back to her birth weight. I am endlessly grateful for Dr. Phan. He was encouraging, compassionate, and honest throughout the process. Most importantly, he reassured me that he wasn't concerned about our baby's health, which gave me an incredible sense of peace. His calm confidence was the complete opposite of the fear and guilt we were met with from our previous pediatrician. They are hands down the best medical staff I have ever dealt with--to the point where I wish Dr. Phan were my primary care provider, not just my son's! My husband and I are first time parents and knowing that our son is in great hands every time we visit the Lake Elsinore Pediatric office, makes us feel 1000 times better. We know that when our son is sick, Dr. Phan and his team are going to go above and beyond to make sure we are seen immediately and that our son is taken care of to the absolute best of their ability. Prior to my son's birth, I just emailed their office and they were extremely quick to respond and get me set up with an appointment within one week of my son's delivery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our first impression of Dr. Phan was, "Wow...we hit the jackpot for pediatricians!" Dr Phan is the best doctor in the industry! I have yet to come across a doctor with his expertise, empathy, humor and supportive staff. His front staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating and I love that his wife is part of his team as well! We first saw him when he was at Tarin Medical and we were sad when we heard he was leaving. But we were ecstatic when we found out he was opening up his own practice. It was a no brainer for us to follow him from Corona. The drive isn't bad, we make the most of our "mini road trip." If we're lucky our boys nap on the way there. He always gives us the time to ask all of our questions and not make us feel rushed or dumb. He knows when to be serious and when to crack a joke. He gives good medical and even life advice. You can tell he genuinely cares for his patients. When I struggled with latching with both my boys he didn't just tell me to see a lactation consultant. He took initiative to call her and let her know I would be coming down and made sure to keep in contact with us. They both worked together to make sure the time worked with follow up appointments and lactation appointments. He also gave my husband and I great advice when we found out we were pregnant with our second son. He will personally follow up with you and make sure your questions and concerns are addressed. Dr. Phan is your bff pediatrician. He's so down to earth, easy to talk to, and he cares about your little one so much. Not only is he funny and super chill, but he always makes us feel that we can come to him anytime our daughter needs help or we have questions. He's always been available to us, even after hours via text. He's different than other pediatricians. We found out that Brooke was severely allergic to eggs after introducing them to her for the first time and her having a horrible reaction. She was crying, red, covered in hives, and had GI upset all at the same time. They immediately brought us in. They could have easily sent us to emergency but he took us in right then and there to help on one of their short days where they were nearing closing time. He stayed with us for hours trying to make sure we got everything she needed. He even personally made calls trying to track down the right epi pen, and offered to run to the pharmacy to get it for her. He stayed after they closed to make sure she was okay to go home.
