To be honest this spot came through so many times after a night of too many drinks and needing something to come back to life. Their tacos de burrito are so good and the tortilla is kind of fried, sirven bien doraditos los tacos, so they don't fall apart when you dip them in the consomé (broth). What I used to do was get a few tacos and a larger order of consomé and then use that broth to make ramen with and omg, so good! lol it was the gift that kept on giving. Can't wait to go back. I've been to their Northridge location before, and one day while driving through sherman way. I noticed they also had a taco truck set up. I had to stop and check it out. The food is delicious and very authentic Tijuana-style street tacos done right. I've tried several items from the menu including the torta, quesadillas, tacos, dorados de birria, and carne asada, and everything has been flavorful and satisfying. The birria tacos are definitely a standout. Service is always great and fast, which makes it an easy stop when you're craving good street food. Popped by to support a woman-owned biz for Women's History Month! I ordered three tacos - pastor, asada and birria with all the fixings! The pastor wasn't my favorite but the asada was solid. My absolute favorite was the birria! The consume was outstanding. I drank everything that was left over after dipping my taco into it. I ordered online and my food was ready FAST! The person who handed me my order was super friendly. I was happy to see they included lots of salsa on the side with my order. There was plenty of parking when I came by to pick up my order so the whole process was seamless. My boyfriend went to go pick up food for us on a Wednesday around 11 am. Since they're close to a park, he just parked in the parking lot of the park and walked over, since street parking was limited. There was no line when he went and only 2 people ordered after him while he waited (about 5 minutes). He got us the carne asada torta, 2 birria tacos, 2 carne asada tacos, and 2 al pastor tacos. He also got guacamole on everything except the birria. They asked him if he wanted everything with them and he said yes. "Everything" included 2 red salsas, 2 green salsas, limes, and radish slices. It came out to around $29. Absolutely bomb! The tacos were around $2 and were better than this taco stand my boyfriend and I normally go to at night. They were so full of meat also. I really like their taco de birria best and second best, their taco de asada (TJ-style with guac). They recently added a truck along Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks. I prefer this taco truck in Lake Balboa more than the brick-and-mortar locations. Something about ordering from a truck and eating along a street at the park? The tacos are small (2-3 bites) but consistently good if you're looking for birria. For other strong tacos in the Lake Balboa area, try Tacos Mayos open during the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday?) or Angel's Tijuana Tacos for the taco de adobada/al pastor with grilled cheese. read more

I've been coming here for three years and it's the best Mexican food in LA, period. I get the torta every single time and the quality is 10/10 without fail. Highly highly recommend this place!!! This place makes delicious tacos, quesadillas, tostadas, etc. My husband and I lately we've been craving birria quesadillas and consomé. This place is absolutely your "go to" place for your birria needs. I tried the Quesabirria (Quesadilla with birria meat inside) super delicious, it has a super delicious flavor, well seasoned, it has a spicy kick that compliments the delicious flavor of the birria. The consomé is simply delicious, even if you're not into Birria get the consomé with your choice of tacos.
