"Dan is the man!"...as others have said. He is extremely professional and has a big heart that shows. He takes care of his clients and even goes above and beyond to ensure they know what is going on. I had little knowledge about the entire process aside from my "Dummies" book and info I found on the internet. What I found very helpful from Dan was that he wanted to make sure I understood each step, each process, who, what, when things were happening from the 3 contingencies, loan, etc. And when I had questions, as I quite often do :-p he patiently answered them and painted the picture for me, so to speak. He also was ALWAYS available to help. There were times I felt bad because I thought I was taking up his time but he assured me that he didn't mind helping because his clients are a priority. He also was not pushy like some others I've experiend who you can just tell they're in it for the $$$. And as far as his team goes, it's him and a couple of other people in their Loan City office. If you choose to work with him, you'll be guaranteed that HE will be your point of contact and no one else! Other companies are set up where you think you're working with your POC then later get calls from their "people" which can be 4-5 other randoms. This can cause confusion because person 1 calls about X when you've already explained it to person 2. There's no fluidity in that type of model versus with Dan, that's who you get: himself. From beginning to end, he is there! I also found his scenario worksheets to be extremely helpful as I e.g. wanted to know can I afford scenario B over C or what about scenario D over E, etc.? Excellent customer service is a thing of the past, right? I quickly determined on my first phone call with Dan I could not be more wrong. He was very responsive, which is a great quality when your "OMG I'm buying my first house" panic, sets in. As a first time homebuyer I had plethora of nagging questions along the way and was very needy. Dan was overly patient with me, and took a great deal of time to effectively communicate and address my relentless concerns. He made me feel comfortable with every decision along the way and helped guide me to custom fit the right options for me. From my experience as a consumer, Loan Officers can be pushy, and are overly aggressive in effort of making a sale. I felt the exact opposite with Dan. He thoroughly broke down all of the options available to me, and outlined the pros and cons of each loan product. Competitive rates were proposed to me. When it came time to pull the trigger and settle on a Lender, Dan was the guy. I found that Dan was available outside of business hours; evenings, and weekends. How many Loan Officers take your call on at 9AM Sunday morning? He was always prepared to go above and beyond the call of duty. Furthermore he touched bases with me if not daily, every couple days just to keep me up to date with the progression. We were confronted with various obstacles throughout the process, due to my employment history and debt to income etc. I felt as though, I was ultimately going to be unable to obtain a home loan. Dan was highly skilled with creating strategic alternatives. He always pulled a rabbit out of his hat, and proposed a practical solution. I found that Dan not only met, but exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, he maintained an optimal level of performance and professionalism, coupled with a stellar knowledge base. After reading a guide to home buying in California, I opted to utilize the help of a mortgage broker. Dan was recommended to me by my close friends who had recently purchased a first home with Dan's help. A quick Yelp search motivated me to contact Dan right away. I emailed Dan and he quickly gave me a call. I explained to him that I was a first time home buyer. We went over some quick numbers and he gave me a rough idea of what I could afford. It was at this point I decided it was time to look for a realtor. Once I found a realtor I was comfortable with, I filled out a mortgage application and submitted that to Dan and he was able to send off a pre-qualification letter to my realtor so that my home hunt could begin. Dan had offered to sit down with me for some question and answer time. I was very overwhelmed at the whole aspect of home buying so I was happy for the opportunity to be able to have so many questioned easily answered. Dan made himself available for a day after I got off from work. I had never realized there were so many options with financing a home! Buying points, working certain costs into the loan, etc. I communicated to Dan that the absolute lowest monthly payment was my main goal. With every option for the loan, Dan went over the pros and cons with me. He explained at what point in time it would be worth it to pay the price outright, or work it into financing. His knowledge was truly invaluable. I found a house which I wanted to put in an offer for. After my offer was accepted, it was up to Dan to oversee the financing so that the house could become mine! It was not a smooth road; I had several hiccups along the way. I don't know if my challenges are common in home buying, but I do know that Dan worked very hard to resolve them for me. With every problem that arose, Dan had a plan B. He was able to see two steps ahead and how to deal with issues. His problem solving ability were very comforting to me when I felt in over my head. Poor Dan was stuck in the middle, dealing with my frustrations when things got rocky, but unsurprisingly, he's more than capable of navigating those troubled waters like the professional that he is. Due to the aforementioned problems, my time in escrow took a bit longer than anticipated. When I was very close to closing I told Dan and my relator that my lease was up in just a few days. While I had a place to stay if need be, I did not want to be moving in and out of a storage unit in such a short amount of time. Dan absolutely hustled for me to make sure that the house closed when it needed to for me to move my belonging in and avoid the need for a storage unit. My realtor called me with the great news that I could come and get the keys! He said that he had never worked with Dan prior to my home purchase, but he would be happy to work with Dan again. He even stated that Dan was an absolute rock star in making sure that the house closed in the time that I needed it to. Dan was SUCH a Godsend for me! I am SO eternally grateful to Dan for all his hard work. He has so much experience, so you don't need to lose your head when a problem arises (and believe me, you should expect problems). He makes himself EXTREMELY available and you don't ever need to worry about not being able to get ahold of him. This is going to be a long review but I have to share how phenomenal our experience with Dan was! My husband and I started out the process of purchasing our first home by speaking with a lender recommended by our realtor. We quickly identified we had no idea what we are doing and felt like we were in over our heads. I was about to give up on purchasing a home until we had more time to do research- and then I found Dan on yelp when searching for a broker to do the work for us. Dan was OUTSTANDING from Day 1. What can I say about Dan K., he is a very thorough and humbled person; he goes above and beyond for his new homebuyers such as he did for me and my partner. We are glad that we were able to reach out to a family member of ours whom referred us to another lender, which that lender evidently led me to Dan since he has years of good reputation amongst the Real Estate and Mortgage community [e.g. iMortgage]. I do want to disclose that I only write YELP reviews when the services was extremely crappy or exceptionally gratifying. In this case, we were extremely satisfied with his services and I appreciate the gift after closing, which I'm sure he did not have to do, but as I mention; he is a humble person. I really do not know where to start, other than I have had great experiences with all my previous mortgage brokers. Each of my experiences have been top notch, therefore, how can my next one be topped? With Dan Klevenskiy you you are going to get beyond 5 star treatment. My wife and I talked about refinancing and exploring some options. Like most Americans, we dragged our feet on getting started. I began to explore our options and contacted some brokers. I started at the 10,000 foot level and worked my way down to the best possible option for my family. One of the brokers I reached out to was Dan. I am not going to lie, I am pretty indecisive and I ask a ton of questions and Dan gave me his personal number and told me to contact him anytime and I did. I contacted him late in the evening when I had time to review options. Dan responded and Dan was in New York at the time! Needless to say, my wife was annoyed that I was sending Dan text messages because of the three hour time difference. Dan always responded. If he could not get you the answer right away, he let you know and then followed through. Dan walked us through every possible option, ran reports for us, kept us up to date with rates and was INCREDIBLY patient with my incessant text messages and questions. I reached out to Dan when I was denied home loan through a bank and found his company on Yelp I was feeling really discouraged at this time but wanted a second opinion and Dan answered the phone and spoke to me for like a hour or more, just informing me of all the options I have and what everything means since I was coming into this as a first time home buyer. Dan has been the best mortgage broker I ever had to deal with...hands down. I had refinanced my home twice in the past few yrs, and had contacted two other brokers this time around before my wife found Dan on Yelp. His previous reviews did not lie. He made this process very easy for us. We only had to meet up with him once, and within 2 or 3 weeks, we were closing escrow and getting started with our new home loan. He acted as the middle-man all along the way (between us and the title co. and between us and the new lender). Any questions I had, regardless what it was, I'd address them to him and he would get back to me ASAP. There were a couple of times when I shot him an email late at night and he would reply within minutes....it seemed as though he was ALWAYS working!! The best part of all of this was the $$ he saved us. We received about 2K from the title co., which combimed with the 2 mortgage payments we got to skip, plus the check i received for the balance in my old escrow account, we walked with away with plenty of $$ in our pocket.
