Best Lasagna I've have ever eaten Meatballs were melt in your mouth delicious
    Charles B.

Back again last night in Sorrento to eat at the best restaurant here. You must try the lasagna meatballs you will not believe how real Italian food tastes.

This was genuinely the best food I had in italy. Hands down - no question. Service was amazing. Dancing chef in the back has SUPERIOR dance moves. And the food - holy sh**, it was fire. And let me just reiterate. This restaurant. Was so. F'n fire. Do yourself a mf favor. Eat here. When you go back home and start dreaming about it. Go back the next day. Eat here again. Thats all I got. 12/10 PS: Extra points for Nino

Oh. My. God...best meal that we had on our entire vacation in Italy! The gnocci were perfect pillows of dough in thd most amazing sauce. The pizza was delicious; perfect crust, amount of sauce and cheese. If you are in Sorrento, find this place. You will not be disappointed.

Expect to stand in line, but worth the wait. Friendly and family run service. The meatballs were so light and flavorful. Highly recommend! The Arribiatta had just the right amount of spice and the gnocchi was excellent. We saw many plates of lasagna being served and it looked delicious! Quaint interior and slightly intimate ambiance.

Loved it so much that we came back for a second meal! Not only is the food superb but it is a family owned restaurant where the people are so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very homey and all the dishes are beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

Cacio e pepe the best I had!

The wait is worth every moment! We had the meatballs (best in Italy) and I had the cacio e pepe which was mouth watering! The place is adorable inside and out.

Was in Italy in September 2025. Azz! is located on the main street in Sorrento, Italy. If you happen to be visiting Sorrento for a few days and are not sure where to eat, this place is a MUST! The food is fresh, homemade, and made with care and love. The owner is really kind and made sure my parents and I were taken care of. There is a bit of a wait in line if you're going to have dinner here, and that really speaks to how good the food is here. I had the Parmesan Alfredo pasta, my mom had the Gnocchi (which I typically don't eat, but specific dish was just soooo delicious!) and my Dad had a fish dish of some sort that I can't remember. It was all really tasty and I wish I had taken a picture of the food! We were seated outside and the vibe makes you feel like you're eating a home cooked meal.

By far my favorite restaurant in Sorrento! The food was amazing and the staff friendly!

We went on the earlier side, and I'm glad we did. The line got sooo long after we got seated. But once the food started coming we understood why. Everything was delicious. We ordered pizza, lasagna, meatball, ravioli, bruschetta, burrata, and T-bone. Everything was delicious. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the T-bone that needed a little bit of salt and was a bit overdone for my husband's taste. Otherwise, we were extremely happy to have dined there. The staff was also very kind, and their mascot, Nino, was pretty funny!

Small, family run restaurant. Often a line, but worth the wait. Amazing pizza and pasta.

Ate here once. Food was good. Just wished that seating was better. It was extremely hot with no air. Definitely a must have.

Stopped in for dinner after a long day of touring in Pompeii. We passed a Michelin-starred…read morerestaurant to dine here. It was definitely worth it. The restaurant is in a back alley and made for a private experience. We had three servers taking care of us and making sure we were enjoying our dining experience. The focaccia was better than any I have had. It had fresh veggies and the olive oil blended the flavors perfectly. I had the lasagna, not as good as mine at home but delicious. My daughter had the special, a lemon shrimp pasta. She said it was heavy on the lemon but fresh and delightful. I would recommend the restaurant if you have time to slow down and enjoy your food. We didn't have dessert because the serving size was just right.

To make it worse the manager tries to argue that you ate both and need to pay. Challenging since all the staff saw the waiter take it back. The waiter then corrected the bill, but the damage was done. Being insulted and called a liar is poor hospitality. Simply avoid, the positive reviews must be fake. A table of 4 next to us got up after no one went to them, after waiting for 15-20 minutes. They went across the street- wish I did the same. Incredibly awful experience. From food, to rude and ignorant staff, to bugs all over. A must miss place.

Having visited multiple places in Italy and Sicily the last time, this place stood out as one of the favorite spots on our trip. Of course we had to stop by again, and we were not disappointed. When in Sorrento, lemon pasta is a must, but I have the say that the true star was La Genovese pasta, which was recommended by our server. My husband still liked lemon pasta best, which means you really can't go wrong. Their bread was also delicious, particularly the white bread and the breadsticks, and they give you balsamic vinegar and olive oil for it. Considering most of the bread we had in Italy was surprisingly disappointing, it's exciting to eat somewhere that the food is good from start to finish. They also gave us one scoop of limoncello and one scoop of lemon gelato for dessert. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the lemon gelato. This is our second time back, and we would not hesitate to eat here again the next time we're in Sorrento. Servers were also friendly and helpful. The food does take a while, but that goes to show that it all is freshly made. This place is great whether it's for a casual dining experience or for date night. They also have free WiFi, just ask them for the info. I love that it's also a family establishment, and family members work at the restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.

Our servers were kind and patient and we even had a chance to meet the owner! I would highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered a variety of pasta dishes. I do not remember the names of the dishes, but my favorite ones were the lemon pasta and the T-none Florentine steak cooked to perfection! The limoncello at the end of our meal topped it off for me! I will certainly return when I come back to Firenze!
