---Atmosphere, Service & Parking-- I've visited these guys a couple times when they were parked at Rosenthal Winery in Malibu during the spring and summer. They give you a number and bring out food to you when it's ready. Easy to order from, pretty decent looking food and a menu that should have something to like. ---Food, Drinks, & Prices--- I think the first time I ordered fish tacos they had as a special or something and those were tasty. This second time I ordered a chicken burrito which was massive and cajun fries. The burrito was filled with chicken, sour cream, guac, rice, cheddar, lettuce, and tomatoes, I think that was all. I usually get water but I'm sure they carry some other things. Their menu is filled with such things as burritos, tacos, wraps, salads, enchiladas, burgers, pastas, more. Having been disappointed with my recent taco lunches, I was skeptical about trying the Azteca truck, particularly when the menu seemed so expansive - burgers, pastas, salads, sandwiches, wraps, seafood plates, burritos, quesadillas and tacos. I wondered if any of it was good. So, since I wasn't really all that hungry, I decided to try something small. As I looked over the menu, I asked if the carne asada was seasoned as I have had several experiences with carne asada that has obviously just been cooked briefly with a few onions and cilantro, which does not qualify as "seasoning". I was assured that the meat was flavorful so I ordered a taco with mild salsa ($2). A few minutes later - after a squeeze of lime - I bit into soft tortillas with a large portion of carne asada with a spicy green salsa. It was actually quite good. After the second bite, I thought about turning back around to get another one. I'm not sure about the other menu items, but the taco was pretty good. If I saw this truck again, I would try someting else - maybe a quesadilla or the curry chicken taco, which seemed like a unique twist. read more

Standard fare food truck. Was the only eatery at the Winery we were at, with decently priced burgers for $10 a pop. Got the Blue Moon Burger, which was a beef patty with blue cheese on top. The burger was a little thin, but had pretty good flavor. I was more disappointed on the fries, which I paid extra to upgrade to the garlic Parmesan fries. They were basically regular fries with just light flavorings of cheese and garlic, and weren't very flavorful. Overall nothing stood out. Maybe should have drank more wine instead and brought some food from the nearby market. read more

I come here during my lunch, I really enjoy the food. Also it is not too expensive and has decent portions.

The salmon plate is probably everybody's favorite at my office. The vegetables are very buttery though so if you don't like a lot of butter you may want to mention that. The Spanish rice is top notch. And most of their other Spanish dishes are fantastic. Burgers I would say our average for a food truck. Nothing special. The Spanish torta sandwiches are great. The only place it gets a little iffy is when you start to order their Asian menu. Why they even have an Asian menu is beyond me, but be warned if you are tempted to order it. They use Spanish rice or plain spaghetti noodles in their Asian dishes. No fried rice or chow mein here. I would not recommend any of their Asian rice dishes due to the fact that Spanish rice goes horribly with Asian food. The spaghetti-stir-fry dishes however, though spaghetti noodles don't absorb the flavor like chow mein would, I had their special "cashew shrimp" today and aside from the texture of the noodle, it was fantastic. There was tons of shrimp, tons of vegetables, pineapple and cashews. To sum it up, stick with their Spanish menu, but if you venture off, you won't be too disappointed aside from the Spanish rice stir-fry items. read more

Azteca is not the avg food truck. They are outside my office in West LA about 3days out of the week. Food is ALWAYS prepared fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. And it's not the usual burger fries etc. They offer blackened Salmon & veggies, chicken melts, salmon sliders (super yummy), fish tacos, hearty salads and even pasta dishes. Service is great. You are greeted with a smile and politeness from the woman taking orders. She gets orders in quickly and cooks get orders out hot & fresh. Keep up the great work. read more

This place kind of sucks for vegetarians. First of all I know vegetables cost less than meat so how is the veggie menu more expensive? A veggie burger doesn't come with French fries even though it says all burgers do and instead cost 3 extra dollars. They also told me they couldn't make veggie tacos! Which is totally ridiculous because they clearly have all the stuff for them. Wow! I was fortunate enough to get to try this place out at the Rosenthal Winery Saturday afternoon . I had the fish tacos & the salmon burger , both HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! Got a burger and loved it! We ate at the truck at the Free Museum Day at LACMA. And I always get excited when I see food trucks. I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger with Fries. And it was very, very good. The meat was cooked through, not too well done. The bun was grilled, and a tad (not a lot) greasy. But it was very flavorful, and felt sinful. The blue cheese was just that right amount of bite. My daughter was like "What is that stuff on the Fries!" in a good way. I think it was seasoned salt. They were the very thin fries. Very tasty. Actually, probably could've ordered just the fries and been full. The portions were huge! And the price was just right. About $8 for combo. We topped it off with a churro for $2. It tasted homemade, if that's even possible! The price for churro a bit high, but forgivable for outing to museum. If you see the truck, I recommend it. read more

Passed the truck driving to get oil for my car but being the sucker i am for presentation, the truck's paint job lingered in my mind even after getting the oil so i googled them quicklu to find mouthwatering pics of shrimp tacos that low and behold were not dried and were actually topped with something even more delivious than cilantro.... MANGO! so i turbed around and headed to feed my curiosity and was greeted by a lovely lady who answered all my questions and appreciated my enthusiasm. Got the Azteca salad. The chicken was seasoned nicely and was very tender. There were loads of mango pieces and avocado on the salad. Also had a generous helping of tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Loads of lettuce as well... I would have liked a bit less lettuce and a bit more of everything else. All in all a very yummy salad. read more

Azteca is the best food truck dining experience I've ever had! I ordered the grilled salmon salad with mango, mixed greens, and tortilla strips. One word to describe it: awesome! The salmon was as deliciously fresh and perfectly prepared as it would be at an expensive gourmet restaurant, yet it only cost $11! The staff were all extremely friendly. I was having a really shitty day at work, so I left the office for lunch. I saw this food truck just outside and gave it a go. Very glad I did. It brightened my day A LOT! I got the asada melt. It was DELICIOUS. The meat was full of flavor as were the fries that came with it. The toasted egg bread and melted cheddar-jack cheese really complimented the meat nicely. So these guys were parked on Wilshire across from LACMA last week Monday around 2pm. I had passed them up to order from Wise BBQ first and boy was I wrong! I came running back after a disappointing meal and was hoping to buy something "cheap" since I had already spent money on a meal. I ordered the quesadilla and score! This by far has been one of the best quesadillas I have ever eaten in my life. I think I paid between $7-9 for a generous portion. The quesadilla is served with sour cream, guac and pico de gallo. There are some interesting things on this truck I've never seen on a Mexican food truck. I tried their Caprice Sandwich, (Yes I know, they spell it that way). This is a good sandwich and it is based on a Caprese Salad. Fresh tomato, Bufalo Mazzarella and a balsamic vinegarette. They upped the ante on this one by adding pest and chicken and serving it on a Telera, (Torta), roll. The flavors melded perfectly and the texture was spot on. While I was waiting for my sandwich I noticed some of the othere things they serve beyond you standard Mexican fare. There were several pasta dishes, some unexpected sandwiches and salads as well as some good looking Mexican food. I went out on a limb and ordered curry chicken tacos, having never experienced this truck before. They were simply amazing. Every bite was delicious. I loved the spices in the curry and the flavor of the cilantro with it. The jicama and carrots added great texture. Definitely try these!!! Can't wait to try more from this truck. I also did not understand why the vegetarian options did not come with any sides, when the regular burgers did, and they cost about the same. Vegetables are cheaper than meat any ways. We have about a dozen trucks come to my work place everyday and out of all of them, Azteca truck is the best. The food is a lot better than many restaurants in the area and there is a lot more than just Mexican food. My favorite is the chicken club sandwich, Im not sure what the use for a marinade...but its one of my favorites sandwiches period. read more

Today I ordered a cheeseburger combo meal and paid a total of $9.00. The meat in the burger had no flavor what so ever. The fries reminded me of Burger King fries sprinkled with Lawry's seasoning salt. They should have sprinkled some seasoning salt on the burger to give it some flavor. My husband I I were at LACMA last week and I saw the food trucks lines up. Azteca had an interesting menu and I wanted to try it but my husband was skeptical...thinking of the old greasy spoon food trucks. We had the grilled salmon with mango salsa..WOW...delicious! We eat at some fine restaurants and I cook gourmet so I am very picky when it comes to food. The salmon was perfectly cooked and very fresh...nicely seasoned...just delicious! Not usually a reviewer, but I thought my Blackened Salmon with Vegetables was worth mentioning. One of the first times I can recall that I felt I got decent value from a food truck, after one too many $12 burger and fry combos from other trucks. $11, so not cheap, but a good-sized piece of salmon, very well seasoned and perfectly cooked, with a mango salsa with just a hint of a kick and sauteed carrots and zucchini. Trying to eat a little healthier and the salmon seemed to fit the bill nicely. Don't get me wrong - the last time they were at our office I had their Cowboy Burger and fries, which was a standout from the usual burger options, but not on the new nutrition plan. I'm glad to find other parts of their menu are as good as their burgers. Looking forward to their next trip! read more
