My sister and I came to Terceira to see a volcanic cave called Algar do Carvão, but we discovered when we arrived in Angra do Heroísmo that the organization that runs the natural monument does not provide tours. We rushed to find a place that did and barely made it to Azores Touch on time. They were nevertheless able to accommodate us the same day - key since we only planned to spend one day on Terceira. Transportation, explanations, wonderful conversation, and a snack (cheese and wine) were all provided in a package that included Algar do Carvão, sulphuric vents, and another lava tube at the so-called Christmas Cave. Our two guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and spoke wonderful English. They even took us to the airport afterwards! I'm looking forward to working with Azores Touch again the next time I take a trip here. read more
