I have been going here for years, to way back when it was across the street from their current location. I don't ever recall getting bad service or food, they have both always been excellent. My favorite is the steak fajita quesadilla with the chicken tortilla soup running a close second. Their salsa and chips are great. Also really like the queso dip (especially their happy hour size). Well, let's start with the fact that we ordered guac and have had the same pile of broken ass sad chips for about 10 minutes, the waitress is walking around a room with 2 groups and has been conversing with each the entire time, and making her priority the party of 7 that recently strolled in. The only thing good about the experience so far is the happy hour drink, which I couldn't order 10 minutes before is actually started. The chips were hot and fresh though, that being the 15 on top that were actually whole chips. If you want better quality food and service, go down to la costa, never coming back here again, worst service ever read more

Less than five minutes after we were seated, hot chips and salsa arrived. One reviewer said the salsa tasted "canned"- if it's canned, I want to find out what brand it is, because it's very good. It was difficult to decide on our entrees, because so many things on the menu looked delicious. I finally settled on the fajitas quesadillas and my husband had an enchilada plate. We shared a small bowl of quacamole to start. When the entrees arrived, they were almost too pretty to eat. I should have taken a picture of my plate, because it was so artfully arranged. But I was too hungry. The fajitas were delicious, the refried beans were yummy, and there was lots of sour cream and more guacamole to accompany the fajitas. The enchilada and black beans and rice that my husband had were also delicious. And the portions - we're two large adults with healthy appetites, and neither of us could finish our delicious food, so our waiter kindly boxed up the leftovers for us. The only reason I can't give five stars is: (1) the WiFi was funky and basically not working. Also, I wanted to join the loyalty club, because we'll be back, but the manager said I had to do it online and when I tried to do it online (with the funky WiFi) it said I had to do it at the kiosk in the restaurant. I tried that, with no assistance and also with no luck. I hope if a manger is reading this, he/she can assist me in joining the loyalty club, because as I said, we will definitely be back. Great reliable mexican meals.--I often go here for lunch. The servers are friendly and we never have to wait long for our food, which is consistently good. The portions are generous too--love the open feel and mexican style of the restaurant itself. I went to my local azteca in burien the other night, ordered something that i thought was something else... Not to my surprise, it was still delicious, and service was great. My lady wasn't extremely hungry so she wanted only a small portion, the waitress told us they really weren't allowed to let us order off the kids menu but she would let us that time. My family has been a huge azteca fan since my kids were in highchairs and they are 26 and 22 now. We lived at Azteca, we loved it, but no more. They have changed their chips, their salsa, their rice and last but not least their beans. Those are just the changes that I know of. The rice is bland like being served for a nursing home. The beans are runny like soup and it's good they put the two together in a bowl like container, but separate they would be inedible, together you can at least mix them for a little flavor. The chips are burned or dark brown and the salsa used to have a bite along with a sweet flavor and it has neither now. I am so very sad to say I will never be back again. Probably the best Mexican restaurant in the Pacific Northwest, and being from Southern California, trust me on that. It was quite hard to find a Mexican restaurant that I would actually even consider has "decent" food. There are many places that just disappoint, til I found this place. The staff seemed very friendly, and our server was super nice. The manager also was nice. So that's already a good sign. The chips and salsa will go by quick cause of how surprisingly good it was. And then the food arrived and it was very hot, but still edible,how it should be. I just love this place now. I will be coming back. This is the kind of place where you will have a good time, and no matter how busy it is, you won't feel like the staff is rushing you to get out. We had the nachos. First of all, for the price, we barely had any meat or beans in the nachos and we paid extra for meat. We also had a side of refried beans, and those were the most tasteless beans I have ever eaten. The food was below mediocre, I will not be going there for nachos again. We went to the Burien location last night as a surprise meal for mom before she left for Arizona. The service was nice, and our food was served, which looked as expected. I have worked in the food service industry, so I was pretty dissatisfied with the quality. Every food item was bland and lacked the taste we were looking for; the rice had no color, the beans runny, the chicken chimichangas also were bland and lacked "crispness". growing up, i used to love azteca, but now, it's diminished a little since i've traveled around and ate at taquerias and other authentic mexican eateries. the food is good, don't get me wrong, but it's not the best. i usually order the same couple of items when i go there, either a large chicken nachos azteca, a chicken fajita or a chicken fajita burrito. the nachos are good, cheese in about every bite. the shredded chicken is a little bland, but with all the rest of the stuff they put on, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, sour cream, green onions, jalepenos, you tend to forgive that. the fajita burrito is really tasty and is suggested if you want a fajita, but dont want to smell like one after the meal. the free chips and salsa is always warm and good. i like the fact that they have chipotle tabasco, not too many restaurants offer that. the service is okay, depends on when you go and who is serving you. i like the desserts though, the fried ice cream and the flan are good. this is a good place, but not great, i still come here every now and then. read more

Ask for the check and boxes to go come to find out I ordered two Moley sauce is on the side which are dollar 50 at any restaurant I called they charged me five dollars for one of their sauces total $10 for two sauces on the way out I talked to the manager he says that's what our sauces cost called the aztec up other restaurants it's a dollar 25 for that sauce I was so mad came back talk to the owner he kept shoeing me away from the customers he said this is a family restaurant I was not cussing he said I'm sorry here's the difference he gave me at $11 tip included in the $11 for the sauces guys watch out for this restaurant if they did this to me probably did this to a lot of customers they're making bank food was good but I can't believe they ripped me off like that they could've just said here's your money back manager was no help He knew what's going on I could tell such a Weasel of a guy if you decide to eat there please check your receipts and call them on it thanks never did a report but this one seems like I needed to be. read more
