You can tell the personal connections with the customers by her visits with patrons. The food has been consistently flavorful each time I have eaten here. Love the white cheese dip! This was my first time at azteca. It was busy but we were able to get a table quickly. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. They had a huge thunder mural which I loved! These might be some of the best street tacos I've had ever let alone in Oklahoma. Portion size is perfect and packed with so much flavor. Love the additional sauces provided on the side. Azteca is popular amongst friends so I thought we'd give it a shot for a Saturday lunch. The service is attentive, normal, and friendly. The really do dress up the place fo the holiday season but this building really does show its age. Food: We split the elote, street tacos, and al la carte tamale. When you dine in you are greeted with complimentary chips, queso & salsa. If I ever return I would only order the street tacos. The carne asada street tacos are great and you can really tell their beef is higher quality. It's on par with my favorite food truck tacos in the metro which is high praise. I'm curious to find out if they offer a decent price happy hour ($2.50 victorias would be nice) because I could see myself returning if that were the case. read more

The food here is very good. I ordered the lunch enchiladas with one ground beef and one cheese enchilada topped with chili sauce. It also came with refried beans and rice. The set up of course is included with your meal. The catch is you are only allowed one free refill. Also relish and tortillas cost extra, however my waitress didn't charge me. I can't say if that's a policy they reinforce. The food came out quickly. The place is under construction but there was no loud racket or anything. Kind of weird but they didn't have onions or cilantro like I would have anticipated but didn't ask the waitress about it. Friend had the chicken quesadilla and said it had great flavor. She also said the beans were good. Neither of us were excited about the rice. Complimentary chips were good. Salsa had an ok flavor but was a bit on the runny side. Quest had lumps in it like it was warm enough or something. There was a guacamole salsa I saw on another table and asked to try. It was really good and made the rice a bit tastier. Last time we was here my husband and I was either right before covid or right after we hadn't been back since then. We decided to try it again today and we are beyond impressed! They have remodeled and expanded the building along with the menu! I got the quesobirra and oh my gosh it was sooo good! The queso and salsa was probably the best I have ever had. The queso was not watered down like most mexican restaurants! We never get dessert either but was so impressed we decided to try dessert and was also impressed at quality. The door states credit card machine is down and cash only. Our waitress said it's now working when we arrived for dinner. Ordered guacamole, chicken flautas, mole enchiladas with beans only and street tacos. $47.74 The guacamole isn't too bad. Their complimentary chips are okay, their salsas and cheese dip, although a bit runny for the cheese and salsas. The spicy, Smokey salsa tastes good, it's served warm too. The chicken flautas comes with two. They are okay, they are long, but still skimp of meat. The mole chicken enchilada comes with two. The chicken mole enchilada was so-so, might have been better if the interior meat was marinated in the mole sauce and topped with the mole sauce as well. The meat was dry. read more

The food is amazing, the hot salsa is so flavorful! We all started with a taco a la cart. I ordered the Mole and it was divine! They accommodated my picky eater with a simple, dry bean & cheese burrito. They accommodated a "no meat" order (and even clarified if cheese was okay. Our eater isn't vegan but it was very appreciated). And the food is served quickly! The service was impeccable. We stopped in needing a table for six at 1pm and didn't have to wait long at all. The dining space is a bit loud but it's happy noises from people filling their bellies and conversing. If you are quick to be cold, bring a sweater. read more

We are here on the last day of a wonderful weekend due to my nephew's graduation from college. My wife googled a Mexican restaurant to come to for Cinco De Mayo while in Oklahoma City and this place came up. We dine at a lot of Mexican restaurants particularly when we are away from home (Chicago) just to experience the different regions. Well, what an awesome experience. I had the crispy tacos, chicken & beef, my wife Joani O, had the mixed fajitas, and our daughter had Beef quesabirria tacos. Very, very good, and the portions were huge. The pictures below don't do it justice. Our waiter was very nice and fast plus efficient! We ordered and five minutes later the kitchen had our meals at the table. I couldn't believe the turnaround. The restaurant had soft mariachi music playing in the background. Great job Azteca restaurant. My family and I will be back when we are in OKC!!! read more

This place is awesome! The tamales are to die for. Everything on the menus is very delicious. The staff is so friendly and the wait can be long but it depends on the day, it has an outside waiting room for people who are waiting. The ambiance is like a normal Mexican restaurant with many people talking which is pretty nice. They paint the walls for every holiday which it is very creative. This is my favorite Mexican place to eat! read more

Disclaimer: I'm from Tucson so I'm spoiled when it comes to great Mexican food. First, the location of Azteca is right off the freeway, and the ambiance was a little disappointing for a special occasion. That said, the service was excellent with a friendly and attentive staff. They handled a big crowd on a Saturday night very well. The food is average by Tucson standards and probably above average for Oklahoma City. My dining partner enjoyed the tortilla soup. Small but quaint authentic Mexican restaurant. The service and waitstaff were very friendly and helpful with food selections. Meal portions are generous. They even allow you to order the lunch selections, even after 5PM. Upon being seated you are presented with a complimentary basket of chips and salsa.
