Good atmosphere, good people. Way too much live music and entertainment. It would be great to see a band one weekend night and either have a DJ or let the customers run the jukebox the other night. I don't usually leave reviews, however, the food was so awful I felt I needed too. We Ordered a chicken dinner and it was served cold so the server took it back and microwaved it then brought it back out to the table ‍. We also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken breast was half the size of the bun, wilted lettuce, soggy tomatoes and old off colored onions . I didn't dare try to send that back. I immediately liked the vibe, although I feel they should consider opening the front doors on beautiful days with some sort of screen system if allowed. My heavy friend struggled to get into the booths although if the tables at the booths were not bolted to the floor it would have been better :) Draft beer selection, ok, TV placement ok, Server was okay. Write this place off! Lunch was probably the worst of any meal had anywhere. arrived at noon and got order in quickly. Only bartender "serving " and SHE SUCKS!! OMG! The special was a damn BLT? And it took 25 plus minutes to get it. Steak fries were old and barely warmed up. Ketchup was a poor man's mix of tomato sauce and sugar...you could tell it was the cheapest thing they could buy based on texture AND terrible taste. This is a cool little joint with some neat decor and a back room with classic bar games. I wasn't planning on playing darts, but seeing as it took my group an hour to get our food, I give it a go. It even took close to 45 mins to get our appetizers and when we asked the waitress if our food was almost up, she gave attitude. I don't mind waiting if the service is good and the food is good but my food was not worth the wait. I got the plain burger- I asked for it medium rare and it came to me well done and a little charred. It was super dry. The only reason I'm not giving this place 1 star is because they have a nice drink menu and it's a cool place to hang out. But I will not be revisiting this place anytime soon. read more

As the covid closings were coming to an end (5/20) we were jonesing for some food not easily made at home. For us, that was fish and chips. Nice, big place which was obviously the local watering hole. Pretty sure we were the only people there who didn't know every person in the place (all sitting at the bar). Atypical of a lot of sports bars is they have a lot of entertainment options; pool, darts, pinball (I think), and other things to include what appeared to be a wall mount version of corn hole. The food was just okay. The fish portions were generous but had very little taste. It was nicely cooked with no mushy bottom. The fries were very disappointing being steak fries which I'm not a fan. Again, very little flavor. Golden brown crinkle cut or shoestring with some seasoned sea salt would have been my preference. read more

I try & account for Covid stress on staff, but this rude behavior has become a trend & mgmt must be aware, as it is happening in plain sight. Recent visit this week, server (Mary I think?) watched us sit, walked by numerous times, then when I asked (after seriously 20+ min) if we could be assisted, she expressed they were busy & our table would have to wait. Ive been to AZool several time in the last 2 months. Each time, Brad has been a great bartender, and Lacy and Deanna have been great servers. Tonight, I was subjected to a different bartender = I think his name is Jake or Jared. He over charged me for diet cokes, he over charged me for Bud Light, and after questioning my bill, he got all hissy with me and became an asshole! He came out to my motorcycle and suggested that I had too much to drink to drive home... He clearly did not like my assessment of AZool, and wanted to take it out on me personally. I literally had to tell him to step aside from from my motorcycle in order to leave the establishment. I do not recommend any association with AZool. If you tip well... even on a regular basis... and yet question the amount on your bill... This asshole will take it out on you. read more

Apparently, there have been employee changes and I'm sure that Covid hasn't helped. I have enjoyed my previous visits in the past but the last three were VERY bad. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to just get a drink order in and then another 10 or so for delivery. Ordered a. Thai chicken sandwich and asked for the toppings on the side, instead received a nasty crispy piece of chicken drowning in a nasty sauce. I never touched it, it looked horrible. I instructions were simple and not followed. The waitress was more interested in closing us out to end her shift, rather to inquire about the food and the new employee never asked how anything was or bothered to see if we needed more beverages. Upon leaving, we noticed how unsanitary the booth areas were, as they were littered with remnance of food and spills that were never attended to, probably for days. There used to be some decent employees there that we enjoyed seeing, but the place has definitely took a turn for the worse. read more

This resturant is located off the Carefree Highway and the I-17. Its up in the Carefree Highway, and is in a shopping complex with other businesses. My friend Austin and I decided to dine here after doing a drive down the carefree highway. Its a restaurant, with a bar feel to it as well. When you walk in, the bar is the center point of the resturant, and the seating boarders the resturant. When we were there, it was seat yourself, and we chose to sit in a booth. They have a nice menu of appitizers, including nachos, spinach dip, and a few other things as well. We were greeted by our hostess, who was warm and friendly. She seemed to have a good grasp on the menu, as we had a few questions about what dish to get. We ended up splitting an appatizer, which was a plate of sliders. They have two different types of sliders, one with sauerkraut, and one that is a french dip style. Since Austin and I couldnt decide which one we wanted, we asked if we could do half and half. The server said thats A Okay, and they did it at no additional charge. The server was really good about offering us all kinds of items. Things like booze, more food, desert, and even after we finished, she asked if I wanted a coffee with baileys! I passed since I was driving. I recomend this place if you are ever up in this area. The frown on my face must have put her into service mode because she said, "we have blue cheese crumbles.". Not a big deal really. I asked an employee if that was the owner and she said; "yes". So, I went up to say I see that you're taking out the tapper for _____ beer. Could you maybe order some in the cans. He would like that. She looked at me like what the F. And walked away very disgruntled and non-caring. Me being a Restaurant Manager; I thought that was extremely rude. What should have been said was; "I can do that- of course". Or, "I will try". Neither was said. We are new to the area and still finding our way around town. It's very misleading from the outside, we probably would not have stopped in if we hadn't checked out the Yelp reviews. This is a really nice local bar and grill. They have a large "shaded" patio area, live music on the weekends and great food. We were looking for a place to go for Happy Hour and decided to check it out. We were greeted by the bar tender, who we later found out that she and her husband were the owners. They have a large bar area with plenty of seating both at the bar and in booths. Looking around, we could tell that this was the favorites for many locals; the patrons seemed to know each other. Our server was friendly and attentive, took our drink order and we got them pretty quick. We took our time looking over the menu, we started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, it was really hot and cheesy, served with Pita Bread. Next we decided to share the Beef Sliders too. Both items were very good. My husband shared that this was our 1st time in and next thing we know, one of the owners, "Mary" comes over to greet us and thanked us for coming in. We felt so welcomed that we know we will be back. Looking forward to coming in on a Saturday night for their Prime Rib dinner and live entertainment. read more

Came here with my lady for dinner and a few drinks. First off, what an incredibly stupid name for an establishment, just very lame and unappealing. Now, I'm trying to be fair here...the service was just unacceptable, as it was very slow, and the staff was rude and unfriendly. The food was subpar at best. I've had TV dinners that were more appetizing than the dinner we had. Lastly, I was harassed by the bartender/owner for not opening a tab. It was psychotic behavior compounded by poor service. Clearly I made a serious mistake taking these reviews at face value and not reading the other reviews these people wrote. Clearly their idea of good food is not my idea of good food. Clearly some cross referencing should have been done. While I ate here twice - once at lunch, once at dinner - my experience was varied and mediocre at best. Lunch was the better of the two for a few reasons - I ordered it to go and I remembered to get my salad dressing on the side. The worst thing ever is over dressed salads and generic restaurants are infamous for it. This place is no exception because at dinner the next night I forgot and my side salad showed up a soggy mess. My marinara at dinner was cream based which is disgusting and also extremely over dressed. I would have been better off ordering no marinara and just the sausage and plain spaghetti noodles. I have to preface this with: Our expectations in the far North Valley are terribly low. That said, Azool is good by any standard. It's set up with the bar in the center, with old-style wooden booths along one wall, a fairly large performance / dining space, and a great patio. The servers really set Azool apart. They all know the menu, they're willing to bend over backwards to get you want you want, and they're always far enough away that they aren't hovering, but close and attentive enough to catch your eye if you need something. The menu is both modern and unpretentious. Everything from barely-grilled panko-crusted ahi sashimi over greens, to basic bar sliders. It's a brief menu (only a page), but it's the kind of food I actually eat. My one complaint is that they only have a handful of beers on tap, and aren't very adventurous with their drinks. Sometimes they have live music, and it's great. Just someone with a guitar and a good voice, playing good music. "Good" about sums up Azool. Everything about it is predictable, but well-done and enjoyable. Update: Went here last night, and they ran out of carbon dioxide for the soda. They ran to the grocery store and bought some bottled soda for us, and still didn't charge us for the drinks. Awesome service. read more

I wish I could comment on the quality of food, but the first 10 minutes were so horrible I couldn't even stay long enough to eat. Walked in with a group of five, including two children under 10, and immediately was overwhelmed by how absolutely loud it was inside. There were multiple TVs blaring and no one to greet us, but rather a bartender who screamed from over the bar to pick a seat. We chose patio seating outside in hopes of actually being able to hear each other speak. We get outside and our waiter takes our drink orders. Before we could even order for the kids, he said that they couldn't have their juice drinks on the patio. Weird, but okay, fine. We asked if we could set them down by our bags and the waiter, without any remorse, said no-- we had to throw them away or put them in the car. Already off to a bad start and we didn't really care to stay for more, so we gladly left. Sure, if I were to bring in a Starbucks coffee and sit down at the restaurant, I would understand, but these were KIDS with gatorades. Typically, the argument against bringing outside beverages in to a restaurant is that the restaurant wants you to purchase a beverage from them, but we weren't even given a chance to order drinks for them (which we had planned on) because of how abrupt the waiter was. And then not to even let us set them aside? Ridiculous. Rules are rules, but be courteous and friendly while delivering them, and maybe make sure everyone has ordered before you start barking them out. read more
